  • Padres' Jurickson Profar: Held out of starting lineup

Profar (knee) is out of the lineup for Saturday's game against the Brewers.

Profar was removed for a pinch runner late in Friday's game due issues with his knee. Considering he's dealt with an injury to his left knee recently, his removal could be precautionary. However, Tyler Wade will fill left field Saturday.

  • Padres' Fernando Tatis: Out of lineup Saturday

Tatis (triceps) is out of the lineup for Saturday's game against Milwaukee.

Tatis was hit by a pitch during Friday's game and was lifted from the contest. He'll remain on the bench to begin Saturday's game while dealing with a bruised triceps. David Peralta will bat sixth and play right field.

  • Padres' Luis Campusano: Absent from starting nine

Campusano (thumb) is out of the lineup for Saturday's game against Milwaukee.

Campusano was scratched from Friday's lineup with soreness in his left thumb and will remain on the bench to begin Saturday's game. Kyle Higashioka will be behind the plate and bat ninth.

  • Geoff Hartlieb RP | ATH

Rockies' Geoff Hartlieb: DFA'd by Colorado

The Rockies designated Hartlieb for assignment Saturday.

After having his contract selected June 8, Hartlieb appeared in five games for the Rockies, registering a 9.00 ERA and 1.89 WHIP over nine innings. The move corresponds with Colorado selecting the contract of Austin Kitchen from Triple-A Albuquerque.

  • Joe Musgrove SP | SD

Padres' Joe Musgrove: Takes step toward return

Musgrove (elbow) lightly threw weighted plyometric balls Thursday, MLB.com reports.

A previous report indicated Musgrove could play catch around the middle of the week, but it turns out the extent of his throwing was the work he did with the plyo balls. The workout was, however, a step in his progression toward playing catch, which could happen before the end of the month. Musgrove doesn't seem close to taking part in a rehab assignment and isn't likely to be activated off the 15-day injured list until after the All-Star break.

  • Mike Siani CF | BAL

Cardinals' Michael Siani: Exits game after diving catch

Siani was removed from Saturday's game against the Cubs due to bruised ribs.

Siani made a spectacular diving catch in the top of the third inning, but he came up in discomfort and left the game shortly thereafter. Dylan Carlson has taken over for Siani in center field.

  • Mets' Starling Marte: Exits game with right knee injury

Marte left Saturday's game against the Cubs due to a sore right knee, Abbey Mastracco of the New York Daily News reports.

Marte left after the first inning and was replaced by Tyrone Taylor in center field. It's the same knee that has been sore for Marte over the last few weeks. The Mets will hopefully provide some clarity on the severity of the injury following Saturday's game.

  • Yu Darvish SP | SD

Padres' Yu Darvish: Next start will be in majors

Darvish (groin) is expected to come off the injured list to make his next start with San Diego, per MLB.com.

Darvish struggled in a minor-league rehab start with High-A Fort Wayne on Wednesday, allowing six runs on seven hits and one walk while striking out three batters over 3.1 innings. He threw only 49 pitches in that outing, but the Padres nonetheless appear intent on moving him back into the rotation for his next appearance. It hasn't yet been announced when Darvish will make that start, but given the typical time between outings, it's logical to expect Monday or Tuesday versus Washington to be the target date.

  • Nick Martini DH | COL

Reds' Nick Martini: Back in action Saturday

Martini (hand) is starting as Cincinnati's designated hitter and batting seventh Saturday versus Boston.

Martini missed three games after getting hit in the hand by a pitch Monday, but the soreness has seemingly subsided ahead of Saturday's contest. The 33-year-old is slashing just .210/.260/.353 through 131 big-league plate appearances this season, though he has tallied a hit in all three of the games he's played in since returning from Triple-A Louisville last week.

  • Reds' Tyler Stephenson: Still out Saturday

Stephenson (undisclosed) isn't in the Reds' lineup Saturday against the Red Sox.

Manager David Bell said Friday that Stephenson is day-to-day with an undisclosed injury. It's still unclear what the 27-year-old backstop is dealing with, but it's enough to sideline him for a second consecutive game Saturday. While he recovers, Luke Maile will pick up another start behind the plate and bat eighth.
