Jake Bauers 1B | MIL
Brewers' Jake Bauers: Notches ninth steal
Bauers went 0-for-3 with two walks, a stolen base and a run scored in Tuesday's 5-4 loss to the Giants.
Bauers has drawn multiple walks in three of his 14 games in August, but he doesn't have a multi-hit effort in that span. The 28-year-old is batting just .105 (4-for-38) this month, though three of those hits have been home runs. For the year, he's down to a .199/.309/.386 slash line with 11 homers, nine steals, 40 RBI and 40 runs scored over 285 plate appearances. His batting average hadn't been lower than .200 since May 5.

Willy Adames SS | SF
Brewers' Willy Adames: Lifts 24th homer
Adames went 2-for-5 with a two-run home run in Tuesday's 5-4 loss to the Giants.
Adames has homered in back-to-back games and has gone 6-for-15 (.400) with four walks across his last four contests. The shortstop is batting .277 (23-for-83) in August and is up to a .253/.339/.455 slash line with 24 homers, 88 RBI, 76 runs scored and 14 stolen bases through 131 contests overall. Adames was mostly mediocre from May through July, but an everyday role and strong production in the counting stats throughout the year have given him a safe floor in fantasy.

Jackson Chourio LF | MIL
Brewers' Jackson Chourio: Productive in Tuesday's loss
Chourio went 1-for-5 with a two-run home run and a stolen base in Tuesday's 5-4 loss to the Giants.
Chourio reached on an error and stole second in the first inning for his third theft over the last eight games. He then ended a nine-game homer drought with a third-inning long ball. The rookie outfielder has cooled off a bit in the latter half of the month, hitting just .250 (10-for-40) over his last 10 games after going 19-for-55 (.345) over the first 13 contests in August. He's now at a .272/.318/.444 slash line with 16 homers, 19 steals, 59 RBI and 62 runs scored through 118 games this season.

Tobias Myers RP | NYM
Brewers' Tobias Myers: Surrenders three runs
Myers allowed three runs on three hits and a walk while striking out four over five innings in a no-decision versus the Giants on Tuesday.
Myers allowed solo home runs to Matt Chapman and Grant McCray. He left the game on the hook for the loss, but Myers was bailed out by Willy Adames putting the Brewers briefly ahead with a two-run homer in the sixth. August has been just okay for Myers, who has allowed 10 runs (eight earned) over 27 innings this month, though he's pitched into the sixth inning in just two of his five starts in that span. He's now at a 2.99 ERA, 1.13 WHIP and 94:28 K:BB over 108.1 innings through 21 appearances (20 starts). The rookie right-hander's next start is projected to be in Cincinnati.

Mike Yastrzemski LF | ATL
Giants' Mike Yastrzemski: Swats homer in win
Yastrzemski went 1-for-4 with a two-run home run in Tuesday's 5-4 win over the Brewers.
Yastrzemski's seventh-inning blast put the Giants ahead for good. The outfielder has found some success lately, going 7-for-22 (.318) with two homers and four RBI over his last six contests. Overall, he's maintained a .243/.307/.432 slash line with 11 homers, 42 RBI, 44 runs scored and three stolen bases over 113 games this year, mainly in a strong-side platoon role, though he hasn't been held out versus every southpaw. His main competitors for playing time are Mark Canha and Jerar Encarnacion, who have been utilized more frequently at first base and designated hitter rather than right field.

Grant McCray RF | SF
Giants' Grant McCray: Homer, steal in win
McCray went 1-for-3 with a solo home run, a walk, a stolen base and two total runs scored in Tuesday's 5-4 win over the Brewers.
McCray has homered in back-to-back games and has logged both of his steals over the last three contests. The 23-year-old has settled in easily as the Giants' starting center fielder, logging four multi-hit effort in 11 games. He's batting .308 with three homers, four RBI, five runs scored and three doubles through 42 plate appearances.
-
Matt Chapman 3B | SF
Giants' Matt Chapman: Clubs homer in win
Chapman went 3-for-4 with a solo home run and an additional run scored in Tuesday's 5-4 win over the Brewers.
Chapman tied the game at 2-2 with his fourth-inning blast. The third baseman had gone just 1-for-15 over his previous four contests before breaking out of that short slump Tuesday. He's up to a .246/.333/.443 slash line, 21 homers, 64 RBI, 87 runs scored and 13 stolen bases over 130 games this season.

Camilo Doval RP | SF
Giants' Camilo Doval: Snags win Tuesday
Doval (5-1) allowed a hit and two walks while striking out two in a scoreless inning to earn the win Tuesday over the Brewers.
Doval relieved Logan Webb in the sixth inning and quickly got two outs before loading the bases. Doval was able to get Jackson Chourio to fly out, ending the threat and setting the stage for the Giants to pull ahead for good on a Mike Yastrzemski two-run home run in the seventh. Doval hasn't allowed a run over 2.1 innings since he was recalled from Triple-A Sacramento, but he has walked three batters in that span. A high walk rate was a big part of what led to his demotion, and it'll continue to keep him out of the biggest spots in games moving forward. For the year, Doval has a 4.47 ERA, 1.62 WHIP and 60:32 K:BB across 46.1 innings. He's no threat to Ryan Walker as the Giants' closer at this time.
-
Ryan Walker RP | SF
Giants' Ryan Walker: Secures fourth save
Walker allowed a hit and struck out one over a scoreless inning to earn the save in Tuesday's 5-4 win over the Brewers.
Walker gave up just a two-out single while protecting a one-run lead. He's continued his dominance in August, allowing one unearned run while posting a 24:2 K:BB over 12.2 innings this month. He's also earned all four of his saves in that span. Walker still looks to be the Giants' closer even with Camilo Doval back from a brief stint at Triple-A Sacramento. Walker has easily been the Giants' best reliever this year with a 1.95 ERA, 0.88 WHIP and 90:15 K:BB over 69.1 innings.

Logan Webb SP | SF
Giants' Logan Webb: Yields two homers in no-decision
Webb allowed four runs on four hits and three walks while striking out four over five-plus innings in a no-decision versus the Brewers on Tuesday.
Webb gave up two-run home runs to Jackson Chourio and Willy Adames. This was the first time in seven starts Webb has given up a homer, and the first time all year he's allowed multiple long balls. He also allowed more than two runs for the first time in six starts. Webb is now at a 3.24 ERA, 1.20 WHIP and 150:44 K:BB through 177.2 innings over 28 starts this year. The right-hander's next start is projected to be at home versus the Marlins.
