The Brewers recalled Peguero from Triple-A Nashville on Tuesday, Adam McCalvy of MLB.com reports.

Peguero has collected a 3.00 ERA and 43:24 K:BB across 48 frames out of the Milwaukee bullpen this season. He'll likely operate as a middle reliever for the Brewers.

The Brewers placed Wilson on the 15-day injured list Tuesday with a right oblique strain, Adam McCalvy of MLB.com reports.

Wilson evidently must have tweaked his oblique at some point during a 3.1-inning relief appearance in Sunday's extra-innings loss to the Reds. He will be eligible to return Sept. 17, but it's not yet clear whether he will have a chance to be ready by that date.

The Marlins recalled Maldonado from Triple-A Jacksonville on Tuesday.

Maldonado is back with the Marlins after spending the past two months with Jacksonville. The 26-year-old has made 11 appearances in the majors this season and has a 6.23 ERA, 1.54 WHIP and 8:5 K:BB across 13 innings.

The Brewers optioned Hudson to Triple-A Nashville on Tuesday, Adam McCalvy of MLB.com reports.

The move looks odd on the surface, as Hudson boasts a 1.73 ERA and 62:17 K:BB over 62.1 innings this season and had turned in four straight scoreless appearances. However, his velocity has been trending in the wrong direction and the Brewers want to see him get that ticked back up in a less pressurized environment.

The Brewers activated Milner (shoulder) from the 15-day injured list Tuesday, Adam McCalvy of MLB.com reports.

Milner recently made two scoreless rehab appearances to clear the way for his return to the Brewers' bullpen. He has been sidelined since mid-August due to a left shoulder impingement.

Hays is not in the lineup for Tuesday's contest in Toronto, Todd Zolecki of MLB.com reports.

Hays hasn't done much in nine games since returning from the injured list, posting a .612 OPS with one RBI. He'll begin this one on the bench while Brandon Marsh plays left field and Johan Rojas handles center.

Bohm (hand) remains out of the lineup for Tuesday's game in Toronto, Todd Zolecki of MLB.com reports.

Bohm missed the final three games of the weekend series versus Atlanta and still isn't ready to play in the series opener in Toronto even after a team off day Monday. Edmundo Sosa will receive another start at third base for the Phillies.

Edwards (back) was reinstated from the 10-day injured list and is starting at shortstop and batting leadoff Tuesday against the Nationals.

The 25-year-old suffered the back injury Aug. 23 against the Cubs and is rejoining the Marlins after a minimum-length stay on the IL. Edwards has a .349/.428/.436 slash line with one homer, 22 steals, 17 RBI and 25 runs in 47 games this season and should serve as Miami's starting shortstop and leadoff man for the stretch run.

Cavalli (elbow/arm) will throw a 20-to-25 pitch bullpen session Tuesday, Bobby Blanco of MASNSports.com reports.

The bullpen session -- which will feature all fastballs -- will be his first time throwing off a mound since he had to be pulled off his rehab assignment in mid-July due to a "dead arm" phase. Cavalli had made three rehab starts in the lower minors as he works his way back from May 2023 Tommy John surgery. It's going to take a while for him to get ramped back up, and it's not clear whether the 26-year-old will have a shot to make it back before the end of the season.

The Reds outrighted Buchanan to Triple-A Louisville on Tuesday.

After being acquired from the Phillies a week ago, Buchanan was added to the Reds' 40-man roster Saturday. He made his Reds debut later that day, tossing 3.1 innings out of the bullpen against the Brewers and giving up one run on two hits and two walks. He was designated for assignment a day later and will now stick around in the organization after clearing waivers.
