Hoerner is out of the lineup for Sunday's game against the Yankees.

Hoerner has gone 3-for-14 in his past four games and will receive a well-deserved day off Sunday after a run of 75 consecutive starts. Miles Mastrobuoni will take over at the keystone and bat ninth.

Megill is available out of the bullpen Sunday against the Reds, Will Sammon of The Athletic reports.

The right-hander allowed four runs with a 9:2 K:BB over 9.1 frames in the past two turns through the rotation for the Mets, but he'll shift to the bullpen with Paul Blackburn (hand) returning from the injured list Monday in Toronto. Megill could be called upon for a spot start or two down the stretch, but for now he'll operate in a long-relief role.

Triolo is out of the lineup for Sunday's game against the Nationals, Kevin Gorman of TribLive.com reports.

Triolo will take a seat after making 12 consecutive starts, and he had a .282/.391/.436 slash line with a homer, two steals, eight RBI and six runs during that span. Isiah Kiner-Falefa will shift to the hot corner while Alika Williams receives a start at shortstop.

Cruz is not in the lineup for Sunday's game against the Nationals, Kevin Gorman of TribLive.com reports.

Cruz will head to the bench after a run of 22 straight starts, during which he batted .313 with nine extra-base hits, nine steals, 10 RBI and nine runs. Michael Taylor is receiving a look in center field for the series finale versus Washington.

The Reds placed Moll on the 15-day injured list Sunday due to a left shoulder impingement.

The left-hander presumably suffered the injury during Saturday's appearance against the Mets, during which he surrendered three runs on a hit, a walk and a hit-by-pitch without recording an out. Moll will be eligible to return during the final week of the season, but he may have already thrown his final pitch of 2024.

The Reds recalled Legumina from Triple-A Louisville on Sunday.

The right-hander was sent to Triple-A in late August but will rejoin the big club Sunday as Sam Moll (shoulder) heads to the injured list. Legumina has allowed seven earned runs over three appearances in the majors this season but has a 2.93 ERA over 61.1 innings for Louisville.

The Pirates placed Davis on the 10-day injured list Sunday due to left hand inflammation, Noah Hiles of the Pittsburgh Post-Gazette reports.

It's unclear when exactly Davis suffered the injury, but he hasn't seen the field since going 0-for-3 with a strikeout Wednesday against the Cubs. Joey Bart and Yasmani Grandal will continue to split catching duties for the Pirates.

Johnson was recalled from Triple-A Lehigh Valley and will start Sunday against the Marlins.

Johnson will make his MLB debut Sunday in Miami, and a strong showing could give him a longer look as Philadelphia's No. 5 starter down the stretch. The 26-year-old was acquired from the Orioles ahead of the summer trade deadline and was dominant in three outings for Lehigh Valley with a 0.56 ERA, 0.69 WHIP and 13:6 K:BB across 16 innings.

The Phillies placed Sosa on the 10-day injured list Sunday due to back spasms.

The 28-year-old had seen an uptick in playing time after Alec Bohm (hand) landed on the IL, but Sosa is now dealing with his own injury. It's unclear how long he's expected to be sidelined, but Sosa will be eligible to be reinstated Sept. 17.

Realmuto (knee) is out of the lineup for Sunday's game against the Marlins.

The 33-year-old said Sunday his bruised left knee is feeling much better and that he could rejoin the lineup in a day or two, per Scott Lauber of The Philadelphia Inquirer, but he's sitting for the second straight day. Aramis Garcia will receive the start behind the plate, and Realmuto should continue to be considered day-to-day.
