Goldschmidt went 2-for-4 with a stolen base and two runs scored in Thursday's 3-2 loss to the Pirates.

Goldschmidt had a pair of singles and was knocked in by Brendan Donovan both times for the Cardinals' lone runs of the game. After going 0-for-9 over four games from Sept. 14-17, Goldschmidt has bounced back a bit. The first baseman is now batting .290 (18-for-62) in September and has a .246/.303/.412 slash line with 21 home runs, 60 RBI, 27 runs scored and 11 steals over 146 contests overall.

Romero (7-3) allowed a run on one hit and one walk over two-thirds of an inning, taking the loss Thursday versus the Pirates.

Romero put two runners on base in the eighth inning, and Ryan Fernandez allowed one of them to score after he entered the game. Over six innings in September, Romero has allowed two runs on six hits and three walks, a slight fade in performance from his level throughout the year. He's now at a 2.76 ERA, 1.09 WHIP and 51:15 K:BB through 58.2 innings while adding a save, eight blown saves and 30 holds.

Muncy went 2-for-3 with two walks, an RBI and four runs in Thursday's 20-4 rout of Miami.

Muncy reached five times in the contest on two singles, two walks and a hit-by-pitch. He came around to score in four of those instances, marking the most times he has crossed the plate in a single game this season. Muncy has reached base safely in 13 of his past 21 plate appearances and is batting .467 (7-for-15) with two doubles, a homer, seven runs, seven RBI and four walks over five games during that stretch.

Donvan went 4-for-4 with a double and two RBI in a loss to the Pirates on Thursday.

Donovan singlehandedly kept the Cardinals' offense from being impotent in the loss -- he notched four of St. Louis' six hits and drove in both of the team's runs. The utility man has reached base safely in 10 straight games, batting a sizzling .429 (15-for-35) with two homers, four runs and seven RBI over that span. Donovan has brought his season average up to .277 with the hot stretch as he seeks to reach the .280 mark for the third time in three big-league campaigns.

Gonzales went 2-for-4 with a triple, a run, an RBI and a stolen base in Thursday's 3-2 win against St. Louis.

Gonzales tripled and scored the contest's first run in the fourth inning, then plated the game-winning RBI on a single in the eighth. The second baseman notched his second straight multi-hit game, and he now has an extra-base hit in three straight contests. Through 17 games in September, Gonzales is batting .302 (19-for-63) with seven runs, seven RBI and two stolen bases.

Fedde allowed one run on four hits and one walk while striking out three batters over six innings in a no-decision against Pittsburgh on Thursday.

Fedde surrendered a fourth-inning run but otherwise kept the Pirates off the scoreboard. The right-hander finished with his first quality start since Aug. 25 and just his second over his past 10 outings. Fedde's numbers haven't been overwhelming, but his 3.38 season ERA is on pace to easily be the best of his seven-year career.

Chapman earned a save against the Cardinals on Thursday, allowing one hit in one scoreless inning.

Chapman entered in the bottom of the ninth inning with a one-run lead and gave up a leadoff single to Brendan Donovan. However, Donovan didn't advance any further, as Chapman retired the next three batters on just four pitches. Chapman has converted each of his past four save chances, though this was just the second time in that span that he hasn't allowed a run.

Conine went 1-for-3 with a two-run home run Thursday against the Dodgers.

Conine made his third-consecutive start, rewarding the Marlins with his second blast of the season. The rookie outfielder has five extra-base hits, six RBI and 10 runs scored across 57 at-bats since making his major-league debut Aug 26.

Ortiz allowed two runs on five hits and two walks while striking out seven batters over six innings in a no-decision against St. Louis on Thursday.

Ortiz held the Cardinals scoreless over the first three innings before St. Louis put up a run in the fourth and another in the sixth. The right-hander notched his sixth quality start of the campaign, which is more impressive when considering that only 14 of his 36 appearances have come as a starter. Ortiz also tied his season high with seven punchouts Thursday, a mark he's now achieved three times.

Pages went 2-for-5 with a double, a walk, three RBI and three runs Thursday against the Marlins.

Pages was overshadowed by the ridiculous exploits of Shohei Ohtani but quietly collected three RBI for the third time this season. It was the first time Pages produced multiple hits in a game since Aug 11 and the first time since late-April that he's posted three RBI in a game.
