Luis Rengifo 3B | SD
Brewers' Luis Rengifo: On bench again Sunday
Rengifo is out of the lineup for Sunday's game against the Astros.
It's the second straight game on the bench for Rengifo, who has gone 5-for-36 (.139) with no extra-base hits while committing four errors over his past 11 contests. Joey Ortiz is manning shortstop Sunday while David Hamilton shifts to third base in Rengifo's place.

Matt McLain 2B | CIN
Reds' Matt McLain: Checking out of starting nine
McLain is out of the lineup for Sunday's game against Atlanta.
After going 0-for-2 with a walk in Saturday's 5-2 loss, the struggling McLain will head back to the bench for the third time in four games. The Reds will go with Spencer Steer at the keystone over McLain, who appears to be fading into a part-time role.

William Contreras C | MIL
Brewers' William Contreras: Getting breather Sunday
Contreras is out of the lineup for Sunday's game against the Astros.
Contreras started the previous six games and will receive Sunday off after posting a .554 OPS with two doubles, four RBI and two runs during that stretch. Gary Sanchez will step in behind the plate and bat sixth in the series finale for Milwaukee.

Jared Triolo SS | PIT
Pirates' Jared Triolo: Taking over for injured Griffin
Triolo will start at shortstop and bat eighth in Sunday's game against the Twins.
Triolo covered shortstop the last three games, and he's in line for a longer run at the position with Konnor Griffin (forearm) moving to the injured list Sunday. Per Colin Beazley of the Pittsburgh Post-Gazette, Pirates general manager Ben Cherington said that he anticipated a short-term stint on the shelf for Griffin, so Triolo could end up shifting back into a utility infield role as soon as the second week of June. After a strong finish to 2025, he hasn't had much success in 2026, slashing just .231/.268/.256 with no home runs, two steals, four runs and four RBI across 83 plate appearances.

Jackson Chourio LF | MIL
Brewers' Jackson Chourio: Receiving Sunday off
Chourio is out of the lineup for Sunday's game against the Astros.
Chourio has started all 22 games since coming off the injured list to make his season debut May 4, so he gets a well-deserved breather after posting a .266/.317/.404 slash line with two homers and five steals in his first 101 plate appearances. Jake Bauers will shift to left field while Andrew Vaughn starts at first base.

Endy Rodriguez C | PIT
Pirates' Endy Rodriguez: Heading to bench Sunday
Rodriguez is out of the lineup for Sunday's game against the Twins.
Rodriguez will hit the bench Sunday after starting three of the past four games while going 1-for-7 with five walks, a stolen base and two runs. Though Henry Davis will handle catching duties in the series finale, Rodriguez may have inched ahead of him on the depth chart while Joey Bart (foot) is sidelined.

Jorge Mateo SS | ATL
Braves' Jorge Mateo: Settling into regular role
Mateo will start at designated hitter and bat seventh in Sunday's game against the Reds.
Mateo will stick in the lineup for a fifth straight game Sunday, this time handling a non-defensive role after his prior three starts came at shortstop. Atlanta could continue to move forward with Mateo as its primary option at shortstop over Ha-Seong Kim, who is in the lineup Sunday but may be ticketed for a part-time role after slashing just .095/.191/.095 over his 47 plate appearances since being activated from the injured list May 11. Mateo, meanwhile, has been much more productive when called upon this season, generating an .845 OPS while going 7-for-8 on stolen-base attempts in 81 plate appearances. With his playing time on the rise, Mateo could be worth a look for fantasy managers looking to make up ground in the steals category in particular.

Mike Yastrzemski LF | ATL
Braves' Mike Yastrzemski: Idle against southpaw
Yastrzemski is out of the lineup for Sunday's game against the Reds.
The left-handed hitter started the first two games of the series and went 3-for-6 with a double, two walks, two RBI and a run, but he'll hit the bench Sunday against lefty Nick Lodolo. Mauricio Dubon will spell Yastrzemski in left field and bat fifth.
-
Sandy Leon C | ATL
Braves' Sandy Leon: On bench Sunday
Leon is out of the lineup for Sunday's game against the Reds.
After starting Saturday's 5-2 win and going 0-for-2 with a strikeout, Leon will hit the bench for the series finale. The veteran backstop has settled into a timeshare with Chadwick Tromp, and as both are valued mainly for their defensive abilities, neither offers much fantasy value while Atlanta covers for the absence of Drake Baldwin (oblique).

Carlos Rodriguez RP | MIL
Brewers' Carlos Rodriguez: Returns to Triple-A
The Brewers optioned Rodriguez to Triple-A Nashville on Sunday.
The 24-year-old spent the past week in the majors but will return to Triple-A after making two appearances and giving up three runs on five hits and a 3:4 K:BB over 5.1 innings. Rodriguez could return to the rotation at Nashville, where he has an 8.03 ERA through eight appearances (five starts) this year.
