Pan had Tommy John surgery in November and will miss the entire 2025 season, Jonathan Mayo of MLB Pipeline reports.

A 22-year-old righty whom the Phillies signed out of Taiwan in January of 2023, Pan only managed 63.2 innings in 2023 and 29.1 innings in 2024. He has big-time stuff when healthy, so there's a chance he could end up a high-leverage reliever if it doesn't work for him in the rotation. Pan had a 2.15 ERA, 1.06 WHIP and 35 strikeouts in 29.1 innings last year, primarily at High-A.

Cabrera (finger) struck out four batters and allowed one earned run on three hits and no walks across three innings Tuesday in a rehab start with Triple-A Jacksonville.

Cabrera served up a solo home run in the second inning but was otherwise sharp over his three frames while spotting 27 of his 46 pitches for strikes. He'll likely get stretched out over one or two more rehab starts before returning from the 15-day injured list around mid-April.

The Padres selected Gonzalez's contract and optioned him to Triple-A El Paso on Thursday.

While attending camp with the Padres on a minor-league deal, Gonzalez wasn't able to break camp with the big club but impressed during his time in the Cactus League with a .995 OPS over 21 games. He's hitting just .167 through four games at El Paso to begin the season, but he busted out of his slump Wednesday by slugging a pair of solo home runs. Though Gonzalez won't be joining the Padres, his addition to the 40-man roster will allow San Diego to more easily promote him when the big club requires additional outfield depth as the season unfolds.

Farmer is not in the lineup for Thursday's game in Philadelphia.

Farmer has been the Rockies' primary second baseman while Thairo Estrada (wrist) is recuperating, but he'll begin Thursday's matinee on the bench. Tyler Freeman is at the keystone and batting ninth for Colorado.

Beck is out of the lineup for Thursday's game against the Phillies.

Beck will hit the bench for the second day in a row while the Rockies hand Mickey Moniak another start in left field after he went 1-for-2 at the dish in Wednesday's 5-1 loss. Through five games on the season, Beck has stolen two bags in as many attempts but has struggled at the plate, going 2-for-13 with five strikeouts against two walks. The Rockies could end up moving the right-handed-hitting Beck into the short side of a platoon with the lefty-hitting Moniak, though manager Bud Black hasn't clarified his plans for left field moving forward.

Bryant is not in the lineup for Thursday's contest in Philadelphia.

It's a routine day off for Bryant, who is in a 1-for-14 skid to start off the season. The Rockies are going with Hunter Goodman at designated hitter and Jacob Stallings at catcher in Thursday's series finale.

Freeman (wrist) will start at second base and bat ninth in Thursday's game versus the Phillies.

Freeman hasn't played since being hit on the left wrist by a pitch in Sunday's game versus the Rays, but he's feeling well enough to give it a go in Thursday's series finale. It's the second start this season for the former Guardian.

Thompson allowed two runs on two hits while striking out one over a third of an inning in Wednesday's 4-3 win over the Yankees.

Thompson entered to start the ninth inning and close out a 4-0 lead, but he ran into early trouble and was removed after giving up a couple of singles. Arizona manager Torey Lovullo brought in one of his closers, the left-handed A.J. Puk, to face the mostly left-handed batters due up. The one righty in that string of batters, Anthony Volpe, took Puk deep for a three-run home run. Thompson was a reliable arm in a setup role for the Diamondbacks in 2024, primarily serving as a seventh- and eighth-inning bridge.

Perdomo went 0-for-2 with an RBI sacrifice fly in Wednesday's 4-3 win over the Yankees.

Perdomo saw an end to a season-opening five-game hit streak but had a run-producing sacrifice fly in the second inning. The ninth-place hitter delivered a run for fifth time in six games and ranks second on the club with seven RBI. Perdomo's line is .350/.348/.400 along with the seven RBI, two runs and a steal over 24 plate appearances.

Conforto went 2-for-2 with a solo home run, two walks and three total runs in a 6-5 win against Atlanta on Wednesday.

Conforto's most memorable contribution to the victory was his solo shot to center field in the fourth inning, which was the first homer of his Dodgers tenure. However, the veteran outfielder was key in other ways as well -- he reached base in all four of his plate appearances and scored two additional times, including in the eighth inning to help spark the team's comeback. Conforto has fit in comfortably after joining Los Angeles during the offseason, as he's slashing .368/.500/.737 with a 5:6 BB:K and four RBI through 24 plate appearances on the campaign.
