McCarthy is not in the lineup for Thursday's tilt against the Yankees.

He started each of the first two games of the series but will yield to Alek Thomas in Thursday's series finale. McCarthy has now been in the lineup for four of the Diamondbacks' first seven games, matching the number of Thomas' starts.

Moreno is absent from the lineup for Thursday's contest against the Yankees.

Moreno was at catcher in Wednesday's night game, so he'll get some rest for Thursday's afternoon affair. Jose Herrera is starting behind the plate and batting ninth in Thursday's series finale.

Conine went 3-for-6 with a double and a run scored in Wednesday's extra-innings loss to the Mets.

The 27-year-old has has seen action in seven straight games (five starts) to begin the season with Jesus Sanchez (oblique) unavailable, and Conine has responded by batting .286 (6-for-21) with a solo home run and three additional runs scored. Conine and Kyle Stowers are likely battling for one starting corner outfield spot once Sanchez gets healthy, and as yet neither has a clear advantage -- while Conine has made more consistent contact, Stowers has drawn six walks and boasts a .462 OBP in his six appearances.

Marte is not in the lineup for Thursday's game versus the Yankees.

It's the first day off this season for Marte, who agreed to a contract extension with the Diamondbacks on Wednesday. Garrett Hampson will start at second base and bat eighth while Marte gets a breather.

Edwards went 4-for-6 with a run scored, an RBI and a stolen base in Wednesday's extra-inning loss to the Mets.

The shortstop rolled into the game having gone 4-for-22 (.182) through his first six starts of the season, but Edwards doubled both his hit and steal totals with Wednesday's performance. Base knocks figure to come in bunches for the 25-year-old after he slashed .328/.397/.423 over 303 plate appearances in a breakout 2024, but even as Miami's everyday leadoff hitter, his fantasy value remains capped due to his lack of power and lack of a reliable supporting cast.

Made is on Double-A Harrisburg's injured list due to an oblique injury, Sam Dykstra of MLB Pipeline reports.

He picked up the injury this spring and is expected back in the coming weeks. Made was just above league average (103 wRC+) at High-A last year despite hitting just one home run. He hit .158 with one home run and two steals in 21 games at Double-A.

Faucher coughed up three runs on three hits in an inning of relief during Wednesday's extra-innings loss to the Mets.

The right-hander got the call in the eighth inning with the Marlins protecting a 4-1 lead, but Faucher served up a three-run blast to Pete Alonso to get charged with his first blown save of 2025. The usage alone suggests he's fallen behind Anthony Bender in the pecking order for closing duties, but the bullpen picture for Miami remains cloudy, especially with Jesus Tinoco (back) on the shelf. Over his first three appearances and three innings, Faucher has a 2:3 K:BB to go along with a 9.00 ERA.

Stuart is on Triple-A Rochester's 7-day injured list due to an elbow injury, Sam Dykstra of MLB Pipeline reports.

The organization is hopeful it isn't a serious injury, but Stuart should still be considered out indefinitely. Acquired from the Mets in last year's Jesse Winker trade, Stuart is a 6-foot-9 righty whose extension makes up for low-90s fastball velocity. His best pitch is his sweeper, but none of his offerings are near plus. Stuart had success last year at Double-A, but he gave up 14 runs in 16.2 innings over four starts at Triple-A.

Johnson gave up a hit and a walk over two-thirds of a scoreless inning to record his first hold of the season in Wednesday's loss to the Dodgers. He struck out one.

Entering the game in the sixth inning to protect a 5-3 lead is a long way from the high-leverage usage Johnson was expected to see this season, but Atlanta was desperate to secure its first win of 2025. How the setup crew was deployed ended up being moot when closer Raisel Iglesias served up a walk-off homer to Shohei Ohtani. Johnson has been sharp in the early going, posting a 0.00 ERA and 4:1 K:BB through his first 2.2 innings, and once Atlanta gets off the shneid, holds should start to pile up for him.

Allen went 2-for-4 with a double, an RBI and a stolen base in Wednesday's loss to the Dodgers.

Atlanta's entire lineup has struggled out of the gates en route to an 0-7 start, and while Orlando Arcia's lack of offense has been far from the biggest problem, the veteran has gone 2-for-13 (.54) with zero extra-base hits and five strikeouts in four appearances to begin the year. That's opened the door for Allen to get a look, and the former Athletic has responded with three hits and two steals while making two straight starts at shortstop. Allen is better known for his glove than his bat, but the same could be said for Arcia, and the former is four years younger. It's unlikely Atlanta will give up on Arcia that quickly, but his disappointing .625 OPS in 2024 may have undermined his job security more than anyone expected.
