Mikolas (0-1) yielded nine runs (eight earned) on 11 hits and a walk over 2.2 innings while taking a loss in Game 2 of Sunday's doubleheader against Boston. He struck out one.

Mikolas coughed up a run in the first inning, and the Red Sox really picked it up from there. Boston plated five runs in the second and four in the third, and Mikolas was eventually chased after a whopping 81 pitches. His ERA shot up to 11.25 with a 4:3 K:BB through eight innings. Mikolas will continue looking for his first win in his next outing, which is projected to be at home against Philadelphia next weekend.

Donovan went 3-for-4 with two doubles, two RBI, a run scored and a walk in the second game of Sunday's doubleheader against Boston. He went 1-for-2 with a run scored in Game 1.

Donovan did not start the first game of the doubleheader but subbed in and collected a hit. He made a much bigger impact in Game 2, knocking RBI doubles in the first and ninth innings, though it wasn't enough to match Boston's 18-run outburst. Donovan has produced three multi-hit performances this season and is now slashing .333/.375/.556 with four extra-base hits and eight RBI through nine games.

The Cardinals are expected to call up Pozo from Triple-A Memphis on Monday, John Denton of MLB.com reports.

Pozo will join the major-league roster ahead of the team's three-game series in Pittsburgh. With Ivan Herrera (knee) set to be placed on the 10-day injured list, Pozo will operate as the Cardinals' backup catcher behind Pedro Pages. Pozo -- whose lone big-league action came in 2021 with the Rangers -- has produced five extra-base hits (two home runs, three doubles) over 21 plate appearances with Memphis this season.

Saggese combined to go 2-for-4 with a home run, two runs scored and four RBI in Sunday's doubleheader against the Red Sox.

In his first MLB appearance of 2025, Saggese went 1-for-3 with a run in Game 1 before being subbed out in favor of Brendan Donovan. Saggese didn't start Game 2 of the doubleheader but entered in the sixth frame. He knocked an RBI sacrifice fly in the seventh inning before belting a three-run shot in the ninth, but it wasn't enough to compete with Boston's 18 runs. Saggese will likely receive utility usage while Nolan Gorman (hamstring) is on the injured list.

Bellozo is expected to be promoted from Triple-A Jacksonville to start Monday's game versus the Mets, Daniel Alvarez-Montes of ElExtraBase.com reports.

Bellozo will return to the big-league roster after being sent down to Jacksonville last week. The right-hander made the team's Opening Day rotation and tossed 4.1 innings of one-run ball against the Pirates on March 29. Bellozo could be in line for another brief stay with the big club, as he'll be filling in Monday for Sandy Alcantara (personal), who will likely rejoin the rotation later on this week while he temporarily steps away from the team following the birth of his cild.

Pages combined to go 2-for-9 with two doubles and three RBI during Sunday's doubleheader against Boston.

Pages entered Game 1 of the doubleheader and went 2-for-4 with two doubles and three RBI after Ivan Herrera suffered a knee injury. Herrera will be heading to the injured list, though his timeline is currently unclear. Pages followed up his strong Game 1 performance by going 0-for-5 with two punchouts in Game 2. Still, he should move into a primary role until Herrera is ready to return. Pages is slashing .316/.316/.632 with four extra-base hits through seven appearances.

Helsley allowed two runs on a hit and four walks in one inning during Game 1 of Sunday's doubleheader against Boston. He struck out two and was charged with a blown save in the loss.

Helsley made his first appearance since April 1 and saw his first save chance since March 27. He threw just 16 of 37 pitches for strikes and failed to protect the 4-2 lead. St. Louis would go on to lose in the 10th inning. Helsley hadn't walked a batter this season through three innings, and Sunday was his first time walking multiple batters in an outing since June 24, 2024. His ERA jumped to 4.50, but he maintains a firm grasp on the Cardinals' closer role.

Diaz (hamstring) allowed one unearned run on one hit and one walk while striking out one over one inning for Triple-A Louisville on Sunday.

It was rehab day for Louisville, which featured starter Andrew Abbott (shoulder) making his second rehab start and Diaz's second rehab outing. The reliever has already healed from a left hamstring strain, per Mark Sheldon of MLB.com, but he might get another rehab appearance before the Reds activate him. Diaz is not guaranteed to resume his duties as Cincinnati's closer.

Abbott (shoulder) allowed two runs on four hits and three walks while striking out four over 4.1 innings for Triple-A Louisville on Sunday.

Abbott made his second rehab start and reached 92 pitches on the day. The left-hander will work a side bullpen session Tuesday, per Mark Sheldon of MLB.com, and the Reds will need to make a decision on whether to give him another rehab start or activate him. Abbott, who was placed on the 15-day injured list retroactive to March 24, is eligible to return April 9.

Hicks allowed three runs on six hits and a walk over 5.1 innings in a no-decision against Seattle on Sunday. He struck out five in the victory.

Hicks was not as sharp as he was in his 2025 debut. He kept the Mariners' bats in check for the most part but coughed up solo homers to Julio Rodriguez and Cal Raleigh in the first and third innings, respectively. Hicks generated 10 swinging strikes, including five with his sweeper. He's sporting a 2.38 ERA with an 11:3 K:BB through 11.1 frames. Hicks is lined up for a tough matchup in Yankee Stadium next weekend.
