Sanoja will start at third base and bat eighth in Sunday's game against the Nationals.

Sanoja will be in the lineup for the fourth time in five games, with each of those starts coming at a different position (third base, second base, shortstop and left field). The 22-year-old has produced a .606 OPS through 25 plate appearances and should remain a regular presence in the lineup versus left-handed pitching while also occasionally drawing starts against righties thanks to his ability to play all over the diamond.

McCutchen is out of the lineup for Sunday's game against the Reds.

McCutchen will hit the bench for the third time in seven games as he fills a part-time role in the corner outfield in the short term while Bryan Reynolds tends to a sore triceps that's been limiting him to designated-hitter duties. Alexander Canario will get a look in right field Sunday while McCutchen takes a seat.

Suwinski is not in the Pirates' starting lineup against the Reds on Sunday.

Suwinski will sit for a second straight game after going 0-for-3 with one run scored, one walk and one strikeout Friday. Adam Frazier, Oneil Cruz and Alexander Canario will man the outfield for the Pirates.

Hayes is not in the Pirates' starting lineup against the Reds on Sunday.

Hayes will sit after going 0-for-6 with two walks and three strikeouts across his last two outings. Isiah Kiner-Falefa will shift over to third base while Tsung-Che Cheng gets the start at shortstop.

Cruz (finger) is starting in center field and batting fourth against the Reds on Sunday.

He'd missed the Pirates' last three games after he was hit by a pitch on his finger Tuesday. Cruz has begun the year slashing .211/.360/.395 with seven stolen bases, two home runs and five RBI across 50 plate appearances.

Bart (back) is not in the Pirates' starting lineup against the Reds on Sunday.

Bart continues to work through lower-back discomfort and will miss a second straight game as a result. Henry Davis will once again start behind home plate and bat ninth against Reds right-hander Hunter Greene.

Pham is not in the Pirates' starting lineup against the Reds on Sunday.

Pham will begin Sunday's series finale in the dugout while the Pirates start Adam Frazier, Oneil Cruz and Alexander Canario in the outfield. Pham has gone 4-for-21 with two runs scored, three walks and four RBI across his last six outings.

The Nationals placed Ribalta on the 15-day injured list Sunday due to a right biceps strain, Andrew Golden of The Washington Post reports.

Ribalta made his last appearance Tuesday against the Dodgers, during which he allowed one run on three hits and one walk while striking out three in three innings (58 pitches). According to Bobby Blanco of MASNSports.com, Ribalta felt tightness in his arm coming out of the appearance and was diagnosed with a bicep strain. Ribalta underwent an MRI earlier Sunday, but the severity of his injury won't be known until the results of his tests are in. With Ribalta sidelined, the Nationals replenished their bullpen by recalling Cole Henry from Triple-A Rochester in a corresponding move.

The Nationals recalled Henry from Triple-A Rochester on Sunday.

Washington placed reliever Orlando Ribalta (biceps) on the 15-day injured list. Henry will be available out of Washington's bullpen and could make his major-league debut as soon as Sunday's game against Miami. A 2020 second-round draft pick, Henry had spent most of his minor-league career as a starter before shifting to the bullpen this season and tossing a pair of scoreless innings for Rochester prior to his call-up.

Estrada walked one and struck out one batter in a scoreless inning Saturday against Colorado to earn a hold.

Estrada handled the seventh inning after starter Kyle Hart gave San Diego six scoreless frames. The righty reliever walked the first batter he faced but subsequently induced a double-play grounder before ending the frame with a strikeout. Estrada has had an excellent start to the campaign, allowing just one run through 8.1 innings while posting a 10:3 K:BB.
