Dodgers manager Dave Roberts said Saturday that Ohtani (paternity) is expected to be back in the lineup for Sunday's series finale against the Rangers, Fabian Ardaya of The Athletic reports.

Ohtani missed the first two games of the series to welcome the birth of his daughter, but he'll be back with the Dodgers for Sunday's finale. Eddie Rosario has served as the designated hitter for the Dodgers for the past two games, but he'll likely be dumped from the big-league roster once Ohtani is activated.

Turner went 4-for-5 with a double, two runs scored, two RBI and a stolen base in Saturday's 11-10 win over the Marlins.

The Phillies didn't hit a home run on the afternoon among their 18 knocks, but six different players recorded multiple hits, which was led by Turner's four. The shortstop has had a sluggish start to the season at the plate, but he's more than capable of turning things around quickly. Through 19 games, he's now slashing .257/.337/.351 with one homer, five steals, six RBI and 12 runs.

Alvarado recorded the final out of Saturday's 11-10 win over the Marlins to pick up his fifth save of the season.

The Phillies took an 11-4 lead into the ninth inning, but Jordan Romano served up two homers en route to giving up six runs in two-thirds of an inning, forcing Alvarado into the game to clean up the mess. The southpaw needed just two pitches to get Xavier Edwards to line out to right field. Alvarado has been dominant to begin the season, going 5-for-5 in converting save chances while posting a 2.79 ERA, 1.34 WHIP and 14:2 K:BB through 9.2 innings. While the Phillies have plenty of high-leverage options in the bullpen, Alvarado appears to have a lock on the closer job for the moment.

Walker came away with a no-decision in Saturday's 11-10 win over the Marlins, allowing one run on one hit and three walks over four innings. He struck out two.

The Phillies gave the veteran right-hander more than enough run support, building a 7-1 lead by the end of the fourth inning, but Walker still got the hook after just 56 pitches (30 strikes) before he could qualify for the win. Per Bailey Digh of Phillies Nation, manager Rob Thomson indicated after the game that Walker's shoulder had stiffened up a bit between innings, prompting his removal as a precaution. Assuming he's good to go for his next turn in the rotation, Walker will take a 2.29 ERA, 1.17 WHIP and 16:8 K:BB through 19.2 innings into a road clash with the Cubs next weekend.

The Padres recalled Ornelas from Triple-A El Paso on Saturday.

Ornelas wasn't able to crack the Padres' Opening Day roster despite a strong performance in spring training, but he'll make his way to the big club after Jason Heyward (knee) was placed on the 10-day injured list. Ornelas started the Triple-A season slashing .281/.418/.359 with 13 walks, three stolen bases, 17 runs scored, one home run and seven RBI across 79 plate appearances. With Heyward sidelined, the lefty-hitting Ornelas could see some starts in the outfield in a platoon with Oscar Gonzalez.

The Padres placed Heyward on the 10-day injured list Saturday, retroactive to April 17, due to left knee inflammation.

Heyward was removed before Friday's game against the Astros due to a left knee issue. Further tests have revealed inflammation in the left knee area, which prompted Heyward's placement on the injured list. The veteran outfielder is eligible to be activated off the IL on April 27, but a clearer timeline will be established once he undergoes treatment. Tirso Ornelas was recalled from Triple-A El Paso in a corresponding move, and Oscar Gonzalez could see some starts in the outfield while Heyward is sidelined.

Hicks went 4-for-5 with a home run and four RBI in Saturday's 11-10 loss to the Phillies.

The rookie catcher nearly fueled an improbable comeback from a 9-1 deficit by the Marlins, driving in two runs with a sixth-inning single before taking Jordan Romano deep in the ninth for a two-run shot. It was the first homer of Hicks' big-league career, and through his first 16 games with Miami he's slashing .250/.333/.364 with five runs and 11 RBI.

Myers went 2-for-3 with a three-run home run and a second run scored in Saturday's 11-10 loss to the Phillies.

The 29-year-old outfielder began the game on the bench, but after the Marlins fell behind 9-1 after five innings, manager Clayton McCullough brought Myers in for Kyle Stowers, and Myers took advantage by launching a first-pitch slider from Jordan Romano down the left-field line in the ninth. It was his first long ball of the season, and Myers is batting .324 (12-for-37) through 14 games with a steal, four runs and five RBI. Griffin Conine also left Saturday's contest with a shoulder injury, and if the issue is serious, it should open up more playing time for Myers.

Quantrill (1-2) took the loss Saturday, surrendering seven runs on eight hits and three walks over 3.1 innings as the Marlins were downed 11-10 by the Phillies. He failed to strike out a batter.

The right-hander did manage to keep the ball in the yard, marking his third straight start without allowing a homer, but that provided only the faintest of silver linings to a brutal outing. Quantrill got the hook after 89 pitches (56 strikes), and he'll carry an 8.31 ERA, 2.08 WHIP and 8:9 K:BB through 17.1 innings into his next start, which lines up to come on the road next weekend in Seattle.

Vientos was removed in the fifth inning of Saturday's game against the Cardinals due to groin discomfort, Will Sammon of The Athletic reports.

Vientos went 0-for-2 before being replaced by Brett Baty in the fifth frame. The severity of Vientos' injury isn't clear, but he'll undergo more testing and an update should be made by the team during or shortly after the conclusion of Saturday's contest.
