Vientos (groin) remains out of the lineup for Monday's game against the Phillies, Tim Healey of Newsday reports.

Vientos was forced to leave Saturday's game against the Cardinals and will miss a second straight start, though he did take ground balls Monday and is scheduled to hit later in the afternoon, Anthony DiComo of MLB.com reports. With Vientos still idle, Brett Baty will make the start at third base and bat eighth against Aaron Nola.

The Brewers are expected to promote Yoho from Triple-A Nashville, Jon Heyman of the New York Post reports.

Milwaukee will need to add Yoho to the 40-man roster in order to make the move. Yoho was an eighth-round pick in the 2023 Draft and has been lights out at Triple-A to begin the season. He's pitched in eight games, tossing 9.2 scoreless innings with one save. The Brewers need the bullpen help, as they are currently 26th in ERA.

Matos went 0-for-5 in Sunday's 5-4 loss to the Angels.

Matos received the starting nod in right field against southpaw Yusei Kikuchi but failed to record a hit for the fifth straight game. The 23-year-old outfielder continues to platoon with Mike Yastrzemski, drawing starts against left-handed pitchers. However, Matos has gone 0-for-16 in his last five appearances. He's slashing .167/.194/.300 with a home run, two additional runs scored and a 1:2 BB:K across 31 plate appearances this season.

Villar went 1-for-4 with a run scored during Sunday's 5-4 loss to the Angels.

The 28-year-old infielder made his first appearance of the season, joining the 26-man roster after Casey Schmitt (oblique) was placed on the 10-day injured list. Villar lined a two-out single into left field in the sixth frame before coming around to score on a two-run homer by Sam Huff. Villar played in 15 games at Triple-A Sacramento before joining the active roster, slashing .368/.439/.439 with eight runs scored, seven RBI, a home run and an 8:13 BB:K across 66 plate appearances.

Stowers is not in the lineup for Monday's game against the Reds.

With left-hander Nick Lodolo on the mound for the Reds, lefty-swinging Stowers will take a seat Monday. The Marlins will go with Javier Sanoja, Dane Myers and Jesus Sanchez from left to right in the outfield, and Ronny Simon will serve as the designated hitter.

Candelario is not in the lineup for Monday's game against the Marlins.

Candelario isn't starting for the second straight day, as the Reds are running it back with Spencer Steer at first base and Noelvi Marte at third against Max Meyer after Cincinnati hung 24 runs on the Orioles in Sunday's win. Candelario is slashing just .125/.263/.375 over the last seven days.

The Marlins placed Brantly (lat) on the 10-day injured list Monday.

Brantly has been diagnosed with a strained right lat. The Marlins have promoted top catching prospect Agustin Ramirez to take Brantly's place on the roster.

The Marlins optioned Gibson to Triple-A Jacksonville on Monday.

Gibson made his MLB debut Sunday against the Phillies and pitched 2.1 innings out of the bullpen, allowing just one hit while striking out two and walking none in Miami's 7-5 win. Gibson should find his way back to the Marlins' big club at some point again this season.

The Marlins recalled Ramirez from Triple-A Jacksonville on Monday.

One of Miami's top prospects, Ramirez was acquired from the Yankees in the Jazz Chisholm trade last summer. The 23-year-old is now set to make his MLB debut after slashing .254/.313/.479 with three home runs, 12 RBI, 13 runs scored and five stolen bases across 80 plate appearances at the Triple-A level. In a corresponding move, the Marlins placed Rob Brantly (lat) on the 10-day injured list.

The Marlins recalled Soriano from Triple-A Jacksonville on Monday.

Soriano is back in the majors after spending 48 hours at the Triple-A level. He's pitched in seven games out of the bullpen for Miami this season, posting a 6.94 ERA and 10:5 K:BB across 11.2 innings.
