Roupp (7-10) took the loss Sunday, allowing five runs on six hits and four walks over 4.2 innings against the Padres. He struck out six.

Roupp was done in by a four-run second inning, surrendering a two-run homer to Jackson Merrill while walking three batters during the frame. The right-hander has taken a step back over his past two starts, allowing four runs and taking the loss in both outings. Sporting a 4.34 ERA, 1.29 WHIP and 120:52 K:BB across 118.1 innings (22 starts), Roupp will look to get back on track next weekend against the Tigers.

The Dodgers re-signed Barnes to a minor-league contract Sunday.

Barnes elected free agency Saturday after clearing waivers, but he quickly returned to the Dodgers organization. The 30-year-old southpaw reported to Triple-A Oklahoma City, where he pitched in relief Sunday and was credited with a hold in a 3-0 win over Las Vegas, retiring two of the five batters he faced.

Morejon picked up the save in Sunday's 5-4 victory over the Giants. He struck out three over 1.1 scoreless innings, allowing no hits or walks while hitting a batter.

With Mason Miller unavailable, Morejon stepped into the closer role and recorded his second save of the season, tallying four outs to finish off the Giants. The 27-year-old hasn't allowed an earned run over his past seven outings spanning eight innings, allowing four hits while posting an 11:2 K:BB during that stretch. Through 60 innings (52 appearances) in 2026, Morejon owns an 8-2 record with a 3.00 ERA, 1.07 WHIP, 70:15 K:BB and 17 holds as the Padres' top left-handed reliever.

Kelly (8-9) took the loss Sunday against the Guardians, allowing five runs on eight hits and four walks while striking out five over five innings.

Kelly surrendered a leadoff solo homer to Patrick Bailey in the third inning as part of a two-run frame. The right-hander ran into more trouble in the fifth, when five consecutive Cleveland batters reached safely, resulting in three more runs. Arizona's offense offered no support, as the Diamondbacks were shut out in the defeat. The four walks matched Kelly's highest total since April 28. He'll carry a 5.04 ERA, 1.49 WHIP and 76:46 K:BB over 114.1 innings into his next scheduled start Friday against the Dodgers.

Canning (3-9) earned the win Sunday against San Francisco. He allowed one run on two hits and no walks without recording a strikeout over two innings of relief.

The right-hander was the third pitcher used by San Diego, and despite covering just two innings while surrendering a solo homer to Osleivis Basabe (forearm), Canning was credited with the win. He has struggled mightily this season in both starting and relief roles, posting a 6.58 ERA, 1.55 WHIP and 67:32 K:BB across 67 innings (17 appearances). The 30-year-old's spot on the roster could come into jeopardy if the Padres make any moves to bolster their pitching staff before Monday's trade deadline.

San Francisco acquired Molina from Atlanta on Sunday in exchange for right-hander Tyler Mahle, Ken Rosenthal of The Athletic reports.

Molina has appeared in three games out of the Atlanta bullpen this season, surrendering three runs on six hits and one walk while striking out two batters over five innings. The right-hander worked as a starter in nine of his 18 appearances at Triple-A Gwinnett, but he had been serving as a reliever following his demotion to the minors July 4 and submitted a 1.04 ERA, 0.81 WHIP and 9:2 K:BB in 8.2 innings over his last five appearances. Molina will likely report to Triple-A Sacramento with his new organization but should find his way into the San Francisco bullpen at some point before the end of the season.

Hart did not factor into the decision Sunday, allowing a hit and no walks over three scoreless innings against the Giants. He struck out two.

Tabbed as Sunday's opener after Michael King's start was pushed to Monday, Hart completed a season-high three scoreless innings. The lanky left-hander hasn't allowed a run over his past five outings spanning 9.2 innings, surrendering just five hits while posting a 10:2 K:BB during that stretch. Overall, Hart owns a 4.53 ERA, 1.05 WHIP and 38:13 K:BB across 43.2 innings (29 appearances).

Atlanta acquired Mahle from San Francisco on Sunday in exchange for right-hander Anthony Molina, Ken Rosenthal of The Athletic reports.

Mahle will head to Atlanta after turning in a 5.13 ERA and 1.39 WHIP with 89 strikeouts over 94.2 innings in 18 starts with the Giants this season. The right-hander has struggled with his consistency on the mound, posting six starts during which he allowed one or zero runs while also surrendering five or more runs on six occasions. Mahle will likely immediately slot in to Atlanta's starting rotation after Reynaldo Lopez (knee) was placed on the 15-day injured list Sunday.

The Cubs acquired Gausman from the Blue Jays on Sunday in exchange for infielder Ty Southisene and outfielder Brett Bateman, Mark Feinsand of MLB.com reports.

Gausman, who is set to become a free agent this winter, will provide an injury-battered Cubs pitching staff with a top-of-rotation arm down the stretch. The right-hander has taken a step back statistically in 2026, but he was still more than serviceable for Toronto with a 4.38 ERA, 1.29 WHIP and 127 punchouts over 127.1 innings. Gausman had collected just five wins over his 23 starts, but he should see some improvement in that category with the move from a last-place team in the AL East to a Cubs squad that currently sits 14 games over .500.

Morgan (knee) made a rehab appearance Sunday at Triple-A El Paso, allowing one hit and no walks over an inning of relief.

Morgan kicked off a rehab assignment in the rookie-level Arizona Complex League over the All-Star break, but he made just one appearance before being shut down due to soreness in his right trapezius muscle. The right-hander was able to move past the setback quickly and will likely need just a couple more appearances in the minors before he's deemed ready to rejoin the San Diego bullpen. Morgan submitted a 4.50 ERA and 1.77 WHIP over 18 appearances for the Padres before landing on the shelf June 29 due to left knee inflammation.
