Atlanta acquired Davitt from the White Sox on Monday in exchange for catcher Joey Bart, Mark Feinsand of MLB.com reports.

After making his second appearance of the season with the White Sox over the weekend, Davitt was designated for assignment earlier Monday when the team needed to open up a spot on the 40-man roster. The 26-year-old righty will reclaim a 40-man spot in Atlanta and is likely to begin his time in the organization at Triple-A Gwinnett. Davitt has spent most of the 2026 campaign with Chicago's Triple-A affiliate in Charlotte, turning in a 6.22 ERA, 1.49 WHIP and 64:25 K:BB across 59.1 innings.

Lalane and Kaeden Kent were traded from the Yankees to the Giants on Monday in exchange for Heliot Ramos, Mark Feinsand of MLB.com reports.

Lalane is a 6-foot-7 southpaw who generated massive buzz in the Florida Complex League in 2023 and then had a post-hype breakout this year at Single-A and High-A after injury-plagued campaigns in 2024 and 2025. The 22-year-old hurler has a 2.77 ERA, 1.00 WHIP and 98:26 K:BB in 78 innings and has a mid-90s fastball with multiple solid secondary offerings.

The Mets acquired Rojas from the Cubs on Monday in exchange for right-hander Clay Holmes (fibula) and outfielder Tyrone Taylor, Chelsea Janes of SNY.tv reports.

Considering Holmes is headed for free agency this winter and Taylor projects as a reserve outfielder, coughing up Rojas -- arguably the top prospect in the organization, albeit in a weak farm system -- is a hefty price for the Cubs to pay. The 21-year-old shortstop has shown a solid all-around skill set at Double-A Knoxville this season, chipping in 15 home runs and 17 stolen bases while maintaining a .270 average and 16.4 percent clip over 390 plate appearances.

The Cubs acquired Holmes (fibula) and outfielder Tyrone Taylor from the Mets on Monday in exchange for infielder Jefferson Rojas, Chelsea Janes of SNY.tv reports.

Holmes didn't end up making it back from the injured list before the trade deadline, but the veteran right-hander showed well enough during the third start of his rehab assignment Sunday at High-A Brooklyn to have plenty of suitors vying for his services. The right-hander will ultimately land with the Cubs, who already bolstered their rotation over the weekend with the acquisition of Kevin Gausman. After covering 5.1 innings and 73 pitches Sunday, Holmes would appear to be stretched out enough to handle a starting role right away with the Cubs, though it's unclear if he'll be in store for a long-term spot in the rotation. Edward Cabrera (hamstring) began a rehab assignment Friday and could eventually emerge as a starting candidate once he returns from the IL, and the Cubs have received quality results of late from back-end rotation members Colin Rea and David Peterson. Holmes may plenty of experience working as a high-leverage reliever, so he might be ticketed for the bullpen once the Cubs pare down their rotation late in the season.

The Cubs acquired Taylor and right-hander Clay Holmes (fibula) from the Mets on Monday in exchange for infielder Jefferson Rojas, Jon Heyman of the New York Post reports.

Taylor -- who will reach free agency after the season -- will likely see most of his playing time for Cubs against left-handed pitching. The right-handed-hitting outfielder boasts a .900 OPS versus southpaws this season.

Lara is out of the lineup for Monday's game versus the Pirates.

Lara has been in a quasi-platoon with Andrew Vaughn lately, getting starts in right field on days that Jake Bauers is at first base. For Monday's series opener, Vaughn will cover first base, while Bauers mans right field.

Pratt is out of the lineup for Monday's game versus the Pirates.

Pratt appears to be receiving a routine day off after starting in each of the previous eight contests. The Brewers will go with Joey Ortiz at shortstop in Monday's series opener.

Harrison (elbow/forearm) is ready to go for Wednesday's start against the Pirates, Adam McCalvy of MLB.com reports.

Harrison bounced back from his last rehab start without any discomfort in his arm, so he'll start Wednesday's game with an extra day of rest. The lefty tossed 5.2 scoreless frames while striking out five and walking three July 30 at High-A.

The Brewers traded Ragsdale and Alexander Frias to the Cardinals on Monday in exchange for Dustin May and JoJo Romero, Katie Woo of The Athletic reports.

Ragsdale has been one of the breakout prospects of the year, particularly since mid-June. In 36 games since June 17, Ragsdale is slashing .333/.459/.783 with 17 home runs, nine doubles, nine steals, an 18.2 percent walk rate and a 24.7 percent strikeout rate. A seventh-round pick in 2025 out of Boston College, Ragsdale not only controls the strike zone, but 76.7 percent of his balls in play at Double-A were either line drives or flyballs. On the season, he has 19 home runs and 31 steals (on 34 attempts) in 86 games across High-A and Double-A.

The Brewers traded Frias and Josiah Ragsdale to the Cardinals on Monday in exchange for Dustin May and JoJo Romero, Katie Woo of The Athletic reports.

Frias is the latest Brewers international signee to break out in a big way, as he has already registered elite exit velocities as an 18-year-old with a projectable 6-foot-2, 177-pound frame. The lefty-hitting Frias won't turn 19 until March and slashed .342/.427/.553 with eight home runs, 19 steals and a 17.6 percent strikeout rate in 60 games across the Arizona Complex League and Single-A. It's worth noting that he was significantly more productive in complex ball (189 wRC+) than after his promotion to the Carolina League (93 wRC+), but his upside is undeniable. His 20 percent strikeout rate at Single-A hasn't been a problem, but his 57.3 percent groundball rate is a poor mark.
