Senga (6-3) earned the win Saturday, allowing two runs on two hits and two walks over 6.1 innings against the Rockies. He struck out seven.

​The right-hander worked around an Ezequiel Tovar solo homer in the first inning to deliver a quality start Saturday. After shoulder and calf injuries derailed his 2024 campaign, Senga has returned with elite production in 2025. Through 11 starts, the 32-year-old has posted a 1.60 ERA and 1.18 WHIP over 62 innings. It's still early, but Senga should already be considered a serious contender for the National League Cy Young Award.

Contreras went 1-for-3 with an RBI double, one walk and one run scored in Saturday's victory over the Rangers.

He contributed to both runs in Saturday's victory, scoring on a Nolan Arenado sacrifice fly in the second inning and later driving in Masyn Winn with a ground-rule double in the fourth. Contreras has been slumping at the plate, slashing .224/.270/.345 over his past 15 games. The 33-year-old's power has noticeably declined in 2025, with his current .379 slugging percentage well below his career mark of .456. Despite a solid overall start to the season, the Cardinals would certainly benefit from Contreras rediscovering his power stroke.

Helsley picked up the save Saturday against the Rangers. He allowed no hits or walks while striking out two over a perfect inning.

Helsley was rock solid Saturday, tossing a clean ninth inning to seal a victory for the Cardinals. The hard-throwing right-hander has converted nine consecutive save opportunities, delivering a scoreless frame in eight of them. On the year, the 30-year-old has a 3.00 ERA and 1.43 WHIP across 21 innings.

Gray (6-1) earned the win Saturday, allowing four hits and one walk over seven scoreless innings against the Rangers. He struck out 10.

Gray was in the zone Saturday, matching season highs in innings and strikeouts. The 35-year-old surrendered seven runs over 3.2 innings against the Phillies on May 14 but has since rebounded with three quality starts, posting a 1.42 ERA and 0.95 WHIP across 19 innings. On the season, the right-hander is sporting a 3.65 ERA and 1.12 WHIP through 69 innings.

Barco (shoulder) was activated from the 7-day injured list by Triple-A Indianapolis on Saturday, Noah Hiles of the Pittsburgh Post-Gazette reports.

Barco was diagnosed with a mild muscle strain in his left shoulder last week but missed just 10 days of action. The 24-year-old left-hander has made eight starts at Triple-A this season and has turned in a microscopic 0.89 ERA and 11.9 K/9 across 30.1 innings of work. Barco is viewed as one of the organization's top pitching prospects.

Bohm went 2-for-4 with a solo home run and an additional run scored in Saturday's 17-7 loss to the Brewers.

In an otherwise forgettable day for the Phillies, Bohm put them on the board with a solo homer in the fourth inning. It was a fitting end to a fantastic May, during which he slashed .324/.364/.510 with nine extra-base hits, 13 RBI and 14 runs scored. For the year, the 28-year-old owns a .270/.306/.386 line with five home runs, 21 RBI, 25 runs scored and a stolen base across 229 plate appearances.

Contreras went 3-for-4 with a double, a walk, one RBI and two runs scored in Saturday's 17-7 win over the Phillies.

Contreras reached safely in his first four plate appearances before flying out in the sixth inning. The catcher closed out May with back-to-back three-hit performances, a strong finish after entering the weekend mired in a 1-for-19 slump. On the season, he's slashing .253/.366/.364 with five homers, 26 RBI, 33 runs scored and five stolen bases across 235 plate appearances.

Hoskins went 2-for-6 with two home runs and six RBI in Saturday's 17-7 win over the Phillies.

Hoskins tied a career high with six RBI on two homers in the first and fourth innings. The outburst was a welcome sight, as the first baseman had gone just 1-for-18 over his previous five games. On the year, he owns a strong .276/.374/.475 slash with nine long balls, 35 RBI, 20 runs scored and two steals across 214 plate appearances.

Patrick (3-4) earned the win against the Phillies on Saturday, allowing two runs on five hits and no walks with six strikeouts over six innings.

The Brewers' offense exploded and Patrick capitalized, generating 10 whiffs on 94 pitches en route to his first win since May 6. While the 26-year-old has completed six frames just four times, he has now yielded three earned runs or fewer in all 12 of his starts this season. He'll take an impressive 2.97 ERA, 1.21 WHIP and 57:18 K:BB across 63.2 innings into a home matchup with the Padres next weekend.

Luzardo (5-1) took the loss against the Brewers on Saturday, allowing 12 runs on 12 hits and three walks with four strikeouts over 3.1 innings.

Luzardo was tagged for four runs in the first inning and was unable to escape the fourth, yielding eight more runs while recording just one out. He surrendered career highs in both hits and earned runs after allowing no more than three earned runs in any of his previous 11 starts this year. The disastrous outing inflated the southpaw's ERA from 2.15 to 3.58, and he now owns a 1.34 WHIP with an 81:22 K:BB across 70.1 innings. He'll try to get back on track in a favorable road matchup with the Pirates next weekend.
