The Diamondbacks optioned McGough to Triple-A Reno on Sunday.

McGough will give up his spot in the bullpen to righty Cristian Mena, who was recalled from Reno in a corresponding move. During his two-week run with Arizona, McGough made six appearances and gave up five earned runs on five hits and five walks over five innings.

The Diamondbacks recalled Mena from Triple-A Reno on Sunday.

The right-hander was demoted after firing 3.2 scoreless relief innings May 9 in his 2025 MLB debut, and he'll rejoin Arizona ahead of Sunday's series finale versus Washington. Mena is one of Arizona's top prospects and has a 4.84 ERA, 1.40 WHIP and 52:16 K:BB over 44.2 innings while working as a starter at Reno, but he's pegged for a relief role while up in the majors.

Call is out of the lineup for Sunday's game against the Diamondbacks.

When Dylan Crews (oblique) and Jacob Young (shoulder) were placed on the injured list May 21 and 23, respectively, Call appeared to be in good position to move into an everyday role. Instead, Call has continued to serve as the Nationals' fourth outfielder, with prospects Robert Hassell and Daylen Lile getting regular playing time after being called up to replace the injured outfielders. Call will remain on the bench for the sixth time in as many games while the Nationals face off against another right-hander (Corbin Burnes), but he should spell either Hassell or Lile when Washington goes up against lefties.

Moreno is not in the lineup for Sunday's game against the Nationals.

Moreno went 2-for-7 with a double, an RBI and a run while starting the first two games of the series and will sit for Sunday's finale. Jose Herrera will take over behind the plate to catch for ace Corbin Burnes.

Yelich was removed from Sunday's game against the Phillies due to a right hand contusion.

Yelich was hit by a pitch during his first plate appearance and was replaced by a pinch hitter for his second time up Sunday. The veteran slugger is likely to undergo imaging to determine the severity of the injury.

Davis is out of the lineup for Sunday's game against the Padres.

Davis will give way behind the plate to Endy Rodriguez, who will pick up his first start since being activated from the 10-day injured list Wednesday. Davis started the prior three games and looks like he could serve as the team's top option behind the plate while Joey Bart (concussion) is on the 7-day injured list. Davis wrapped up May with a .237/.341/.342 slash line and a 22.2 percent strikeout rate over 46 plate appearances on the month.

Canario is out of the lineup for Sunday's game against the Padres.

He'll hit the bench for the second time in the series while the Pirates hand Tommy Pham another start in left field. Canario still looks to be the Pirates' preferred option at the position, as he holds a 124-point edge in OPS over Pham on the season.

Carroll is out of the lineup for Sunday's game against the Nationals.

Carroll is in the midst of a 3-for-31 slump and will head to the bench for just the third time all season. Randal Grichuk is starting in right field and batting sixth versus Washington lefty Mitchell Parker.

Kelly is not in the lineup for Sunday's game against the Reds.

It's likely just a rest day for Kelly, who went 0-for-10 with a walk while starting the previous three games. Reese McGuire will step in behind the plate to catch for veteran righty Jameson Taillon on Sunday.

Sanoja will start in center field and bat ninth in Sunday's game against the Giants.

Sanoja will draw his fifth straight start and his second in a row in center field, but he's still likely to notice a downturn in playing time in the near future following Xavier Edwards' return from the injured list Saturday. With Edwards and Otto Lopez entrenched as the Marlins' top options in the middle infield, Sanoja could be limited to starts in the outfield against left-handed pitching in place of either Jesus Sanchez or Kyle Stowers.
