Edman went 1-for-3 with a solo home run in Sunday's 7-3 loss to the Yankees.

Edman found a groove against the Yankees' pitching during this weekend series, going 6-for-12 with a homer, three RBI and three doubles over three games. The 30-year-old hadn't hit a long ball since April 22 versus the Cubs, which was before his stint on the injured list due to an ankle issue. Edman is now at a .247/.287/.487 slash line with nine homers, 29 RBI, 26 runs scored and two stolen bases over 42 contests this season.

Yamamoto (6-4) allowed four runs on seven hits and three walks while striking out two over 3.2 innings to take the loss Sunday versus the Yankees.

Yamamoto failed to complete five innings for the first time this season. He was inefficient, throwing 96 pitches (59 strikes). Yamamoto has looked like one of the best pitchers in the majors this season, but he came up short in a measuring stick matchup against one of the best offenses in baseball. He still has a 2.39 ERA, 1.00 WHIP and 77:23 K:BB across 67.2 innings through 12 starts. Yamamoto's next start is projected to be on the road versus the Cardinals.

Triple-A Sacramento placed Winn on its 7-day injured list April 22 due to an unspecified injury.

Winn didn't pitch after late June in 2024 after undergoing an ulnar nerve transposition procedure on his right elbow, but he was given a clean bill of health heading into spring training. After falling short in his bid for a spot in the Giants' Opening Day rotation, Winn was optioned to Sacramento, with whom he posted a 5.91 ERA over three starts before being shut down. He's now missed nearly six weeks with the injury and has yet to begin a rehab assignment.

White (finger) struck out three and allowed one earned run on two hits and one walk over two innings in his start Friday with High-A Beloit.

White was out of commission for three weeks due to a left index finger injury, but he was cleared to slot back into the Beloit rotation Friday, albeit on a limited workload. Through seven starts at High-A this season, the 20-year-old southpaw owns a 3.33 ERA, 1.33 WHIP and 40:17 K:BB over 27 innings.

De La Cruz went 2-for-3 with a two-run home run and an additional run scored during Sunday's 7-3 loss to the Cubs.

De La Cruz tagged Jameson Taillon for a two-run homer in the sixth inning, marking the 23-year-old's 12th long ball of the campaign and his fourth over his last eight games. During that stretch, De La Cruz is 11-for-30 (.367) with 12 runs scored, nine RBI and a stolen base. He and Francisco Lindor are the only two shortstops in baseball with 12 or more home runs this season.

Martinez (3-6) took the loss Sunday against the Cubs, allowing five runs on seven hits and two walks with two strikeouts over 4.2 innings.

Martinez's five runs allowed were a season high, and he failed to strike out more than three batters for a fourth consecutive outing. He yielded three extra-base hits Sunday, including a two-run home run to Michael Busch in the third frame. In 12 starts this season, Martinez has a 3.89 ERA - which would be his worst since 2017 - and a 47:15 K:BB across 69.1 innings. He's on track to face the Diamondbacks next weekend.

Taillon (5-3) picked up the win Sunday against Cincinnati, allowing two runs on three hits and one walk over 6.1 innings. He struck out two.

All of the damage against Taillon came in the sixth inning when Elly De La Cruz lifted a two-run home run. Still, Taillon notched his fourth consecutive quality start and his eighth of the campaign. In his last four appearances, Taillon has logged a 2.45 ERA and an 18:4 K:BB across 25.2 innings. He's tentatively scheduled to face the Tigers in Detroit next weekend.

Single-A Daytona placed Floyd on its 7-day injured list May 21 due to an unspecified injury.

Floyd didn't pitch at all in 2024 while recovering from shoulder surgery, but he was cleared for the start of the 2025 season before hitting the shelf with the unspecified injury. The 23-year-old righty turned in a 3.25 ERA, 0.92 WHIP and 31:11 K:BB in 27.2 innings over eight starts prior to getting shut down.

Single-A Daytona transferred Holman (undisclosed) from the 7-day injured list to the full-season injured list May 20.

Holman was placed on the 7-day IL coming out of spring training, but the Reds provided no indication at the time that he was in danger of missing the rest of the season. Evidently, the 22-year-old righty didn't heal as quickly as anticipated and will now wind up missing the entire 2025 season. Holman has pitched just nine innings in the professional ranks since being drafted in 2024.

The Padres activated Waldron (oblique) from the 60-day injured list and optioned him to Triple-A El Paso on Sunday, Kevin Acee of The San Diego Union-Tribune reports.

Waldron had been on the shelf throughout the 2025 campaign while recovering from a left oblique strain, but after completing a rehab assignment, he'll make regular turns out of the El Paso rotation. In his most recent outing for the Triple-A club Friday, Waldron struck out six over four innings but allowed four runs (three earned) on seven hits and three walks. The knuckleballer spent most of 2024 in the San Diego rotation, turning in a 4.91 ERA, 1.26 WHIP and 133:40 K:BB in 146.2 innings. He could be an option to return to the big-league rotation later on in 2025 if he can find some success with El Paso.
