Ohtani (elbow) will next throw to live hitters Monday in San Diego, Bill Plunkett of The Orange County Register reports.

Ohtani was on schedule to throw to hitters this weekend in St. Louis, but with rain in the forecast and day games both Saturday and Sunday, the Dodgers are opting to push the session back a few days in order to take advantage of better weather and timing. In Ohtani's previous sim game, he threw 29 pitches and topped out at 97 mph with his fastball while deploying his full arsenal. Ohtani is loosely slated to throw to hitters each weekend, and it's unclear how moving this session to Monday will impact his throwing schedule moving forward.

The Rockies recalled Bouchard from Triple-A Albuquerque on Saturday.

Bouchard will be brought up to bolster the Rockies' outfield depth after Mickey Moniak (personal) was placed on the bereavement list. Bouchard made the Rockies' Opening Day roster but was demoted to Triple-A after posting a disappointing .169/.250/.246 slash line across 72 plate appearances. He's regained his form at the plate in Albuquerque, where he has slashed .268/.388/.423 with two home runs and six RBI in 18 games.

The Rockies placed Moniak (personal) on the bereavement list Saturday.

Moniak will be away from the team while tending to a personal matter. He can spend anywhere from 3-to-7 days on the bereavement list. In Moniak's absence, the Rockies replenished their outfield depth by recalling Sean Bouchard from Triple-A Albuquerque.

The Diamondbacks transferred Burnes (elbow) to the 60-day injured list Saturday.

The move allows the Diamondbacks to select Aramis Garcia's contract from Triple-A Reno. Burnes is set to undergo Tommy John surgery later this month, which will sideline him for the rest of the 2025 season and most, if not all, of 2026.

The Diamondbacks placed Mena on the 15-day injured list Saturday due to a right shoulder strain.

Mena may have strained his right shoulder during Friday's suspended game against the Reds, when he gave up a walk and a solo home run while striking out one batter in one inning. Christian Montes De Oca has been appointed the 27th man for Saturday's contest, but it's unclear whether the Diamondbacks have another move in place to bolster their bullpen in the absence of Mena. Mena will undergo further tests to determine the severity of the injury and establish an estimated timeline for his return.

Montes De Oca will serve as the 27th man for the Diamondbacks in Saturday's game against the Reds.

With Friday's suspended game being finished Saturday, Montes De Oca has been brought in to replenish the Diamondbacks' bullpen, and an appearance in Saturday's game would mark the 25-year-old right-hander's major-league debut. Montes De Oca has 4.07 ERA, 1.33 WHIP, two saves and a 26:6 K:BB across 24.1 innings with Triple-A Reno this season.

The Diamondbacks selected Garcia's contract from Triple-A Reno on Saturday.

Garcia signed a minor-league contract with the Diamondbacks in November, and in Triple-A this season he is slashing .273/.417/.582 with 10 home runs and 20 RBI in 139 plate appearances. If Gabriel Moreno (hand) is on the shelf for an extended period of time, Garcia would likely serve as Arizona's backup catcher behind Jose Herrera.

Moreno (hand) is not in the Diamondbacks' starting lineup against the Reds on Saturday.

Moreno took a wild pitch off his right hand in Friday's suspended game. The good news is that initial X-rays came back negative, but he will be out of the lineup for Saturday's contest while Jose Herrera serves behind home plate and bats ninth.

Carroll is not in the Diamondbacks' starting lineup against the Reds on Saturday.

Carroll will ride the pine for a second consecutive game while Lourdes Gurriel, Alek Thomas and Randal Grichuk man the outfield for the Snakes on Saturday. Carroll has gone 9-for-51 (.176) with one steal, three doubles, four home runs and seven RBI since May 20.

Naylor (hand/shoulder) is serving as the designated hitter and batting cleanup against the Reds on Saturday.

Naylor was pulled from Thursday's game against Atlanta due to lingering shoulder and hand injuries. He didn't play Friday versus Cincinnati, but he's back in the lineup for Saturday's contest. Naylor is slashing .289/.345/.448 with nine steals, seven home runs and 39 RBI in 255 plate appearances this season.
