Stowers (hand) is out of the lineup for Sunday's game against the Rays.

Stowers will miss a fourth consecutive start while he continues to deal with a sore hand. Though he went unused in Saturday's extra-inning win, Stowers was reportedly available off the bench, so he appears likely to avoid a stint on the injured list. Javier Sanoja will get the nod in left field Sunday.

Ramirez is out of the lineup for Sunday's game against the Rays.

With first pitch Sunday set for 12:10 p.m. EDT, Ramirez will get a breather after starting at either catcher or designated hitter in 18 straight contests. Liam Hicks will handle catching duties, and Heriberto Hernandez will serve as Miami's DH.

Walker (wrist) took swings off a tee Saturday, Daniel Guerrero of the St. Louis Post-Dispatch reports.

Walker had been shut down for a few days after being given an anti-inflammatory injection in his left wrist earlier this week. Per Cardinals manager Oliver Marmol, Walker's rehab will go "pretty quickly" as long as the wrist responds. Walker is eligible for activation from the 10-day injured list Sunday but still lacks a clear timeline for his return.

Espinal is out of the lineup for Sunday's game against the Diamondbacks.

Espinal is on the bench for the second day in a row and appears to have shifted back into a utility role in the wake of Christian Encarnacion-Strand's return from the injured list. Espinal has gone just 1-for-29 over his last eight games and is slashing just .239/.296/.287 over 204 plate appearances on the season.

Stephenson is out of the lineup for Sunday's game against the Diamondbacks.

Stephenson had started 11 straight games at either catcher or designated hitter, so he was overdue for a day off. Jose Trevino will be behind the plate Sunday, while Gavin Lux handles DH duties.

De La Cruz will start at shortstop and bat third in Sunday's game against the Diamondbacks.

After the recent passing of his sister, De La Cruz had been expected to be placed on the bereavement list prior to Friday's series opener versus Arizona, but the Reds never made an official transaction. The star shortstop wasn't on Friday's lineup card while he was away from the team, but after that game was suspended, he came off the bench when it resumed Saturday before going 1-for-4 with a double, a walk and two runs scored in Saturday's regularly scheduled contest.

Friedl went 1-for-5 with two walks, a home run, three RBI and two additional runs scored in wins over the Diamondbacks on Friday and Saturday. Friday's suspended game was completed Saturday.

Friedl homered during the Friday portion of the suspended game and then reached base three times in Saturday's regularly scheduled affair, including getting hit by a pitch. The Reds' leadoff hitter is rolling of late, going 25-for-66 (.379) with nine walks, four doubles, a triple, two home runs, one steal, six RBI and 14 runs scored over the last 17 contests. He's second on the team behind Elly De La Cruz with 38 runs in 62 games.

Wrobleski is slated to start Wednesday's game in San Diego.

The left-hander was summoned from Triple-A Oklahoma City for a start Friday, taking a loss while allowing four earned runs on six hits and three walks over six innings against the Cardinals. With the Los Angeles pitching staff hit hard by injuries, Wrobleski will be given the chance to make at least one more turn through the rotation, but he may not be guaranteed any starts after that.

Burns allowed three hits and struck out six in a complete-game, seven-inning shutout victory for Double-A Chattanooga on Saturday.

Burns was masterful in retiring the first 17 batters he faced before allowing three singles over his final 1.1 innings. The Reds' top pitching prospect was still hitting 98 mph in his final frame, per Jesse Borek and Cole Winetraub of MLB.com. The right-hander has walked just four batters over 42 innings since his promotion to Double-A and owns a combined 75:9 K:BB on the season.

Marte went 2-for-7 with a two-run home run in losses to the Reds on Friday and Saturday. The Friday game was suspended after six innings due to weather and completed Saturday.

Marte launched his 12th homer of the year during the Friday portion of the suspended game, giving him home runs in consecutive games and four in a four-game span. Marte has nine home runs and 16 RBI over the last 19 contests, during which he's slashed .342/.455/.740 across 89 plate appearances.
