Gonzales is out of the lineup for Thursday's game against the Cubs.

After going 6-for-23 with an RBI and three runs scored over his last six games, Gonzales will step out of the lineup Thursday while Adam Frazier covers second base, opening up left field for Tommy Pham.

Hayes is absent from the lineup for Thursday's tilt against the Cubs.

It's a routine day off for Hayes, who started the previous five games and 14 of the last 15 contests. Jared Triolo is handling third base and batting ninth for the Pirates.

Heaney (calf) is listed as the Pirates' probable pitcher for Thursday's game against the Cubs at Wrigley Field.

Heaney experienced cramping in his left calf during his most recent start Saturday against the Phillies, but the Pirates never suggested that he was at any real risk of missing his next turn through the rotation. After inking a one-year, $5.25 million deal over the winter, Heaney has proven to be an excellent value signing for the Pirates. He enters Thursday's contest having gone 3-4 with a 3.24 ERA, 1.15 WHIP and 52:24 K:BB over 72.1 innings through his first 13 starts.

Manager Carlos Mendoza said Thursday that Senga was diagnosed with a right hamstring strain and will need to spend time on the injured list, Anthony DiComo of MLB.com reports.

Senga's hamstring forced him to make an early exit from his start against Washington on Thursday after tossing 5.2 shutout innings. The Mets won't know more about the severity of his injury until he undergoes an MRI on Friday, but the team has already deemed his injury significant enough to warrant a stint on the IL. Paul Blackburn will likely slide into the rotation until Frankie Montas (lat) and Sean Manaea (oblique) are ready to come off the injured list.

Donovan (toe) remains out of the lineup for Thursday's contest in Milwaukee.

He'll miss a second straight game after departing Tuesday's tilt versus the Blue Jays with a sprained capsule in the joint of his left big toe. The current expectation is that Donovan will be able to avoid a stint on the 10-day injured list, but he'll need to show improvement in the coming days. Nolan Gorman is getting another start at second base Thursday.

Diaz earned the save in Thursday's 4-3 win over the Nationals, allowing a walk and a hit in a scoreless inning.

After Ryne Stanek allowed three straight hits to lead off the ninth, the Mets turned to Diaz to protect a 4-1 lead with the tying run at the plate. Diaz was shaky initially, walking Nathaniel Lowe to load the bases before allowing a base hit to Josh Bell that cut the lead to 4-2. The Nats would scratch across one more run on a wild pitch before Diaz induced a pair of groundouts to strand the tying run on third base. The 31-year-old improves to 15-for-16 in save chances this year. He's allowed just one earned run in his last 18.2 innings, lowering his ERA to 2.22 with a 0.95 WHIP and 42:12 K:BB across 28.1 innings this season.

Miley is slated to start Sunday's game against the Tigers at Comerica Park, Evan Woodbery of MLive.com reports.

Miley made a two-inning relief appearance in his 2025 debut with the Reds back on June 4, but he's since moved into the Cincinnati rotation while Hunter Greene recovers from a right groin strain. The veteran southpaw was credited with a win in his first start Monday in Cleveland, but he gave up three earned runs on five hits and four walks over five innings. He'll make for a risky streaming option on the road versus a Detroit offense that has produced a collective 119 wRC+ versus left-handed pitching this season.

Soroka (3-4) took the loss Thursday against the Mets, allowing four runs on three hits and three walks over five innings. He struck out five.

Coming off off his first scoreless outing of the season, Soroka found himself in trouble early Thursday, issuing a pair of walks in the first inning before giving up a three-run homer to Jeff McNeil with two outs. Soroka would settle in, allowing just one additional run over his final four innings, but the Nats couldn't climb out of the early hole in an eventual 4-3 loss. The 27-year-old Soroka sports a 5.14 ERA despite posting a solid 1.12 WHIP and 40:10 K:BB through eight starts (42 innings) this season. He'll look to get back in the win column in his next start, currently slated for next week at home versus the Rockies.

Scott pitched a perfect eighth inning, striking out one batter and earning a hold in Wednesday's win over San Diego.

Dodgers manager Dave Roberts elected to call upon Scott to face the middle of the Padres' order with Los Angeles holding a 4-2 lead in the eighth. Scott looked great in firing 11 of 15 pitches for strikes and retiring Jackson Merrill, Gavin Sheets and Xander Bogaerts in order. Roberts indicated in early June that the team has "no dedicated closer," and that was emphasized Wednesday, as Scott notched a hold while fellow lefty Alex Vesia struck out the side in a perfect ninth frame to grab the save. Still, Scott leads the club with 12 saves -- including three of the past five -- and remains the best choice for fantasy managers among the Dodgers' bullpen options.

Walker (wrist) will begin a rehab assignment with Triple-A Memphis on Thursday, John Denton of MLB.com reports.

Walker had a setback with his left wrist last week, but he responded well to an anti-inflammatory shot and has been cleared for rehab games. The young outfielder's rehab assignment is expected to be a brief one, with a return June 17 for the start of a series against the White Sox representing a logical return date if all goes well.
