Senzatela didn't factor into the decision Thursday against the Giants, allowing seven runs on nine hits and three walks over four innings. He struck out two.

After delivering a clean opening inning, Senzatela was tagged for four runs in the second before surrendering a three-run homer to Dominic Smith in the fifth. While the Rockies would ultimately stage a late comeback that got Senzatela off the hook for the loss, it was another rough showing from the right-hander, who's given up seven runs in two of his last three starts. Senzatela's ERA is up to 7.23 through 66 innings this season with a 2.03 WHIP and 35:24 K:BB. He's currently scheduled to face the Nationals on the road in his next outing.

Birdsong allowed three runs on six hits and two walks over six innings in a no-decision Thursday against the Rockies. He struck out six.

It was a solid bounce-back effort from Birdsong, who issued five walks in just 4.1 innings during his last outing versus Atlanta. The 23-year-old right-hander held the Rockies to just a pair of fourth-inning runs while posting his first quality start this season. Overall, Birdsong is 3-1 with a 2.79 ERA, 1.28 WHIP and 51:19 K:BB across 48.1 innings this year. He's currently lined up to face the Guardians at home in his next outing.

Manager Pat Murphy said Thursday that the team hopes for Perkins (shin) to begin a rehab assignment at Triple-A Nashville on June 25, Jack Stern of BrewerFanatic.com reports.

A fractured right shin has kept Perkins on the injured list since the start of the regular season. He initially struggled to make progress after starting up his running program in May but has since turned a corner and now seems to be only a couple of weeks away from returning to a competitive setting. Assuming he doesn't run into any setbacks in his recovery, the 28-year-old outfielder should have a good chance to make his season debut before the All-Star break.

Manager Pat Murphy said Thursday that Mitchell (oblique) will likely begin a rehab assignment at Triple-A Nashville on June 20, Jack Stern of BrewerFanatic.com reports.

Mitchell has been on the shelf since late April due to a left oblique strain, though he recently resumed baseball activities at the Brewers' complex in Arizona. It's unclear how many minor-league reps the team will try to get Mitchell before activating him from the injured list, though he may still have a shot at returning to Milwaukee before the end of the month.

Cortes (elbow) will throw another bullpen session Friday, Curt Hogg of the Milwaukee Journal Sentinel reports.

It will be his second time throwing off the bump since he was diagnosed with a left elbow flexor strain in early April. The buildup for Cortes has been slow, but he's making progress and could be ready to face hitters before long. Once he's cleared to pitch in games, the veteran southpaw will require multiple rehab starts.

Gasser (elbow) will throw a live batting practice session later this week, Curt Hogg of the Milwaukee Journal Sentinel reports.

It will be the first time Gasser has faced hitters since he underwent Tommy John surgery in June of 2024. The left-hander will continue to ramp up slowly and could make a return to the Brewers before the end of the 2025 season, if all goes well.

Yelich (wrist) will return to the starting lineup Thursday against the Cardinals, Adam McCalvy of MLB.com reports.

After missing two starts against Atlanta due to a swollen right wrist, Yelich seems to be feeling well enough to rejoin the starting nine for Thursday's series opener. The 33-year-old outfielder showed flashes of his old self at the end of May and beginning of June but has since cooled off, going just 3-for-17 with eight strikeouts across his last five games.

Nimmo went 2-for-4 with a solo home run in Thursday's 4-3 win over the Nationals.

Nimmo extended the Mets' lead to 4-0 in the fifth inning with a homer off Michael Soroka, his 13th of the year and third in two games. The 32-year-old Nimmo is certainly heating up at the plate -- he's gone 8-for-21 (.381) over his last five contests. He's slashing .241/.305/.452 with 37 RBI, 33 runs scored and four stolen bases across 266 plate appearances this year.

Davis is not in the lineup for Thursday's game versus the Cubs.

Davis was behind the dish for the last two contests against the Marlins and four of the last five games, so he'll get some rest for Thursday's series opener. Brett Sullivan will catch and bat eighth for the Pirates.

McNeil went 1-for-2 with a three-run homer in Thursday's 4-3 win over the Nationals.

McNeil opened the scoring in the first inning with his seventh homer of the season, a two-out blast off Michael Soroka that put the Mets ahead 3-0. It's the third homer in four games for McNeil, who's gone 16-for-47 (.340) in his last 13 contests. Overall, McNeil is batting .270 with a .911 OPS, 22 RBI, 13 runs scored and one stolen base through his first 135 plate appearances this season.
