The Marlins will activate Weathers (lat) from the 60-day injured list to start Thursday's game against the Nationals in Miami, Christina De Nicola of MLB.com reports.

After completing rehab starts with Triple-A Jacksonville on Aug. 30 and this past Thursday, Weathers returned to Miami on Monday and tossed a live bullpen session, per Daniel Alvarez-Montes of ElExtraBase.com. With Weathers' lat checking out fine following the throwing session, the Marlins have cleared him to slot back into the rotation for the series finale with Washington. Because Weathers has been on the shelf since June 9 due to the left lat strain and built up to 68 pitches in his most recent rehab start, he'll likely have a light workload restriction in place Thursday. Prior to landing on the IL, Weathers had made five starts this season for Miami, going 1-1 with a 3.28 ERA, 1.05 WHIP and 23:8 K:BB in 24.2 innings.

Phillies manager Rob Thomson said that Marsh is absent from Monday's lineup against the Mets due to illness, Matt Gelb of The Athletic reports.

Marsh is with the team, but it's unclear whether he'll be available off the bench. The Mets are scheduled to start southpaw Sean Manaea on Tuesday, so the left-handed-hitting Marsh could be held out of the lineup until Wednesday. Max Kepler, Harrison Bader and Nick Castellanos will serve as the Phillies' starters in the outfield Monday.

Ruiz has been pulled off his rehab assignment with Double-A Harrisburg on Monday due to mild headaches and will rejoin the Nationals in Miami to re-enter concussion protocol, Mark Zuckerman of MASNSports.com reports.

Ruiz's return from the 7-day injured list had seemed imminent, but interim manager Miguel Cairo was non-committal on the 27-year-old's availability to play again this season following his latest setback, per Spencer Nusbaum of The Washington Post. Riley Adams will continue serving as the Nationals' primary catcher while Ruiz is shelved, with Jorge Alfaro backing up Adams.

The Phillies recalled Kemp from Triple-A Lehigh Valley on Monday, and he'll start at third base and bat ninth in the team's series opener against the Mets, Paul Casella of MLB.com reports.

With Alec Bohm (shoulder) landing on the injured list in a corresponding move, Kemp looks like he could be in store for a near-everyday role at third base for at least the next week and a half. When Bohm previously missed about of month of action in July and August due to a left rib fracture, Kemp had served as the Phillies' primary option at the hot corner, but the rookie slashed just .196/.270/.393 with a 33.3 percent strikeout rate during that stretch before being demoted to Triple-A upon Bohm's return. With that in mind, Kemp doesn't profile as a high-priority fantasy pickup down the stretch, especially since he'll most likely be batting near the bottom of the order while Bohm is on the shelf.

The Brewers optioned Yoho to Triple-A Nashville on Monday.

Yoho struck out a pair in a scoreless frame during Sunday's win over the Pirates in what was his lone appearance during his most recent stint in the majors. Grant Anderson (ankle) was reinstated from the 15-day injured list to replace Yoho on the active roster.

The Brewers reinstated Anderson (ankle) from the 15-day injured list Monday.

Right-hander Craig Yoho was optioned to Triple-A Nashville to clear a spot on the active roster and in the bullpen for Anderson, who spent the minimum amount of time on the shelf while recovering from right ankle tendinitis. The 28-year-old compiled a 2.87 ERA, 1.21 WHIP and 66:27 K:BB in 62.2 innings with Milwaukee prior to landing on the IL and is likely to see most of his usage in middle relief.

Atlanta recalled Dunning from Triple-A Gwinnett on Monday.

Atlanta's bullpen saw heavy use over the previous two days, so Dunning will join the big club to provide a fresh relief arm. He's allowed 13 runs over 17.1 innings covering 10 appearances in the majors between Texas and Atlanta in 2025.

The Phillies placed Bohm on the 10-day injured list Monday due to a cyst in his shoulder, Matt Gelb of The Athletic reports.

Otto Kemp was recalled from Triple-A Lehigh Valley in a corresponding move, and he'll immediately enter the lineup as Bohm's replacement at third base in Monday's series opener versus the Mets. Bohm had started in each of the Phillies' last five games and wasn't known to be nursing a shoulder issue, but he'll require an injection to drain the cyst and will be shut down for at least the next week and a half. The Phillies will be rolling out a new-look left side of the infield Monday, as Edmundo Sosa will draw the start at shortstop after Trea Turner (hamstring) was placed on the injured list along with Bohm. The 29-year-old will be eligible for activation Sept. 19, but a clearer target for his return likely won't emerge until he's cleared to resume baseball activities.

Atlanta optioned Harris to Triple-A Gwinnett on Monday.

Harris pitched each of the previous two days and allowed one runs over 2.2 innings covering three appearances during his brief time with the big club. Atlanta will replace him with a much-needed fresh bullpen arm in Dane Dunning, who was called up from Triple-A.

The Phillies placed Turner (hamstring) on the 10-day injured list Monday.

Though Philadelphia haven't yet revealed the findings of the MRI that Turner underwent on his hamstring earlier Monday, Jon Heyman of the New York Post relays that the Phillies are optimistic that the star shortstop will be able to return for the playoffs, if not the tail end of the regular season. With that in mind, the right hamstring strain that Turner sustained in Sunday's 5-4 loss to the Marlins seems likely to keep him out for more than the minimum 10 days, making him a drop candidate in redraft leagues. With Turner on the shelf, Edmundo Sosa is slated to start at shortstop in Monday's game against the Mets and should serve as the primary option at the position for the duration of Turner's absence.
