Atlanta recalled Wisely from Triple-A Gwinnett on Tuesday.

Wisely was claimed off waivers from the Giants last week. He's absorbing the roster spot vacated by Ozzie Albies (hand) and could see some starts at second base in Albies' place down the stretch. Wisely is a career .217/.263/.324 hitter over parts of three big-league seasons.

Atlanta placed Albies on the 10-day injured list Tuesday with a fractured left hamate.

Albies suffered the injury on a swing during Monday's game against the Nationals. Typically, surgery is required with this type of injury, but it should not affect Albies' availability for spring training. Albies will finish the season with a .240/.306/.365 batting line, 16 home runs and 14 stolen bases over 157 contests. Despite the disappointing season, Albies' $7 million club option for 2026 with undoubtedly be exercised. Atlanta could mix and match at second base in the final days of the season, with Vidal Brujan, Luke Williams and Brett Wisely among those in the mix for starts.

Donovan (groin) is expected to return to the lineup for Tuesday's game in San Francisco, MLB.com reports.

Donovan was a late scratch from Monday's lineup due to left groin tightness, which is the same injury he returned from earlier this month. Though it appears he's still not 100 percent, the Cardinals anticipate his absence lasting just one day. Donovan is 9-for-28 with one home run in six games since coming back from the injured list.

Padres president of baseball operations A.J. Preller said Monday that he's hopeful Tatis (illness) will be able to return to the lineup later this week, Dennis Lin of The Athletic reports.

Tatis was not even at the ballpark for Monday's game versus the Brewers due to illness, and he's being tested for a variety of potential maladies, including influenza and COVID-19. Preller seemed to indicate that he expects Tatis to miss multiple games, though more could be known about the outfielder's condition later Tuesday.

Herrera went 1-for-3 with a two-run home run and two walks in Monday's victory over the Giants.

Herrera tied the game in the fifth inning with a two-run homer off Justin Verlander, sparking a Cardinals win. The 25-year-old has been one of the brightest spots in St. Louis this year, slashing .281/.372/.462 with 13 doubles, 18 homers and 62 RBI in 102 games. While he showed promise with an .800 OPS in 72 games last season, Herrera's ability to maintain strong rate stats while boosting his overall production in 2025 makes this breakout especially encouraging.

Ramos went 2-for-5 with a solo home run and two additional RBI in Monday's loss against St. Louis.

Ramos set the tone from the leadoff spot, blasting his 19th homer of the season in the first inning before adding a two-run single in the fourth. Despite that spark, he's slumped to a .228/.296/.374 line over his past 30 games. For the season, he owns a .726 OPS across 152 contests -- slightly above league average -- but that mark, along with a .391 slugging percentage, is a step back from his .791 OPS in 2024.

Verlander (3-11) took the loss Monday, allowing six runs (four earned) on nine hits and two walks over 4.1 innings against the Cardinals. He struck out three.

Verlander labored against the Cardinals on Monday, failing to get through five innings while surrendering his highest hit total since Aug. 10. The outing ended an impressive run in which the right-hander logged a 0.87 ERA and 1.03 WHIP across 31 innings over his previous five starts. Now in his age-42 season, the veteran owns a 3.88 ERA and 1.38 WHIP through 28 starts and 146 innings, and he's lined up for one final regular-season start Sunday against the Rockies.

McGreevy (8-3) earned the win Monday, allowing five runs on six hits and three walks over five innings against the Giants. He struck out two.

McGreevy battled through five innings Monday but wasn't sharp, giving up five runs, including home runs to Heliot Ramos and Rafael Devers. The hurler has turned in a serviceable, if unspectacular, campaign with a 4.35 ERA and 1.23 WHIP across 91 innings in 16 appearances. He's lined up to take the ball for the Cardinals' season finale Sunday against the Cubs at Wrigley Field.

Iglesias went 2-for-3 with a solo home run, an additional run scored and a walk in Monday's 5-4 win over the Brewers.

Iglesias cut the Padres' deficit to one with a solo homer off Freddy Peralta in the fifth inning of a game San Diego went on to win in extras, clinching a postseason berth. The veteran infielder has struggled overall with a .582 OPS in 109 games, but he's been swinging the bat well lately, slashing .308/.438/.538 over his past seven contests. Iglesias has seen increased playing time with Xander Bogaerts (foot) sidelined, though that role is likely to shrink once Bogaerts returns ahead of the playoffs.

Pivetta did not factor into the decision Monday, allowing three runs on four hits and five walks over 5.2 innings in a 5-4 victory over the Brewers. He struck out five.

Pivetta delivered a decent outing Monday, though his five walks marked a season high. The 32-year-old has been sharp throughout 2025 and has stayed steady down the stretch, carrying a 2.90 ERA and 1.12 WHIP across 40.1 innings in his past seven starts, numbers that closely mirror his season line of a 2.87 ERA and 0.99 WHIP over 181.2 innings in 31 outings. He's currently lined up to start Sunday's regular-season finale against the Diamondbacks, but the Padres could hold him back to open a potential Wild Card Series game.
