On the season, Reynolds is slashing a mediocre .232/.290/.375 with 10 home runs, 51 RBI, 40 runs scored, three stolen bases and a 30:115 BB:K across 428 plate appearances.

Brewers manager Pat Murphy said that Mears (back) will be available for Monday's game against the Cubs, Jack Stern of BrewerFanatic.com reports.
Mears tweaked his back prior to his relief appearance in Friday's 5-1 loss to the Marlins, but after resting up during the final two games of the weekend, the veteran reliever looks like he'll be ready to go for Monday's series opener. The right-hander heads into the contest having logged one win and 13 holds to go with a 2.95 ERA and 0.91 WHIP over 45 appearances for Milwaukee this season.

Marlins' Kyle Stowers: Out Monday with illness
Stowers was scratched from the lineup for Monday's game in St. Louis due to an illness, Christina De Nicola of MLB.com reports.
Stowers should be ready to return to the lineup in a day or two. The Marlins have inserted Heriberto Hernandez into the lineup in left field and in the cleanup spot in Stowers' place.

Braves' Drake Baldwin: Getting rest Monday
Baldwin is out of the lineup for Monday's game against the Royals.
The left-handed-hitting Baldwin will be given a breather in the series opener while the Royals send southpaw Rich Hill to the bump. Marcell Ozuna will get the nod at designated hitter in place of Baldwin, who hit .250 with five doubles, nine RBI and five runs while starting in each of Atlanta's previous 10 games.

Padres' Ryan Bergert: In line to start Tuesday
Berget has been added to the Padres' taxi squad and is expected to be called up from Triple-A El Paso to start Tuesday against the Mets, AJ Cassavell of MLB.com reports.
A spot start for Berget buys the struggling Yu Darvish an extra day of rest and pushes Nick Pivetta back in the schedule to start Friday against the Cardinals. Berget has made a positive impression during his six starts and four relief outings with the big club this season, collecting a 2.84 ERA and 30:14 K:BB over 31.2 innings.

Marlins' Matthew Etzel: Headed to Miami
The Marlins acquired Etzel (undisclosed) from the Rays on Monday in exchange for Nick Fortes, Mark Feinsand of MLB.com reports.
For the second trade deadline in a row, Etzel has been traded elsewhere, as he was sent from the Orioles to the Rays last July. The 23-year-old has slashed just .230/.360/.347 with five home runs and 17 stolen bases at Double-A Montgomery in 2025 and is currently on the 7-day injured list with an undisclosed injury.

Rojas will start at third base and bat eighth in Monday's game against the Reds.
After he reached base in all four of his plate appearances and scored two runs to go with a stolen base in Sunday's 4-3 loss to Boston, Rojas will draw his fourth straight start at his third different position. He'll be filling in at the hot corner Monday for a resting Tommy Edman.

Smith is out of the lineup for Monday's game against the Reds.
The Dodgers haven't indicated that Smith is dealing with any sort of illness or injury, but he'll be on the bench for a second straight game while Dalton Rushing draws another start behind the plate. Smith has been productive at the plate thus far in the second half, batting .290 with a pair of solo home runs and a 4:7 K:BB in 10 games since the All-Star break.
