Kiner-Falefa went 1-for-4 with a double, two RBI and a run scored Monday against the Giants.

Kiner-Falefa narrowly missed a home run on a fly ball to center field in the second inning, though he still managed to drive in two after it bounced off the wall. Like many of the Pirates' regulars, he has struggled to produce much at the plate in July, going just 15-for-66 with six RBI and four runs scored across 21 games. Kiner-Falefa is also a trade candidate, so he may begin to lose out on playing time if he is dealt to a contender.

Benson went 1-for-4 with an RBI in Monday's 5-2 loss to the Dodgers.

Benson's ninth-inning single produced the final run of the game, giving him an RBI in his last two contests. His playing time has dropped off significantly since the return of Jake Fraley; Benson's started just three of 10 games since the Reds returned from the All-Star break. He's batting .178 (24-for-135) over the last 46 contests.

Gonzales went 2-for-5 with a solo home run Monday against the Giants.

Gonzales got the Pirates on the board in the first inning with his fifth home run of the season and second of July. He has only five extra-base hits with five RBI and eight runs scored across 20 games in the month while going 15-for-75. Nevertheless, he's hit fourth or higher in the Pittsburgh order for the vast majority of games since being activated from the injured list June 4.

De La Cruz went 1-for-3 with a walk and a stolen base in Monday's 5-2 loss to the Dodgers.

De La Cruz didn't have a role in either of Cincinnati's runs, but he managed to steal his 29th base of the season. That puts him on the verge of a third consecutive season with 30-plus steals. He led the majors in 2024 with 67 steals.

Thomas went 1-for-3 with a solo home run in Monday's 5-1 loss to the Tigers.

Thomas' eighth-inning blast ended a 25-inning scoreless streak for the Diamondbacks, who have scored just two runs over the last four games. It was his sixth homer of the season and first since July 2. Arizona is a seller heading into the trade deadline, and Thomas could be an attractive piece with three years of control beyond 2025. Any trade activity that doesn't involve Thomas is not expected to impact his playing; he should remain the team's primary center fielder against right-handed starters.

Ritter (finger) has had two of the three stitches in his finger removed, MLB.com reports.

Ritter suffered a significant cut to his finger July 20, which required stitches. In addition to the removal of most of his stitches, the swelling associated with the injury has also subsided. Ritter still appears several days away from returning, as he has yet to resume swinging a bat.

Marquez (biceps) threw from 105 feet Monday, MLB.com reports.

Marquez landed on the injured list Wednesday, so it's positive that he was able to resume throwing so quickly. He hopes to throw a bullpen session soon, but he does not have a timeline to return from the injured list.

Winn went 3-for-4 with two doubles, three RBI and a run scored in Monday's 7-1 win over the Marlins.

Winn racked up three hits Monday, highlighted by a bases-clearing double in the seventh inning that helped break the game open. The 23-year-old has been locked in at the plate since the All-Star break, going 17-for-42 with four doubles and seven RBI over 11 games. While he may not profile as a standout hitter, Winn remains a key contributor for the Cardinals thanks to his elite defense at shortstop.

Pallante (6-7) earned the win Monday, allowing a hit and a walk over seven scoreless innings against the Marlins. He struck out four.

Pallante was stellar Monday, allowing just two Marlins to reach base while cruising to his sixth win of the season. It was a much-needed rebound for the right-hander, who came into the outing with a 9.77 ERA and 1.91 WHIP over 15.2 innings in his previous three starts. On the year, he now holds a 4.62 ERA and 1.31 WHIP across 117 innings in 21 starts. While Pallante is capable of intermittent stretches of success, improving on his modest 5.8 K/9 will likely be key to him following up Monday's outing with a stretch of strong showings.

Cabrera (4-5) took the loss Monday, allowing two runs (one earned) on four hits and three walks over six innings against the Cardinals. He struck out four.

Cabrera delivered a quality start Monday but took his fifth loss of the season due to a lack of run support. The outing capped off a strong month of July for the right-hander, who posted a 2.43 ERA and 0.94 WHIP over 29.2 innings across five starts. His average fastball velocity has climbed to 96.7 mph, matching the top speed he reached as a rookie in 2021.
