  • Phillies' Steward Berroa: Summoned to big leagues

The Phillies recalled Berroa from Triple-A Lehigh Valley on Friday. Berroa was acquired via trade in early April and now gets an opportunity in the majors after hitting .250/.361/.400 with four home runs and nine stolen bases in 38 games with Lehigh Valley. The switch-hitting Berroa will likely operate mostly as a reserve outfielder, though he could see some starts versus lefties.

  • Phillies' Steward Berroa: Traded to Phillies

The Phillies acquired Berroa (shoulder) from the Brewers on Wednesday in exchange for cash considerations. Berroa had been designated for assignment and will now join the Phillies' 40-man roster. The 26-year-old got a late start to this season while battling a right shoulder strain, but he's healthy now and will report to Triple-A Lehigh Valley, where he'll give the Phillies some outfield depth.

  • Brewers' Steward Berroa: Designated for assignment

The Brewers designated Berroa (shoulder) for assignment Friday. The club needed to free up a spot on its 40-man roster for Cooper Pratt, whose contract extension was made official. Berroa is currently on a rehab assignment as he works his way back from a right shoulder strain.

  • Brewers' Steward Berroa: Tending to sore shoulder

Brewers manager Pat Murphy said Saturday that Berroa is dealing with a sore shoulder, Todd Rosiak of the Milwaukee Journal Sentinel reports. Berroa is battling a sore shoulder to start spring training. The 26-year-old appeared in just two big-league games last season and faces an uphill battle to see MLB action in 2026. Given the time of season, expect the Brewers to be cautious with Berroa.

The Brewers optioned Berroa to Triple-A Nashville on Sunday. Berroa was up with Milwaukee for the past couple days and went 0-for-5 with a walk, a stolen base and two strikeouts in two games. He'll head back to Nashville since Blake Perkins (personal) was activated from the bereavement list Sunday.

  • Brewers' Steward Berroa: Joining big club

The Brewers recalled Berroa from Triple-A Nashville on Friday. The 26-year-old was acquired from the Dodgers in early July and will receive his first opportunity with the Brewers this weekend in Cincinnati. • Brewers' Steward Berroa: Traded to Milwaukee

The Brewers acquired Berroa from the Dodgers on Wednesday in exchange for cash considerations, optioned him to Triple-A Nashville and placed him on the 7-day injured list due to right shoulder bursitis, Adam McCalvy of MLB.com reports. Berroa has now been traded for the second time since May, as he previously went from the Blue Jays to the Dodgers. The 26-year-old has produced a .270/.358/.345 batting line with one home run and 20 stolen bases over 51 games at the Triple-A level in 2025. Berroa hasn't played in three weeks due to the shoulder issue, and it's unclear when he might be ready for game action.

  • Dodgers' Steward Berroa: Dealt to Dodgers

The Dodgers acquired Berroa from the Blue Jays on Monday in exchange for cash considerations. Berroa had been booted off the Blue Jays' 40-man roster and will now head to a new organization. The 25-year-old will report to Triple-A Oklahoma City, where he will give the Dodgers outfield depth.

  • Blue Jays' Steward Berroa: Up from Triple-A

The Blue Jays recalled Berroa from Triple-A Buffalo on Tuesday. With Daulton Varsho (shoulder) headed for the injured list, Berroa will rejoin the big-league squad in order to help replenish Toronto's outfield depth. The 25-year-old owns an .825 OPS through 300 plate appearances in the minors, but he's logged just five hits in 24 MLB games. He'll likely be limited to a bench role while with the Jays.

  • Blue Jays' Steward Berroa: Swipes two bags in rare start

Berroa went 1-for-4 with a walk, two runs scored, an RBI and two stolen bases in the second game of Monday's doubleheader against the Orioles. The 25-year-old switch hitter got the start in right field and hit ninth in the nightcap, and he took full advantage of the opportunity. Berroa has seen only 16 plate appearances in the majors this season, mainly getting deployed as a pinch runner or late-inning defensive sub, but he does have four steals in five attempts. The Blue Jays' acquisition of Joey Loperfido on Monday puts another outfielder between Berroa and more consistent playing time.
