Drake Baldwin C | ATL
Braves' Drake Baldwin: Sitting with lefty on mound
Baldwin is out of the lineup for Wednesday's game against the Brewers.
With southpaw Jose Quintana taking the hill for Milwaukee, the left-handed-hitting Baldwin will head to the bench for the series finale. Sean Murphy will get the nod behind the dish and Marcell Ozuna will crack the lineup as Atlanta's designated hitter.

Randy Rodriguez RP | SF
Giants' Randy Rodriguez: Earns third save
Rodriguez threw a perfect ninth inning to earn the save in Wednesday's 4-2 win over the Pirates. He did not record a strikeout.
Rodriguez was called upon to protect a two-run lead in the ninth inning and needed just 13 pitches to shut the door. It was an encouraging bounce-back after he allowed two runs and suffered his first blown save in the closer role Monday. On the year, the 25-year-old owns a 1.51 ERA, 0.86 WHIP and 64:11 K:BB with three saves and 13 holds across 47.2 innings.

Steward Berroa CF | PHI
Brewers' Steward Berroa: Makes return from IL
Berroa (shoulder) went 1-for-3 with a walk Tuesday after being reinstated from Triple-A Nashville's 7-day injured list.
After the Brewers acquired Berroa from the Dodgers on July 9, the outfielder was assigned to Nashville and immediately placed on the IL while he recovered from right shoulder bursitis. The 26-year-old was cleared to begin a rehab assignment July 23, and after nine games between the rookie-level Arizona Complex League and High-A Wisconsin, he received the green light to debut for Nashville.

Caleb Durbin 3B | BOS
Brewers' Caleb Durbin: Sitting again versus righty
Durbin is out of the lineup for Wednesday's game against Atlanta.
With left-hander Joey Wentz starting for Atlanta on Tuesday, Durbin rejoined the starting nine and went 0-for-4 with a walk across his five plate appearances, but he's still maintained a robust .320/.393/.440 slash line over 84 total plate appearances versus southpaws this season. Durbin has been far less effective against righties (.302 wOBA, 94 wRC+ in 242 plate appearances), though serviceable enough to remain the Brewers' best option at third base in those matchups. Even so, Durbin will find himself on the bench for the fourth straight game against a righty (Spencer Strider) while Brewers manager Pat Murphy once again goes with the switch-hitting Anthony Seigler at the hot corner. When asked about the shakeup at third base Tuesday, Murphy told Adam McCalvy of MLB.com that the rigors of the long season have played a factor in his decision to hold the rookie out of the lineup more frequently of late, though the skipper didn't indicate that Durbin has fallen into a strict platoon with Seigler. Nonetheless, the lack of consistent starts against right-handed pitching of late has made it more difficult to count on Durbin to compile counting stats.

Sal Frelick RF | MIL
Brewers' Sal Frelick: Checking back into starting nine
Frelick (knee) will start in right field and bat leadoff in Wednesday's game against Atlanta.
Frelick was out of the lineup for the last three games due to soreness in his left knee, the same one he had surgically repaired in college after suffering a meniscus injury. The 25-year-old appears to have responded well to treatment to go along with a few days of rest and will take back his normal spot in the outfield and atop the batting order Thursday as Milwaukee goes for the three-game sweep in Atlanta.

Paul DeJong SS | DET
Nationals' Paul DeJong: Filling in at keystone
DeJong will start at second base and bat third in Wednesday's game against the Athletics.
After he was on the bench for each of the last three games, DeJong will re-enter the starting nine Wednesday while Luis Garcia takes a seat against Athletics southpaw Jeffrey Springs. DeJong is slashing .231/.283/.374 overall on the season and looks destined to remain in a utility role unless an injury opens up an everyday job at second base, third base or shortstop.

Drew Millas C | WAS
Nationals' Drew Millas: Sitting after two straight starts
Millas is out of the lineup for Wednesday's game against the Athletics.
Riley Adams will get the nod behind the plate Wednesday, but Millas may have made a case for turning the Nationals' catcher spot into more of a timeshare until Keibert Ruiz (concussion) returns from the injured list. Millas started behind the plate in both of the previous two games and went a collective 4-for-8 with two doubles, two RBI and two runs. He now owns a .367 average and .467 slugging percentage over 33 plate appearances in the majors this season.
-
Luis Garcia 1B | WAS
Nationals' Luis Garcia: Receiving night off
Garcia is out of the lineup for Wednesday's game against the Athletics.
The left-handed-hitting Garcia will hit the bench Wednesday while southpaw Jeffrey Springs toes the rubber for the Athletics. Garcia had started each of the last six games, going 8-for-26 with a home run, a walk, five RBI and four runs.

Daylen Lile LF | WAS
Nationals' Daylen Lile: Hitting bench against lefty
Lile is out of the lineup for Wednesday's game against the Athletics, Mark Zuckerman of MASNSports.com reports.
The Nationals will send the left-handed-hitting Lile to the bench Wednesday while southpaw Jeffrey Springs takes the hill for the Athletics. Lile had started at one of the corner-outfield spots in each of Washington's previous 10 games, slashing .324/.341/.514 with five extra-base hits (three doubles, two triples), one stolen base, six runs and five RBI.

Jerar Encarnacion RF | SF
Giants' Jerar Encarnacion: Heading back to injured list
Giants manager Bob Melvin indicated that Encarnacion will be placed on the 10-day injured list after exiting Wednesday's 4-2 win over Pittsburgh with a right hamstring injury, Susan Slusser of the San Francisco Chronicle reports. Encarnacion went 1-for-3 with a solo home run prior to exiting the contest.
Encarnacion hurt himself in the seventh inning Wednesday while trying to beat out an infield single. He's slated to undergo an MRI on Thursday to determine the severity of his injury, but Encarnacion is expected to make his third trip to the IL of the season. He previously missed time with a fractured hand and a strained oblique.
