Lee went 2-for-3 with a double and two RBI in Friday's 7-4 loss to the Orioles.

Lee hit an RBI double in the top of the third inning, and then followed with an RBI single in the fourth. With Gleyber Torres (oblique) out since early May, Lee has started the last four games for the struggling Tigers as they look to jump start the offense with some different lineup combinations. The rookie infielder has struggled a bit with a .222/.269/.349 slash line across 24 contests, but if Detroit continues to fall out of contention, the team may give younger players like Lee even more playing time.

Bazardo (3-2) earned the win Friday against the Royals after tossing 1.1 perfect innings, striking out three.

Bazardo entered the game with two outs in the sixth and retired Salvador Perez before striking out the side in the seventh. Bazardo needed just 25 pitches (15 strikes) to record those four outs, continuing an impressive stretch of late. He's gone 1-0 with a 1.93 ERA and 8:3 K:BB across his last five outings (4.2 innings), allowing just one earned run over that span.

Munoz picked up the save Friday against the Royals after pitching a perfect ninth inning. He did not record a strikeout.

Munoz needed 16 pitches (nine strikes) to close out the door on the Royals in the ninth inning, retiring Salvador Perez, Carter Jensen and Jac Caglianone. Even though Munoz didn't record a strikeout in this outing, he also didn't allow any walks or hits. Munoz is 9-for-12 in save chances this season, and while he was charged with a blown save against the White Sox on Tuesday, this was his fifth straight scoreless outing and he's posted a 7:0 K:BB in that stretch.

McGonigle went 1-for-4 with a solo home run in Friday's 7-4 loss to the Orioles.

McGonigle started the scoring with his third home run of the season to lead off the game. The 21-year-old rookie infielder has slowed down a bit with a .222/.349/.306 slash line across his last 10 contests, though his overall slash line of .285/.393/.419 still looks quite good across the board. McGonigle may continue to have some ups and downs as he adjusts to MLB pitching, but he seems to be locked in as Detroit's preferred leadoff option, giving him a fairly high fantasy floor.

Gilbert didn't factor into the decision Friday against the Royals, allowing two hits and two walks while striking out six across 5.2 scoreless innings.

Gilbert delivered a big bounce-back performance after allowing seven runs and three homers over 6.2 frames against the Padres in his previous start May 16. Gilbert's been plagued by inconsistency so far this season. Even though he's allowed one or zero runs in three of his last five starts, he's given up 11 runs (and seven homers) in the other two outings during that stretch. All things considered, he's a better pitcher than his 3.68 ERA over those five starts would indicate. He's scheduled to make his next start at home against the A's.

Weathers and the Yankees won't face the Rays on Saturday, as the game was postponed due to rain, Ryan Bass of Rays.tv reports.

The two sides will make up Saturday's contest during a doubleheader Sept. 22, and Weathers is likely to make his next start in Sunday's series finale. He'll be aiming to bounce back after giving up five earned runs to the Blue Jays over 5.1 innings during his last appearance.

Rasmussen and the Rays won't face the Yankees on Saturday, as the game was postponed due to inclement weather, Ryan Bass of Rays.tv reports.

Saturday's contest will be made up during a doubleheader Sept. 22 in New York, and Rasmussen's next start will likely be pushed back to Sunday. The 30-year-old righty has already faced the Yankees once this season, giving up just one hit while striking out seven batters over six shutout innings April 12.

Garver went 2-for-4 with a two-run home run in Friday's win over the Royals.

Garver's two-run homer was not only all the offense the Mariners produced throughout the game, but they were the lone two runs of the entire game. Garver has been slumping at the plate recently, tallying just four hits across 28 at-bats in 13 games since the beginning of May -- although two of those have left the yard. Expect Garver to handle the majority of the catching reps as long as Cal Raleigh (oblique) remains sidelined, but Garver should not be expected to be a major fantasy contributor. He's hitting just .143 with a .690 OPS in 13 games in May.

Nimmo went 2-for-5 with a solo home run, a double, an additional RBI and a strikeout in Friday's loss to the Angels.

Nimmo launched a solo shot in the fourth inning, giving him six on the year, and he later added an RBI double in the seventh that scored Andrew McCutchen. Nimmo is hitting a solid .277 with a .795 OPS on the season, but he's seeing the ball extremely well of late. He has hits in four of his last five games (7-for-20) while launching two homers and posting a 1.159 OPS over that span.

Meckler went 2-for-3 with a three-run home run and a walk in Friday's win over the Rangers.

Meckler couldn't have wished for a better Angels debut. His contract was selected from Triple-A Salt Lake on Friday just a few hours before this game, and he ended up launching a three-run homer in his first big-league at-bat since the 2023 season. He reached base three times in the win, and he might remain in the lineup over the next few days to see if he can add some much-needed offense to a struggling Angels lineup. Los Angeles has a .630 collective OPS since the beginning of May -- the fourth-worst mark in the majors.
