Parker went 1-for-4 with a solo home run for Single-A Dunedin on Wednesday.

The homer was Parker's fourth in the last six games, and through 17 contests in June he's produced a .290/.384/.629 slash line with nine total extra-base hits, six steals and a much-improved 20.5 percent strikeout rate. The eighth overall pick in the 2025 First-Year Player Draft out of a Mississippi high school, Parker needed a couple months to adjust to pro ball, but if he maintains his current level of performance for another few weeks he could reach High-A before his 20th birthday in August.

Kolek won't be available to make his scheduled start Friday against the White Sox and is expected to be placed on the paternity list prior to the contest, Joel Goldberg of Bally Sports Kansas City reports.

Once he's officially placed on the list, Kolek will be away from the club for the next 1-to-3 days, by rule. He could rejoin the team this weekend to make a start against the White Sox, though the Royals might also opt to just skip the right-hander's turn through the rotation. Kolek is coming off his worst start of the season, having allowed nine runs over 1.2 innings in a loss to the Cardinals last Sunday.

Keys went 2-for-4 with a walk, two home runs and four RBI for Triple-A Buffalo on Wednesday.

The 23-year-old third baseman began the year with a .287/.419/.585 slash line and 14 homers in 49 games for Double-A New Hampshire, and since getting promoted to Buffalo in early June, Keys has kept right on slugging with a .288/.408/.712 line and six long balls in his first 17 games at Triple-A. A fourth-round pick in the 2024 First-Year Player Draft out of Bucknell, Keys is knocking loudly on the door of the majors, but it's unclear where he might fit this summer on a Blue Jays roster that has Vladimir Guerrero at first base, Kazuma Okamoto at third and George Springer at DH.

Canzone is not in the lineup for Thursday's contest in Pittsburgh.

Canzone returned to the lineup Wednesday following a one-day absence with a right hamstring injury, but he'll be back on the bench Thursday. He did not suffer any known setback Wednesday, so the Mariners are likely just giving Canzone a break for Thursday's matinee. Cal Raleigh is in the designated-hitter slot, and Mitch Garver will grab a start at catcher.

DeLuca is not in the lineup for Thursday's game against the Royals.

DeLuca has now started five of seven contests since returning from the injured list last week. The Rays are going with Cedric Mullins in center field and Victor Mesa in right field in Thursday's series finale.

Massey is absent from the lineup for Thursday's game against the Rays.

The Rays have a right-handed opener (Casey Legumina) followed by a left-handed bulk reliever (Ian Seymour) going in the series finale, so the left-handed-swinging Massey will take a seat. Josh Rojas is at second base and will bat fifth for the Royals.

Witt (knee) remains out of the lineup for Thursday's contest versus the Rays.

Witt will miss a sixth consecutive start as he deals with a Grade 1 MCL sprain of his right knee. He has been available off the bench the last couple days, so Witt does appear likely to avoid a trip to the injured list. His next opportunity to return to the Royals' lineup will come Friday in Chicago against the division-leading White Sox.

The Rays recalled Grove from Triple-A Durham on Thursday.

Grove finished his rehab from shoulder surgery and was optioned to Durham recently following the conclusion of his rehab assignment. Now, he's back in the big leagues as a replacement for the injured Steven Matz (ankle). Assuming Grove appears in a game, it will be his first at the big-league level since 2024.

The Rays placed Matz on the 15-day injured list Thursday with a left ankle sprain.

It's unclear when or how Matz was injured, but it will cost him at least the next two weeks of action. Matz has been roughed up for 10 runs (nine earned) over seven innings in five appearances since being demoted to the Rays' bullpen.

Fedde didn't factor into the decision in Wednesday's 4-3 extra-inning loss to the Guardians, giving up two runs (one earned) on five hits and three walks over four innings of relief. He struck out two.

Working behind opener Chris Murphy, Fedde dealt with traffic on the basepaths in every frame he was on the mound for, but the veteran right-hander was able to keep Cleveland off the board until finally buckling in the sixth inning and getting lifted after 75 pitches (44 strikes). Fedde was on the hook for his seventh loss of 2026, but he escaped when the White Sox tied it up in the ninth off Guardians closer Cade Smith. Fedde has been stingy over five appearances (one start) in June, posting a 1.69 ERA, 1.27 WHIP and 16:7 K:BB through 21.1 innings. His next turn through the rotation, either as a traditional starter or bulk reliever, is scheduled to come on the road early next week in Baltimore.
