Seager (back) did some jogging in the outfield at Angels Stadium on Friday and said afterward that it's "definitely the goal" to return for the team's upcoming homestand, Shawn McFarland of The Dallas Morning News reports. However, Seager added that he needs to see how his back responds to some workouts before he can resume full baseball activities.

When Seager landed on the injured list, Rangers president of baseball operations Chris Young said he believed Seager could return May 25 when first eligible, for the start of a seven-game homestand. It sounds like that's still a possibility, though the fact Seager hasn't yet resumed full baseball activities clouds this picture a bit. Seager's production has fallen off a cliff so far in his age-32 season, but his track record as a five-time All-Star and three-time Silver Slugger suggests he'll find his way eventually.

Neto went 2-for-4 with two solo home runs in Friday's win over the Rangers. He was also hit by a pitch.

Neto went yard in the first at-bat of the game for the Angels, and he later added his second homer in the bottom of the eighth off reliever Chris Martin. Neto is well on pace to hit at least 20 homers for a third straight season, and while he's hitting just .221 on the campaign, his power numbers and overall offensive package compensate for a low batting average. He's hitting .200 but with five homers, nine RBI, 13 runs scored, two stolen bases and a .315 on-base percentage across 20 games since the beginning of May.

DeGrom (3-4) took the loss Friday against the Angels after allowing six runs on six hits and three walks across three innings. He struck out three.

The long ball continues to be an issue for deGrom, as he's now given up 12 homers through 10 starts and 53.2 innings in 2026. It's easy to call this outing the worst of the campaign for the veteran hurler, who's trending in the wrong direction, having allowed four or more runs in three of his last four appearances. With a 6.45 ERA and eight homers allowed over his last four starts, deGrom will be looking to bounce back next week at home against the Astros.

Rodriguez (1-1) earned the win Friday against the Rangers after allowing four runs on seven hits and two walks across 5.2 innings. He struck out five.

Rodriguez was roughed up in his first start of the season, allowing seven runs on seven hits and four walks over 3.2 innings against the Dodgers on May 17, and this qualifies as a bounce-back performance even if he was far from dominant. With 11 earned runs allowed and a 9:6 K:BB through his first 9.1 innings of the campaign, it's risky to trust Rodriguez as a streamer right now. His next start should come on the road against a slumping Tigers offense that ranks dead last in collective OPS since the beginning of May (.598).

Vargas went 1-for-4 with a walk and a stolen base in Friday's 9-4 win over the Giants.

Vargas missed a start due to a minor hand injury, but he looks good to handle third base again moving forward. He had gone 0-for-7 with a walk and three strikeouts over three games in the White Sox's series in Seattle earlier in the week. Vargas is batting .237 with an .848 OPS, 11 home runs, 29 RBI, 35 runs scored and a career-high eight stolen bases over 49 contests this season.

Martin (7-1) allowed four runs on six hits and two walks while striking out seven over 5.2 innings to earn the win over the Giants on Friday.

A nine-run fourth inning by the White Sox bought plenty of breathing room for Martin. He used up some of it over the next two frames, but the Giants never made a real threat to erase the deficit. The four runs allowed were a season high, and this was the first time Martin's given up multiple runs since April 10 versus the Royals. He also fell short of a quality start for just the third time in 10 outings. He has a 2.04 ERA, 1.02 WHIP and 66:12 K:BB through 61.2 innings in what's been an impressive breakout campaign, albeit with few truly challenging matchups on his game log. Martin's next start is projected to be at home versus the Twins.

Springs (3-5) allowed four runs on three hits and three walks while striking out three over 6.1 innings to take the loss versus the Padres on Friday.

Springs was tagged for three home runs in the contest, with Ramon Laureano's solo shot in the seventh being the difference. This was Springs' third straight loss, and he's allowed nine runs (eight earned) over 17.1 innings in that span. For the season, he has a 4.11 ERA, 1.17 WHIP and 50:19 K:BB through 61.1 innings across 11 starts. Springs was sharp to start the year, but all 11 homers he's allowed have come over his last seven games, a span in which he's gone 0-5. He'll try to right the ship in his next start, which is projected to come at home versus the Mariners.

O'Hoppe was removed from Friday's game against the Rangers with an apparent head injury, Jeff Fletcher of The Orange County Register reports.

The 26-year-old backstop was slow to his feet after he collided with Josh Jung on a play at the plate in the seventh inning. O'Hoppe remained in the game for his at-bat in the bottom of the frame but was replaced behind the dish when the Angels took the field for the eighth. He said after the game that he feels fine, per Fletcher, but the Angels will put him through concussion protocol as a precaution. Sebastian Rivero would take over as the Halos' primary catcher if O'Hoppe ends up needing a move to the injured list.

Martin went 2-for-5 with a home run and two RBI in Friday's 8-6 win over the Red Sox.

Martin came up clutch with what proved to be the game-winning two-run blast in the top of the seventh inning. It was a much-needed swing for the 27-year-old, who entered the contest in an 0-for-14 slump over his past five contests. For the year, he's slashing a solid .297/.413/.398 with two homers, 13 RBI, 17 runs scored and seven steals across 155 plate appearances.

Buxton went 2-for-5 with a home run and three RBI in Friday's 8-6 win over the Red Sox.

Buxton delivered an RBI single in the second inning before launching a two-run blast in the seventh. Despite missing five straight games recently with a sore hip flexor, the 32-year-old has now tallied eight homers and 15 RBI through 14 May contests. For the year, he's slashing .264/.322/.588 with 16 long balls, 26 RBI, 35 runs scored and four steals across 199 plate appearances.
