  • Twins' Emmanuel Rodriguez: Set to rejoin Triple-A lineup

Triple-A St. Paul reinstated Rodriguez (thumb) from the 60-day injured list Monday, Theodore Tollefson of ZoneCoverage.com reports. Rodriguez is poised to return to the St. Paul lineup Tuesday for what will be his first appearance at the Triple-A level since May 1, as he's been shelved for more than three months while recovering from left thumb surgery. The 23-year-old outfielder proved his health in an extended rehab assignment between the Single-A and High-A levels, during which he slashed .267/.421/.367 with two extra-base hits and seven walks over nine games.

  • Twins' Emmanuel Rodriguez: Resumes rehab assignment

Rodriguez (thumb) has gone 6-for-19 with a double, seven walks, three RBI and one run in six games for High-A Cedar Rapids since resuming his rehab assignment Tuesday. Rodriguez remains on Triple-A St. Paul's 60-day injured list while he makes his way back from the surgery he underwent on his left thumb in late May, but he looks to be closing in on a return to International League action. The 23-year-old outfielder experienced soreness in his thumb coming out of a July 30 rehab game at Single-A Fort Myers, but he was cleared to return to action with Cedar Rapids after four days of rest and recovery.

  • Twins' Emmanuel Rodriguez: Aggravates thumb injury on rehab

Rodriguez was scratched from the lineup for his rehab game Sunday at High-A Cedar Rapids due to soreness in his surgically repaired right thumb, Bobby Nightengale of The Minnesota Star Tribune reports. Rodriguez has been on Triple-A St. Paul's injured list since May 6 due to the thumb injury but appeared to be on the cusp of returning to action for the Twins' top affiliate after kicking off a rehab assignment at Single-A Fort Myers early last week. He appeared in three games in the Florida State League before shifting his assignment to Cedar Rapids on Friday, but he's still waiting to appear for the Twins' Midwest League affiliate while he waits for the soreness in his thumb to subside. The Twins are viewing the outfielder as day-to-day.

Rodriguez (thumb) will begin a rehab assignment with Low-A Fort Myers on Tuesday, Theodore Tollefson of ZoneCoverage.com reports. Rodriguez has finally been cleared to play in games following surgery in late May to repair the UCL in his left thumb. The 23-year-old has been highly productive for Triple-A St. Paul this season when on the field, slashing .247/.417/.506 with six long balls in 25 games. Rodriguez could push to debut before the end of the 2026 campaign if he's able to stay healthy, but that's a big "if," given his track record.

  • Twins' Emmanuel Rodriguez: Needs surgery to repair thumb

Rodriguez needs surgery to repair UCL damage in his left thumb, Dan Hayes of The Athletic reports. Rodriguez previously had surgery on his right thumb for an injury that cost him much of the 2024 season, and he dealt with a left thumb issue for part of the 2025 season. It's yet another injury concern for Rodriguez, who has yet to play 100 games in a minor-league season due to various injury problems.

  • Twins' Emmanuel Rodriguez: Not yet swinging bat

The Twins announced Saturday that Rodriguez is still experiencing some discomfort in his strained left thumb and has yet to resume swinging a bat, Rodriguez had slashed .247/.417/.506 with six home runs and three stolen bases over 25 games for Triple-A St. Paul to begin the season before suffering the thumb injury May 1 on a headfirst slide into first base. The Twins won't clear him to swing the bat until he's free of symptoms of the thumb injury, so Rodriguez would still appear to be at the week-to-week stage of his recovery process.

  • Twins' Emmanuel Rodriguez: Day-to-day at Triple-A

Rodriguez is considered day-to-day with a muscle strain in his thumb but could return to the Triple-A St. Paul lineup within a few days, Theodore Tollefson of ZoneCoverage.com reports. He took batting practice over the weekend, which bodes well for his chances of avoiding an extended absence. Rodriguez, who left St. Paul's game May 1 with the injury, had a right thumb sprain in 2024 that only cost him a week of action, although he has missed significant time due to various ailments throughout his career. He is slashing .247/.417/.506 with six home runs and three steals in 25 games, and as a member of the Twins' 40-man roster, Rodriguez could get the call to the majors at any point once he's healthy.
