  • Mariners' Luke Raley: Homers in consecutive games

Raley went 2-for-3 with a solo home run and a hit-by-pitch in Saturday's 5-1 win over the Diamondbacks. Raley has homered in back-to-back contests and has three long balls over his last five games. The outfielder is hitting .279 with a .930 OPS, 13 homers, 31 RBI, 22 runs scored, one stolen base, five doubles and a triple across 53 contests. He continues to work in a strong-side platoon role in right field, sharing the position with Victor Robles.

  • Mariners' Luke Raley: Idle against southpaw

Raley is out of the lineup for Wednesday's game against the Athletics. The Mariners will keep Raley and fellow left-handed hitter Dominic Canzone on the bench for the second game in a row while the Athletics send another lefty starter (Jeffrey Springs) to the hill. Seattle will go with Randy Arozarena as its designated hitter and Rob Refsnyder, Julio Rodriguez and Victor Robles as its starting outfield trio for the series finale in Sacramento.

  • Mariners' Luke Raley: Clubs 11th homer

Raley went 2-for-5 with a two-run home run in Monday's 9-2 victory versus the Athletics. Raley was a key part of Seattle's six-run third inning, as he launched a two-run homer. That was his first long ball since we went deep in back-to-back games May 13 and 14. Raley frequently sits against left-handed starters, which dings his fantasy value to an extent. Still, he's putting up strong numbers overall, slashing .270/.329/.562 with 11 homers, 20 runs, 29 RBI and one stolen base through 150 plate appearances.

  • Mariners' Luke Raley: On bench versus southpaw

Raley is not in the lineup Tuesday versus the White Sox. The White Sox have southpaw Anthony Kay starting Tuesday, so the left-handed bat of Raley will begin the game from the bench. Connor Joe has the start in right field and is batting sixth.

  • Mariners' Luke Raley: Power surge continues in win

Raley went 2-for-5 with a three-run home run and an additional run scored in Thursday's 8-3 win over Houston. The 31-year-old outfielder is surging in the power department, crushing five homers in his last eight games. Raley has firmly worked himself onto fantasy radars, slashing .300/.364/.657 with seven big flies, two doubles, one triple and 20 RBI over his last 26 contests (78 plate appearances) to raise his season OPS to .922. However, the left-handed-hitting Raley has taken a mere four at-bats versus southpaws this year, limiting his volume potential and upside.

  • Mariners' Luke Raley: Powers offense in win

Raley went 2-for-5 with two home runs and seven RBI during Friday's 12-8 victory over the White Sox. After striking out in his first at-bat, Raley took advantage of his bases-loaded opportunity in the third and hit a grand slam off starter Sean Burke to give Seattle a 5-1 lead. The Sox caught up within half an inning, but Raley's three-run homer off Tyler Davis in the seventh put the M's ahead 9-5 and ensured Chicago would trail for the rest of the game. Now with eight homers on the season, Raley has surpassed Cal Raleigh to claim the highest total on the team.

  • Mariners' Luke Raley: Taking seat against southpaw

Raley is out of the lineup for Sunday's game against the Royals. With the Mariners facing off against a lefty starter (Kris Bubic) for the second time in the series, the left-handed-hitting Raley will once again exit the starting nine. Connor Joe will replace Raley in right field and will bat seventh.

  • Mariners' Luke Raley: Idle for series finale

Raley is out of the lineup for Sunday's game against the Rangers. After a stretch of nine consecutive starts, the left-handed-hitting Raley will hit the bench Sunday while southpaw MacKenzie Gore toes the rubber for Texas. With Raley sitting, Rob Refsnyder will enter the starting nine in right field and will bat leadoff.

  • Mariners' Luke Raley: Homers in win

Raley went 1-for-3 with a solo home run, a walk and two additional runs scored in Saturday's 7-3 win over the Rangers. Raley scored a season-high three runs, highlighted by a solo homer in the sixth inning. It continued a torrid start to the season for the 31-year-old, who's now slashing .318/.375/.636 with 10 extra-base hits, 13 RBI and 11 runs scored across 72 plate appearances while starting exclusively against right-handed pitching.

  • Mariners' Luke Raley: Remaining in platoon

Raley is out of the lineup for Tuesday's game against the Yankees. Yankees lefty Max Fried is the third southpaw starter the Mariners have faced this season, and Raley has come off the bench in each game. Raley has a four-game hit streak to begin the campaign and has gone 4-for-14 with three homers and six RBI. Victor Robles is starting in right field and batting seventh Tuesday.

  • Mariners' Luke Raley: Remains red hot to begin season

Raley went 1-for-1 with a two-run home run Saturday in the Mariners' 6-5 extra-inning loss to the Guardians. Raley didn't start the contest, but he was summoned off the bench in the 10th inning. The veteran hitter came through with a two-run blast to center field to bring the Guardians within a run of tying the score. Raley has exactly one hit in each of his first three games this season, and each of his knocks has left the park. He already has three long balls and five RBI across nine plate appearances in 2026 after managing just four home runs and 19 runs batted over 219 regular-season plate appearances last season.

  • Mariners' Luke Raley: Goes yard again Friday

Raley went 1-for-4 with a two-run home run in Friday's 5-1 win over the Guardians. Raley provided some insurance in the sixth inning with his second homer in as many games to begin the year. He went deep just four times in 219 plate appearances during the 2025 regular season, adding a .630 OPS, though he had 22 homers over 455 plate appearances in 2024. Playing time will be crucial for Raley's success, and he has the early edge for at least a strong-side platoon role in right field. Victor Robles and Rob Refsnyder are in the mix to see the majority of the time versus lefties.

  • Mariners' Luke Raley: Strong start to spring

Raley has gone 5-for-10 with a double and a home run through five Cactus League games. It's been a nice start to the spring for Raley, who launched a 439-foot homer of Padres' left-hander JP Sears on Saturday. Raley should see regular at-bats against right-handed pitching to open the season while platooning with Rob Refsnyder in a corne-outfield spot. Injuries limited Raley to 219 plate appearances in 2025, where he slashed just .202/.319/.311 with four homers. However, Raley posted an .803 OPS over his previous two campaigns (255 games overall) with 41 home runs in that span.

  • Mariners' Luke Raley: Expected to start versus righties

Mariners general manager Justin Hollander said Sunday that he expects Raley to start against most right-hander this season, Adam Jude of the Seattle Times reports. Hollander does not anticipate a "hardcore platoon" in right field and designated hitter, but as a "baseline," he expects left-handed hitters Raley and Dominic Canzone to play against most righties and right-handed hitters Victor Robles and Rob Refsnyder to start versus most lefties. Raley collected a disappointing .202/.319/.311 batting line during the 2025 regular season, but he slashed .242/.333/.453 versus right-handers.

  • Mariners' Luke Raley: Back in action Friday

Raley (side) will start at first base and bat ninth in Friday's game versus Atlanta. Raley departed Wednesday's game against the Rays with tightness in his side, but he's feeling well enough to play Friday following the Mariners' off day Thursday. Josh Naylor will begin Friday's festivities on the bench.

  • Mariners' Luke Raley: Lifted with side tightness

Raley was removed from Wednesday's game against the Rays due to tightness in his side, Ryan Divish of The Seattle Times reports. The 30-year-old entered Wednesday's game in the fourth inning for Josh Naylor, but Raley was later taken out of the game himself in the seventh after going 0-for-2 with a strikeout. The Mariners are calling his removal precautionary, however, and he'll receive an additional day to recover before Seattle begins its next series in Atlanta on Friday thanks to Thursday's team day off.

  • Mariners' Luke Raley: Comes off IL

The Mariners reinstated Raley (back) from the 10-day injured list Friday. After going 4-for-16 with two homers in four minor-league rehab games, Raley has been given the green light to join the active roster Friday. The 30-year-old has been on the shelf since July 25 due to back spasms. Miles Mastrobuoni was optioned to Triple-A Tacoma in a corresponding move. Raley had been seeing regular playing time at first base before sustaining the injury, but the arrival of Josh Naylor likely means Raley will be relegated to a reserve role.

  • Mariners' Luke Raley: Cleared for rehab assignment

Raley (back) will begin a rehab assignment with Triple-A Tacoma on Friday, Shannon Drayer of SeattleSports.com reports. Raley landed on the 10-day injured list in late July due to back spasms. He started his hitting progression Tuesday, and he's progressed enough in his recovery to embark on a rehab assignment. Raley may need only a weekend stint with Tacoma before being cleared to return to the majors.

  • Mariners' Luke Raley: Back to hitting

Raley (back) will begin a hitting progression Tuesday, Ryan Divish of The Seattle Times reports. Back spasms have kept Raley out of action since July 25, though he wasn't officially placed on the IL until July 30. Assuming his return to hitting goes smoothly, the plan is for him to begin a rehab assignment in the minors over the weekend before returning sometime next week.

  • Mariners' Luke Raley: On bench against righty

Raley is out of the lineup for Thursday's game against the Twins. The left-handed-hitting Raley had started in each of the Mariners' last three games, but for the second time since he was activated from the injured list last Friday, he'll take a seat against a right-handed starting pitcher (Simeon Woods Richardson). Raley still appears likely to see the lion's share of playing time at first base versus righties after the Mariners recently cut Rowdy Tellez, but the hot-hitting Donovan Solano -- who has largely served as a short-side platoon player this season -- has made a strong case of late for earning more opportunities. Solano will get the nod at first base Thursday after slashing .485/.514/.788 with three home runs and 13 RBI over his last 10 games.
