Cameron Booser RP | TB
Red Sox's Cam Booser: Heading back to minors
The Red Sox optioned Booser to Triple-A Worcester on Monday, Gabrielle Starr of the Boston Herald reports.
Booser tossed two scoreless innings in his lone relief after being recalled last week. The Red Sox have not announced a corresponding move, but the newly acquired Trey Wingenter could be added to the roster prior to Tuesday's contest versus the Athletics.

Luis Robert CF | BAL
White Sox's Luis Robert: Receiving maintenance day
Robert is out of the lineup for Monday's game against the Twins.
Robert had started in each of the White Sox's previous 12 games, and with no word that he sustained any sort of injury in Sunday's 7-4 loss to the Marlins, he's most likely just getting a needed maintenance day Monday. With Robert on the bench, the White Sox will roll out a starting outfield of Andrew Benintendi, Tommy Pham and Gavin Sheets from left to right.

Korey Lee C | CHW
White Sox's Korey Lee: Taking seat Monday
Lee is out of the lineup for Monday's game against the Twins.
Martin Maldonado will get the call behind the plate in the series opener with Minnesota while Lee rests after starting at catcher both of the previous two days. Expect Lee to rejoin the lineup Tuesday.

Justyn-Henry Malloy 3B | TB
Tigers' Justyn-Henry Malloy: Sitting in second straight
Malloy is out of the lineup for Monday's game against the Guardians.
Malloy will take a seat for the second day in a row against a right-handed pitcher (Gavin Williams) while the Tigers roll with Mark Canha as their designated hitter. Though his usage of late hasn't been encouraging, Malloy has performed passably since getting the call to the big leagues June 3. Through his first 27 MLB games, Malloy is hitting just .195 with a 36 percent strikeout rate, though he's provided some pop (four home runs, two doubles) and is walking in 10.1 percent of his plate appearances. He'll likely see his playing time dip when the Tigers are at full strength, but unless his production drops further, Malloy should at least have a semi-regular spot in the lineup until Detroit gets Kerry Carpenter (back) and/or Parker Meadows (hamstring) back from the injured list.

Emerson Hancock SP | SEA
Mariners' Emerson Hancock: Optioned after spot start
The Mariners optioned Hancock to Triple-A Tacoma on Monday.
Hancock was called up from Tacoma to make a spot start in Saturday's loss to the Blue Jays, giving up two runs on six hits and one walk over four innings. With Bryan Woo (hamstring) set to return from the 15-day injured list week, Hancock is headed back to Tacoma to rejoin its rotation.

Gregory Santos RP | SF
Mariners' Gregory Santos: Comes off 60-day IL
The Mariners activated Santos (lat) from the 60-day injured list Monday.
Santos has been sidelined all season while recovering from a right lat strain. He made just two rehab appearances, striking out a pair of two scoreless frames. Santos reportedly reached 99 miles per hour on the radar gun in Saturday's outing with High-A Everett, helping to convince the Mariners that he was ready to go. The 24-year-old should eventually find himself in high-leverage situations for Seattle, but he could be eased into such spots. Santos will be making his Mariners debut when he gets into a game after being acquired via trade from the White Sox over the offseason.

Carson Kelly C | CHC
Tigers' Carson Kelly: Sitting again Monday
Kelly is out of the lineup for Monday's game against the Guardians.
The playing time at catcher had been swinging in Kelly's favor lately, but he'll end up hitting the bench for a second straight day Monday. Tigers manager A.J. Hinch may have just wanted to reward Jake Rogers with another turn behind the dish after Rogers reached base twice, recorded his first steal of the season and scored twice in Sunday's 5-1 win over the Reds.
-
Matt Vierling CF | DET
Tigers' Matt Vierling: Taking seat Monday
Vierling is out of the lineup for Monday's game against the Guardians.
Vierling started each of the past five days after recently moving past a sore left foot, so he's likely just getting a maintenance day as the Tigers begin a four-game set with the Guardians. The 27-year-old had been splitting time between third base and the outfield of late, but he'll likely see most of his reps in the outfield for the foreseeable future after Parker Meadows (hamstring) was placed on the 10-day injured list Monday.
-
Akil Baddoo LF | MIL
Tigers' Akil Baddoo: Called up, starting Monday
The Tigers recalled Baddoo from Triple-A Toledo on Monday. He'll start in left field and bat eighth in the Tigers' series opener versus the Guardians.
Baddoo returns to Detroit's 26-man active roster as a replacement for Austin Meadows (hamstring), who was placed on the 10-day injured list in a corresponding move. Though Meadows had been operating as an everyday player for the brief time he was up with the big club, Baddoo projects to serve as a fourth outfielder behind primary starters Riley Greene, Wenceel Perez and Matt Vierling. Baddoo will crack the lineup Monday, however, while Vierling gets a day off.

Ryan Kreidler SS | MIN
Tigers' Ryan Kreidler: Returns to Triple-A
The Tigers optioned Kreidler to Triple-A Toledo on Monday.
Javier Baez (back) was reinstated from the 10-day injured list, so Kreidler will head back to Triple-A since his playing time was about to dry up. Kreidler should receive everyday reps at a variety of positions at Toledo. He hit .125 with one home run and two stolen bases over 40 at-bats with the Tigers following his June 11 promotion.
