Imaging done on Marsh's right shoulder Tuesday was inconclusive, so he'll head back to Kansas City for further evaluation, Anne Rogers of MLB.com reports.

Marsh has been shut down from throwing since April 5 after suffering a setback in his shoulder, and he'll now have to wait a bit longer before receiving a verdict on whether he can resume his rehab program. If his next round of testing delivers promising results, the Royals aim to have him throwing again sometime this weekend.

The Yankees optioned Vivas to Triple-A Scranton/Wilkes-Barre following Wednesday's 5-1 win over the Guardians.

Vivas was added the Yankees' 26-man roster Monday to take the spot vacated by Trent Grisham (paternity). Vivas didn't appear in any of the Yankees' three games against the Guardians and will return to Triple-A, where he's slashing .342/.432/.493 with four stolen bases, 12 runs scored, two home runs and 14 RBI in 88 plate appearances.

The Angels optioned Darrell-Hicks to Triple-A Salt Lake on Wednesday.

After joining the big-league squad April 11, Darrell-Hicks gave up five earned runs across 6.2 innings while striking out four batters and walking four. His poor performance will result in him heading back to the minors, though he hasn't exactly stood out in Triple-A either (9.45 ERA and 1.61 WHIP through 6.2 IP). Victor Mederos was recalled from High-A Tri-City in a corresponding move.

Sosa is out of the lineup for Wednesday's game against the Twins.

Thanks to Josh Rojas (toe) being on the shelf all season, Sosa has taken hold of a near-everyday role in the White Sox infield, starting in 20 of the team's first 23 games. Sosa will take a seat Wednesday for just the fourth time in 2025, and unless he's used off the bench, he'll put his season-long eight-game hit streak on hold.

The Angels recalled Mederos from High-A Tri-City on Wednesday.

The Angels sent Mederos all the way down to High-A after he failed to make the big-league roster out of spring training. He has since turned in a 3.52 ERA and 1.32 WHIP with a 14:3 K:BB across 15.1 innings and will now get another look in the majors. Given the fact he's allowed 10 earned runs in just 8.1 innings during his MLB career, he'll almost certainly be limited to low-leverage situations while with the Halos.

O'Hoppe is not in the Angels' starting lineup against the Pirates on Wednesday, Rhett Bollinger of MLB.com reports.

O'Hoppe will get an off day while Travis d'Arnaud starts behind home plate and bats fifth against Pirates southpaw Andrew Heaney. O'Hoppe has started the season slashing .284/.304/.522 with eight runs scored, five home runs and nine RBI in 69 plate appearances.

The Angles designated Anderson for assignment Wednesday.

Anderson was acquired by the Angels in March in a trade with Atlanta. He's given up at least three earned runs in three of his seven outings with the Angels this season and has an 11.57 ERA and 2.57 WHIP across 9.1 innings. Anderson will report to Triple-A Salt Lake if he does not get claimed off waivers.

The Angels selected Edwards' contract from Triple-A Salt Lake on Wednesday.

The 33-year-old righty will join the active roster to replace Ian Anderson, who was designated for assignment Wednesday. Edwards has been a strong bullpen option for Salt Lake this year, logging a 1.54 ERA through 11.2 innings alongside a 13:3 K:BB. He'll likely be used in middle relief while with the Angels, and he's also capable of working multiple innings out of the bullpen.

Rengifo (mouth) is starting at third base and batting seventh against the Pirates on Wednesday, Rhett Bollinger of MLB.com reports.

Rengifo was not in the Halos' starting lineup for Tuesday's game after getting a root canal, though he did come in to pinch hit in the eighth inning. He's back in the lineup for the third game of the series and will face off against Pirates southpaw Andrew Heaney. Rengifo has started the year slashing .215/.250/.316 with eight runs scored, one home run and seven RBI in 84 plate appearances.

Maton is out of the lineup for Wednesday's game against the Twins.

Maton has been a mainstay in the lineup against right-handed pitching for most of the season, but he'll hit the bench Wednesday even while the Twins send rightyDavid Festa to the hill. Since popping a pair of home runs in his first five games of the season, Maton has struggled to a .154/.267/.179 slash line over his ensuing 17 contests and has contributed just one extra-base hit. The White Sox could begin to phase him out of the lineup more frequently and instead rotate a number of players at the designated-hitter spot.
