Mahle (5-2) took the loss against the White Sox on Friday, allowing three runs on five hits and three walks while striking out three across five innings.

All three runs charged to Mahle came in the third inning in a span of three plate appearances, capped off by a Luis Robert RBI single to center field. Mahle was able to keep the White Sox off the board otherwise, but he didn't receive enough run support to avoid the loss. It was the first time that the 30-year-old right-hander yielded three runs or more in a start this season, but his 1.80 ERA (across 60 innings) ranks fourth in the majors. Mahle is slated to face the Blue Jays at home next week.

Varland allowed a walk but no hits over a scoreless inning Friday against Kansas City. He has a 2.74 ERA and a 26:6 K:BB in 23 innings with eight holds this season.

Varland moved to the bullpen this spring and has become a key setup man for the Twins. He's on a streak of nine consecutive outings without allowing a run over 7.2 innings. The right-hander struggled last season as a starter in Triple-A with a 4.75 ERA, but he showed promise as a reliever in the majors in 2023 with a 1.50 ERA and a 17:1 K:BB in 12 innings.

MItchell is experiencing lingering soreness in his broken right hamate bone and hasn't played in a game since May 13, MLB.com reports.

Mitchell fractured the hamate bone in his right wrist in February and began to play in extended spring training and then a minor-league rehab assignment in late April. It sounds like this could be a significant setback.

Ragans (groin) has been playing catch and is expected to return from the injured list when eligible June 1, MLB.com reports.

Ragans exited his start May 16 due to left groin tightness, but it sounds like he'll miss the minimum amount of time. He has a 4.53 ERA this season but an excellent 72:13 K:BB in 45.2 innings.

Lugo (finger) has begun to throw off mound with increasing intensity while rehabbing in Kansas City, MLB.com reports.

Lugo is expected to return when eligible from the injured list May 30 as a result. He was placed on the injured list retroactive to May 14 due to right middle finger inflammation.

Correa went 2-for-4 with a solo home run and an additional run scored in Friday's 3-1 win over the Royals.

Correa made an immediate impact in his return from the injured list, smashing his third home run of the year after recovering from a concussion. The 30-year-old infielder is swinging a hot bat over his last 18 outings, during which he's batting .338 (23-for-68) with two homers, two doubles, nine RBI and nine runs scored. Correa may not offer much speed for fantasy managers, but he does present slugging upside at the shortstop position.

Waters started in right field and went 0-for-4 in Friday's 3-1 loss to Minnesota. He's expected to get the most playing time among a rotation in right field after Hunter Renfroe was designated for assignment, Anne Rogers of MLB.com reports.

Despite Friday's performance, Waters has emerged as one of the better options in Kansas City's underperforming outfield. He's hitting .271 with a .702 OPS. Nick Loftin, Mark Canha and Cavan Biggio could also figure into the mix in right field.

Erceg (1-1) took the loss in Friday's 3-1 loss to Minnesota after allowing two runs on two hits in the ninth inning. He struck out one.

Although it was not a save situation in a tie game, Erceg gave up a pair of runs -- on a two-run walk-off homer by Ty France -- in his second straight outing. Because he had surrendered a lone run across his first 21 outings of the campaign, the hard-throwing right-hander still has a strong 2.05 ERA, 0.73 WHIP and 17:3 K:BB through 23 appearances on the season despite his past two performances. Erceg entered Friday with an MLB-high 13 holds, and he should remain one of Kansas City's top setup men behind closer Carlos Estevez.

Judge went 2-for-4 with a solo home run and an additional run scored in Friday's 3-2 loss to the Rockies.

Judge has hit safely in 11 of his last 13 games, adding five homers and 11 RBI in that span. The outfielder's blast Friday briefly gave the Yankees a 2-1 lead in the top of the fifth inning, though the Rockies pulled ahead in their half of the frame. Judge is up to 17 homers, 45 RBI, 47 runs scored, four stolen bases and a superb .398/.487/.754 slash line across 50 games. He is on pace to top the 50-homer mark for the fourth time in his career and the third time in four years.

Abreu (1-2) was charged with the loss and a blown save in Friday's 5-3 loss to Seattle after allowing two runs on three hits and a walk in 1.1 innings. He struck out two.

It was the third blown save of the season for Abreu, who is now 0-for-3 in save situations in 2025. Even so, Friday marked his first time allowing a run since April 9, so the right-hander doesn't appear to be in jeopardy of dropping down Houston's bullpen hierarchy despite this showing. Abreu has been a key setup man behind closer Josh Hader, with the former logging a 1.99 ERA, 1.28 WHIP and 28:12 K:BB over 22.2 innings this year.
