Spence (2-2) took the loss against Cleveland on Saturday, allowing four runs on eight hits and one walk while striking out three batters over 4.2 innings.

Spence's downfall was the second frame, when he gave up all four of his runs and six of his eight hits. Outside of that, he notched three 1-2-3 innings and just two singles. The four runs were a season-worst mark for Spence, who came into Saturday having allowed just two runs over 17 frames across his previous four starts. He'll try to get back on track in his next start, which is tentatively scheduled to be a tough road matchup versus the Yankees.

Clase earned a save against the Athletics on Saturday by throwing a perfect ninth inning without striking out a batter.

Clase needed just 12 pitches (eight of which were strikes) to retire the side in order and protect a two-run, ninth-inning lead. The veteran closer was effective despite not notching a strikeout for just the second time over his past nine outings. Clase's 3.58 ERA is well above his career norm, but he's still recorded 17 saves, tied for sixth-most in the majors.

Ortiz (4-8) earned the win over the Athletics on Saturday, allowing two hits and issuing two walks while striking out 10 batters over six scoreless innings.

Ortiz was exceptional during his time in the game, racking up 12 whiffs and tying a season high with 10 punchouts. It was the third time this season he's allowed zero runs in an appearance, and the right-hander notched a victory for just the second time over his past 11 starts. Ortiz came into the game having allowed 10 runs over 10.2 frames across his previous two starts, so Saturday's effort was a nice bounce-back performance. He's slated to take on the Cardinals at home in his next start.

Rengifo went 1-for-4 with a two-run home run in Saturday's 9-1 win over the Astros.

Rengifo opened the scoring with a second-inning blast, and that would ultimately be all the Angels needed in the win. The light-hitting infielder has tapped into a little more power lately -- three of his four homers this season have come in his last eight games. He's still batting just .220 with a .557 OPS, 17 RBI, 19 runs scored and two stolen bases over 69 contests. Despite his struggles at the plate, Rengifo has maintained a fairly regular spot in the lineup as a utility player.

O'Hoppe went 2-for-4 with two home runs and four RBI in Saturday's 9-1 win over the Astros.

O'Hoppe sat both Thursday and Friday, and it appears that two-game stint on the bench helped him reset. The catcher hadn't posted a multi-hit effort in June prior to Saturday, and he hadn't hit a homer since May 22 versus the Athletics. He's now at a .233/.268/.462 slash line with 16 homers, 35 RBI, 24 runs scored, three doubles and no stolen bases over 63 contests. O'Hoppe is likely to maintain at least half of the playing time behind the dish, though his recent slump has allowed more opportunities for Travis d'Arnaud to check in.

Soriano (5-5) allowed a run on three hits and three walks while striking out 10 over 6.2 innings to earn the win over the Astros on Saturday.

This was Soriano's third straight quality start, and he's allowed just two runs with a 28:6 K:BB over 20.2 innings in that span. He also picked up a win for the first time in four outings in June. Soriano looks to have turned a corner after posting passable numbers for the first two-plus months of the season, especially with his last two outings being dominant performances against division leaders. He's at a 3.39 ERA, 1.42 WHIP and 80:43 K:BB across 93 innings over 16 starts. The right-hander's next start is projected to be a favorable home matchup against the Nationals.

Walter (0-1) allowed seven runs on nine hits and a walk while striking out six over six innings, taking the loss Saturday versus the Angels.

Walter had been excellent with a pair of quality starts in his previous two outings, but he didn't have the same success Saturday. He threw 66 of 99 pitches for strikes, but he gave up a pair of two-run home runs that accounted for most of the damage on his line. Even with the poor outing, Walter has a 3.80 ERA, 1.10 WHIP and 25:2 K:BB over 23.2 innings through four MLB starts this year. The 28-year-old showed impressive control with a 49:7 K:BB over 47.2 innings with Triple-A Sugar Land after missing all of 2024 due to a shoulder injury. Walter is tentatively projected for a tough home start versus the Cubs in his next outing, and his place in the rotation is likely safe for as long as both of Lance McCullers (foot) and Spencer Arrighetti (thumb) are on the injured list.

Butler was ejected in the fifth inning of Saturday's game against the Guardians, Martin Gallegos of MLB.com reports.

Butler struck out looking in the fifth and was tossed from Saturday's game for arguing balls and strikes with the home plate umpire. He'll end the night having struck out in all three plate appearances. Denzel Clarke entered the game in center field, with JJ Bleday shifting to right.

Cameron (2-3) allowed two runs on five hits and three walks while striking out two over 5.1 innings to take the loss Saturday versus the Padres.

Cameron allowed a run in each of the second and third innings, but he exited down 2-1 in the sixth. This is just the second time in eight outings he's given up multiple runs, though both of those instances have been in his last three starts. He wasn't going to be purely dominant forever, and there's little reason to be concerned about his performance, though the two strikeouts Saturday matched his season low. The 25-year-old has a 2.08 ERA, 0.97 WHIP and 34:15 K:BB through 47.2 innings over eight starts. Cameron is tentatively projected for a tough home start versus the Dodgers in his next outing.

Legumina recorded the final two outs in Saturday's 10-7 loss to the Cubs, allowing no baserunners and fanning one.

June has been a productive month for Legumina, who now owns a 2.08 ERA and 11:3 K:BB over his last 8.2 innings. It's a much-needed rebound after he gave up a season-high six runs in his final outing of May, and Legumina should continue working primarily as a middle reliever while also seeing occasional high-leverage work when needed.
