Foscue was optioned to Triple-A Round Rock on Saturday.

He was up for a couple weeks while Wyatt Langford (oblique) was on the shelf, but Foscue has logged only six MLB at-bats this season, going 1-for-6 with a double. He'll serve as organizational depth at Triple-A, where the 26-year-old is hitting .259 with 10 homers in 53 games.

Langford (oblique) was activated from the 10-day injured list ahead of Saturday's game against the Padres.

Langford missed less than two weeks with the oblique injury and is batting sixth in his return. He hit .224/.286/.342 with a 29.8 percent strikeout rate in 18 June games and has 13 homers and 11 steals in 67 games this season.

Gil (lat) may be ready to start a minor-league rehab assignment next week, per MLB.com.

Gil threw a live bullpen Thursday, and his next step could be to pitch in a minor-league contest. The right-hander hasn't logged any game action at all this season, as he was diagnosed with a high-grade right lat strain early in spring training. Gil is expected to be built up to 45-to-50 pitches at this point, so he'll likely need to make several rehab starts before he's ready to join New York's rotation.

De Los Santos (elbow) threw 20 pitches in the Citi Field bullpen Saturday, per MLB.com.

De Los Santos landed on the IL on June 19 due to right elbow discomfort, but subsequent testing didn't reveal any structural issues. The righty reliever is now ramping back up and could be closing in on a return. De Los Santos recorded a 1.80 ERA despite a poor 1.70 WHIP and 13:12 K:BB over 20 big-league innings this season prior to getting hurt.

Yarbrough (oblique) has yet to resume throwing, per MLB.com.

Yarbrough has been out of action since June 18 due to a right oblique strain. While he's now eligible to be activated from the IL, it appears the left-hander may need to wait until after the All-Star break to rejoin the Yankees. Manager Aaron Boone did mention Saturday that Yarbrough is "getting over the hump" and may begin throwing soon.

Sanchez was pulled from Saturday's game against Atlanta due to right knee pain, Danielle Allentuck of TheBaltimoreBanner.com reports.

It's unclear how Sanchez injured his knee, but he made an early exit in the fifth inning and is scheduled to undergo an MRI. With Adley Rutschman (oblique), Maverick Handley (concussion) and Chadwick Tromp (back) all on the injured list, Jacob Stallings would benefit from additional playing time if Sanchez has to miss a few starts.

Meyers isn't in the lineup for Saturday's game against the Dodgers.

Meyers went 3-for-5 with three runs scored during Friday's 18-1 rout of the Dodgers, giving him six hits in his last three games. He'll get a chance to rest Saturday while Mauricio Dubon starts in center field, giving Zack Short a chance to start at shortstop.

Dingler isn't in the lineup for Saturday's game against the Guardians.

After going 2-for-4 in Friday's series opener, Dingler will retreat to the bench Saturday while Jake Rogers catches for Casey Mize and bats ninth.

The Astros optioned Alexander to Triple-A Sugar Land on Saturday, Matt Kawahara of the Houston Chronicle reports.

Alexander worked three scoreless innings Friday against the Dodgers to pick up the first save of his MLB career, but he'll be sent back to Triple-A to free a spot in the bullpen for the newly signed Hector Neris. Alexander's 1.72 ERA and 1.34 WHIP in the minors this season, haven't quite translated into big-league success, as he's given up 14 earned runs over 15 innings between the Astros and Athletics.

The Yankees are expected to call up Schlittler from Triple-A Scranton/Wilkes-Barre to start either Tuesday or Wednesday against the Mariners in New York, Joel Sherman of the New York Post reports.

With Clarke Schmidt (forearm) likely destined for season-ending Tommy John surgery, the Yankees will turn to one of their top pitching prospects to fill the hole in their starting rotation. Schlittler, 24, owns a 3.80 ERA and 1.25 WHIP through five starts (23.2 innings) at Triple-A, though nearly all of the damage done against him came during his most recent outing Tuesday, when he allowed seven runs (six earned) in 2.1 innings.
