Stallings is out of the lineup for Monday's game against the Guardians.

Since the second week of July, Stallings had been seeing the bulk of the starts behind the plate for the Orioles, but he'll give way to Alex Jackson for the second day in a row. Baltimore may just be rewarding Jackson with another start after he provided a solo home run in Sunday's 5-3 win over the Rays.

The Tigers plan to call up Melton from Triple-A Toledo to start Wednesday's game against the Pirates at PNC Park, Chris McCosky of The Detroit News reports.

The upcoming move to the big leagues will represent the third stop of the season for the 25-year-old righty, who has produced a 2.99 ERA, 1.23 WHIP and 101:20 K:BB over 75.1 innings between Toledo and Double-A Erie. Melton won't be guaranteed any starts beyond Wednesday, but a strong showing against a reeling Pirates squad could might be enough for him to stick around as the fifth member of the rotation over Keider Montero and Sawyer Gipson-Long (neck).

The Rangers optioned Osuna to Triple-A Round Rock on Monday.

Osuna had started in just three of the Rangers' last 12 games, and since he's still a prospect of some repute, the organization likely sent him back to Round Rock so that he can play on an everyday basis. After receiving his first big-league call-up May 25, the 23-year-old outfielder slashed .164/.293/.224 with one home run and three stolen bases across 82 plate appearances for Texas.

The Rangers optioned Foscue to Triple-A Round Rock on Monday.

Foscue made one start during his brief stint in the majors and will now head back to Round Rock. He is just 3-for-51 at the plate during his time with the big club dating back to the start of last season.

The Rangers placed Martin on the 15-day injured list Monday with a left calf strain.

Martin suffered the injury during an appearance Sunday against the Tigers. He will be eligible for activation Aug. 5, but it's too soon to know whether he will have a chance to be ready to return on that date.

The Rangers recalled Winn from Triple-A Round Rock on Monday.

Winn has managed a 1.59 ERA in 17 relief innings with the big club this season, but a 11:8 K:BB suggests he's been fortunate. The right-hander will be used in low-leverage spots.

The Rangers recalled Helman from Triple-A Round Rock on Monday. He'll start in center field and bat leadoff in the Rangers' series opener versus the Athletics.

Helman will join the 26-man active roster as a replacement for outfielder Alejandro Osuna, who was optioned to Triple-A in a corresponding move. A 29-year-old utility player, Helman previously appeared in five games with the Rangers this season and went 0-for-4 with two walks, two runs and one steal in six plate appearances. Though he'll occupy a prominent spot in the lineup Monday versus Athletics southpaw Jacob Lopez, the right-handed-hitting Helman may see infrequent opportunities against right-handed pitching while he's up with Texas.

The Rangers recalled Jung from Triple-A Round Rock on Monday. He'll start at third base and bat eighth in the Rangers' series opener versus the Athletics.

Jung posted a weak .635 OPS at Round Rock after being sent down earlier this month, though he had slugged home runs in two of his last three games. He should get another chance to be the Rangers' primary third baseman, with Josh Smith shifting over to first base and Rowdy Tellez being used at designated hitter. Jung has slashed a disappointing .237/.283/.366 in the majors this season.

Blue Jays manager John Schneider said Monday that Santander (shoulder) isn't expected to resume swinging a bat for at least a couple more weeks, Ben Nicholson-Smith of Sportsnet.ca reports.

Schneider noted that he's hopeful Santander will play again this season, but the 30-year-old clearly hasn't progressed as well as the Blue Jays had hoped since he was placed on the injured list May 30 due to left shoulder inflammation. Even if Santander is cleared to ramp up his hitting progression within the next few weeks, he's still likely to require an extended minor-league rehab assignment after that. With that in mind, a mid-to-late-August return may represent a best-case scenario for Santander, and the uncertainty of his timeline makes him difficult to warrant stashing in most redraft leagues that have limited injured reserve spots.

Clarke (hip) is not in the lineup for Monday's contest versus the Rangers.

Clarke had to be pulled from Sunday's game against the Guardians due to right hip discomfort. He is considered day-to-day. Lawrence Butler will slide over to center field for the Athletics on Monday, while Miguel Andujar will receive a start in right field.
