Blue Jays manager John Schneider said Monday that Santander (shoulder) isn't expected to resume swinging a bat for at least a couple more weeks, Ben Nicholson-Smith of Sportsnet.ca reports.

Schneider noted that he's hopeful Santander will play again this season, but the 30-year-old clearly hasn't progressed as well as the Blue Jays had hoped since he was placed on the injured list May 30 due to left shoulder inflammation. Even if Santander is cleared to ramp up his hitting progression within the next few weeks, he's still likely to require an extended minor-league rehab assignment after that. With that in mind, a mid-to-late-August return may represent a best-case scenario for Santander, and the uncertainty of his timeline makes him difficult to warrant stashing in most redraft leagues that have limited injured reserve spots.

Clarke (hip) is not in the lineup for Monday's contest versus the Rangers.

Clarke had to be pulled from Sunday's game against the Guardians due to right hip discomfort. He is considered day-to-day. Lawrence Butler will slide over to center field for the Athletics on Monday, while Miguel Andujar will receive a start in right field.

Rice is absent from the lineup for Monday's game in Toronto.

Rice had started each of the last four games against right-handed pitching, but he'll begin Monday's contest on the bench as the Blue Jays send righty Kevin Gausman to the hill. The Yankees will go with Paul Goldschmidt at first base, Austin Wells at catcher and Giancarlo Stanton at designated hitter.

Bellinger is not in the lineup for Monday's game in Toronto.

Bellinger will receive a rare day off after he had been included in the lineup for each of the Yankees' previous 19 tilts. Jasson Dominguez and Trent Grisham will join Aaron Judge in the outfield as the Yankees open an important series against the Blue Jays.

The Angels optioned Campero to Triple-A Salt Lake on Monday.

Campero's most recent stint with the big club lasted a month, but he played sparingly with only six starts over that time. He's clearing out to make room on the active roster for Chris Taylor's (hand) return from the 10-day injured list.

The Angels activated Taylor (hand) from the 10-day injured list Monday.

Taylor has been shelved since early June after suffering a fractured left hand, but he's ready to roll after a brief rehab stint. The veteran utility player could see some action at second base while Christian Moore (thumb) is on the IL.

The Mariners selected Garcia's contract from Triple-A Tacoma on Monday.

Garcia has been used as a full-time reliever this season between Double-A Arkansas and Tacoma, producing a 3.51 ERA and 42:17 K:BB over 33.1 frames between the two stops. The lefty has the stuff to be a late-inning weapon for the Mariners in time, but he's likely to be used in low-leverage spots initially. Garcia will be making his major-league debut when he gets into a game.

Perez is out of the lineup for Monday's game against the Pirates, Evan Woodbery of MLive.com reports.

He will cede his usual spot in right field to Zach McKinstry, who will occupy the position while Colt Keith covers third base. Perez had started in each of the Tigers' three games over the weekend against the Rangers, going 2-for-10 with a walk and a run.

The Mariners optioned Burgos to Triple-A Tacoma on Monday.

Burgos did a fine job in his first four major-league relief appearances, yielding three runs with an 8:2 K:BB over 6.2 innings. His spot on the 26-man active roster and in the bullpen is being absorbed by lefty Brandyn Garcia, who was called up from Tacoma.

Baez (shoulder) is out of the lineup for Monday's game against the Pirates, Evan Woodbery of MLive.com reports.

Baez will get at least one day off after he experienced a flareup of the left shoulder injury he initially suffered in a June 14 game against the Reds during Sunday's 2-1 win over the Rangers. Though he's been able to get by with receiving regular treatment since sustaining the injury more than a month ago, Baez went 0-for-2 with a pair of strikeouts before the soreness in his shoulder proved to be too much for him to stay in Sunday's game. For his part, the three-time All-Star doesn't believe he'll require a stint on the injured list, but he'll likely need to make notable progress within the next few days to avoid being deactivated.
