Langevin (lat) recorded three strikeouts in a scoreless inning Sunday against Single-A Peoria.

Langevin was placed on the 60-day injured list in April due to a right lat strain, and he was officially activated July 15. His first taste of Single-A action this season came Sunday, and he certainly didn't disappoint.

Pena (ribs) is expected to face live pitching in the coming days, Matt Kawahara of the Houston Chronicle reports.

Pena has already taken on-field batting practice as a part of his ramp-up in Florida, and he's now set to face real pitching "in the next few days," according to manager Joe Espada. The shortstop has been sidelined since late June while dealing with a small rib fracture, but facing live pitching is a substantial step towards returning to action.

Alvarez (hand) was cleared to begin hitting off slow toss Monday, Brian McTaggart of MLB.com reports.

Alvarez was given the green light to resume swinging a bat Friday and took another step in the right direction Monday by swinging against slow toss. He's expected to take some cuts again Tuesday, per Chandler Rome of The Athletic. The team has yet to provide an exact timetable for Alvarez's return, but it seems the slugger will continue to make his way through a hitting progression and could return at some point during the current road trip in the DH slot if all goes according to plan.

Frazier is out of the lineup for Monday's game against the Cubs.

Since being acquired from the Pirates over the All-Star break, Frazier has started in just one of the Royals' four games to begin the second half. Though his playing-time outlook was expected to improve with the move to Kansas City, Frazier may end up taking a back seat to both John Rave and Nick Loftin when it comes to picking up starts in the corner outfield or at second base.

Mariners general manager Justin Hollander said Monday that Miller (elbow) will throw another live batting practice session Friday before beginning a rehab assignment, Tim Booth of The Seattle Times reports.

Miller came out of a live BP session Saturday with no issues but will need to face hitters once more before being cleared for rehab games. He's been sidelined since early June with right elbow inflammation and could require at least a couple rehab starts before rejoining the Mariners' rotation.

Palacios (knee) is headed to Triple-A Durham to resume his rehab assignment, Ryan Bass of FanDuel Sports Network Sun reports.

Palacios has been sidelined since late April with a sprained right knee, having been pulled off his initial rehab assignment in late June following a setback. He's been cleared for game action again and will take reps in the outfield and at second base with Durham, per Rays manager Kevin Cash. It's not clear how many rehab contests Palacios might need before returning to the Rays' active roster.

Tellez is out of the lineup for Monday's game against the Athletics.

With the Rangers facing a lefty starter (Jacob Lopez) for the second straight game, the left-handed-hitting Tellez will retreat to the bench. Until Jake Burger (quadriceps) returns from the injured list, Tellez could be in store for at least a semi-regular spot in the lineup against right-handed pitching at either first base or designated hitter.

Carter is out of the lineup for Monday's game against the Athletics.

The Rangers are facing a lefty starter (Jacob Lopez) on Monday, so the left-handed-hitting Carter will remain on the bench for a second day in a row after sitting against the Detroit ace Tarik Skubal in Sunday's 2-1 loss. The newly recalled Michael Helman will spell Carter in center field in the series opener with the Athletics.

Heim is out of the lineup for Monday's game against the Athletics.

Texas has been opening playing time for both Heim and Kyle Higashioka of late by frequently using one at catcher and one at designated hitter, but the former will be left out of the starting nine Monday while Cody Freeman gets a look at DH. Though Heim should continue to see a fair share of starts moving forward, the Rangers seem to be prioritizing Higashioka a little bit more. Higashioka is in the midst of an eight-game hitting streak and will stick in the lineup for a seventh straight game, while Heim is on the bench for the third time during that stretch.

Diaz is not in the lineup for Monday's game in Arizona.

Diaz will get a breather for Monday's series opener after he started the last three contests. Victor Caratini is catching and batting third for the Astros.
