  • Mariners' Randy Arozarena: Provides lone run in win

Arozarena went 1-for-5 with a solo home run in Saturday's 2-1 extra-inning loss to the Athletics.

Arozarena hit his first homer since Aug. 7 versus the White Sox. He's been a bit spotty at the plate lately, going just 3-for-29 across his last seven games, though two of those knocks have gone for extra bases. On the year, Arozarena is up to a career-high 24 homers with 60 RBI, 75 runs scored, 24 stolen bases and a .238/.338/.443 slash line across 128 games.

  • George Kirby SP | SEA

Mariners' George Kirby: Rebounds with quality start

Kirby allowed one run on four hits and three walks while striking out three over six innings in a no-decision versus the Athletics on Saturday.

Kirby struggled against the Mets in the Little League Classic last weekend, but he rebounded well with a quality start in this outing. His usually impeccable control hasn't been present lately -- Kirby has walked multiple batters in six of his last eight starts, though he's still turned in five quality starts in that span. For the season, he's at a 4.05 ERA, 1.18 WHIP and 97:26 K:BB through 95.2 innings over 17 starts. He's projected to next take the mound in Cleveland.

  • Athletics' Tyler Soderstrom: Snags steal in win

Soderstrom went 0-for-3 with two walks and a stolen base in Saturday's 2-1 extra-inning win over the Mariners.

Soderstrom's 10-game hitting streak came to a close, but it wasn't a totally wasted effort for him. The steal was his first since July 19 versus the Guardians. He's up to seven thefts on nine attempts this season, so don't expect speed to be a huge part of his game down the stretch. Soderstrom has added a strong .271/.347/.477 slash line with 23 home runs, 74 RBI, 65 runs scored, 25 doubles and one triple through 130 contests.

  • Hogan Harris RP | ATH

Athletics' Hogan Harris: Picks up extra-inning save

Harris walked one but didn't allow a hit or a run over two-thirds of an inning to earn the save in Saturday's 2-1 extra-inning win over the Mariners.

Harris' walk loaded the bases with two outs, but he got Randy Arozarena to ground out, ending the threat and preserving the Athletics' lead. This was Harris' second save of the week, and he's on an eight-inning scoreless streak since he was recalled from Triple-A Las Vegas on Aug. 9. On the year, he's had mixed results with a 3.65 ERA, 1.48 WHIP and 52:27 K:BB over 49.1 innings across 36 relief appearances. He's added two saves and a hold, as he appears to be in the mix for saves following the deadline departure of Mason Miller.

  • Athletics' Jeffrey Springs: Fine effort in no-decision

Springs allowed one run on two hits and two walks while striking out three over 5.1 innings in a no-decision versus the Mariners on Saturday.

Springs allowed nine runs over eight innings across his previous two starts, so this was a good bounce-back effort. The southpaw has had Seattle's number all year, allowing just four runs over 22.1 innings across his four games versus the Athletics' division rivals. He threw 47 of 74 pitches for strikes in this outing. Springs has also allowed a home run in six straight starts after giving up a solo shot to Randy Arozarena. On the year, Springs has a 4.15 ERA, 1.18 WHIP and 117:46 K:BB through 145.1 innings across 27 outings (25 starts). He is projected for a home start versus the Rangers in his next outing.

  • Jo Adell RF | LAA

Angels' Jo Adell: Pops 29th homer

Adell went 2-for-4 with a solo home run in Saturday's 12-1 loss to the Cubs.

Adell had the Angels' only multi-hit effort in this contest. The outfielder's career year has him on the cusp of a 30-homer campaign -- he's at 29 long balls now, including eight over 20 games in August. He's added a middling .236/.299/.486 slash line with 79 RBI, 50 runs scored and three stolen bases through 122 contests overall, which has still been enough production to maintain a starting role in the Angels' outfield.

  • Victor Mederos RP | ATL

Angels' Victor Mederos: Lit up in loss Saturday

Mederos (0-2) allowed six runs on four hits and two walks while striking out four over four innings to take the loss versus the Cubs on Saturday.

While Mederos didn't give up an excessive number of baserunners, he paid severely for his few mistakes. Kyle Tucker took him deep for a two-run home run in the third inning, and Reese McGuire added a grand slam in the fourth. Mederos has now given up four homers over 13 innings across his last three starts. He's posted a 7.41 ERA, 1.76 WHIP and 14:12 K:BB through 17 innings in the majors this season.

  • Astros' Christian Walker: Comes up clutch Saturday

Walker went 2-for-4 with a two-run home run and an additional run scored in Saturday's 9-8 win over the Orioles.

Walker singled and scored in the first inning before breaking a 7-7 tie with a two-run blast in the seventh. The first baseman has now homered in three straight games and has tallied 11 extra-base hits and 17 RBI through 20 August contests. For the year, he's slashing .237/.303/.407 with 19 long balls, 72 RBI, 57 runs scored and a stolen base across 519 plate appearances.

  • Jesus Sanchez RF | TOR

Astros' Jesus Sanchez: Hits first homer with new club

Sanchez went 2-for-5 with a solo home run, a double and an additional run scored in Saturday's 9-8 win over the Orioles.

Sanchez smacked his first home run in 21 games with the Astros in the first inning. The 27-year-old entered the four-game set against the Orioles in a brutal 0-for-27 slump but has since gone 7-for-11 with three extra-base hits, four runs scored and two RBI over three contests. For the season, he's slashing .250/.331/.410 with 11 homers, 39 RBI, 50 runs scored and nine steals across 412 plate appearances.

  • Carlos Correa SS | HOU

Astros' Carlos Correa: Homers in win

Correa went 2-for-5 with a two-run home run in Saturday's 9-8 win over the Orioles.

Correa opened the scoring with a two-run blast in the first inning before adding a single in the fifth. The 30-year-old has now hit safely in eight straight games, batting .338 with six extra-base hits, 12 RBI and 11 runs scored since rejoining the Astros at the trade deadline. For the season, he's slashing .281/.333/.405 with 10 homers, 43 RBI and 51 runs scored across 451 plate appearances.
