  • Angels' Jo Adell: Racks up four more hits

Adell went 4-for-5 with a double and three runs scored in Saturday's 8-0 win over the Rays. This was Adell's second four-hit effort in June. The outfielder has gone 14-for-45 (.311) this month, though just three of those knocks have gone for extra bases. That's still a lot better than his .249 batting average on the year. For the season, Adell has added a .685 OPS, 10 home runs, 10 doubles, three stolen bases, 39 RBI and 33 runs scored over 71 contests. He continues to play consistently with the ability to chip in a little bit across the board, though he's well behind the power pace that saw him hit 37 homers last year.

  • Angels' Jo Adell: Goes deep in four-hit effort

Adell went 4-for-5 with a two-run home run and two additional runs scored in Sunday's 13-5 victory over the Dodgers. Adell logged a season high with four knocks, highlighted by a monstrous two-run homer to extend the Angels' lead in the seventh inning. It marked the outfielder's first multi-hit performance since May 20, as he entered Sunday hitting .155 across his previous 15 appearances. On the year, Adell is slashing .243/.283/.392 with 10 homers, 37 RBI, 26 runs and three stolen bases across 66 games.

  • Angels' Jo Adell: Clubs ninth homer

Adell went 1-for-5 with a three-run home run in Saturday's 14-3 victory versus the Rays. Adell made the most of his lone hit, clobbering a 431-foot, three-run homer to center field in the ninth inning. The veteran outfielder has been all-or-nothing at the plate of late -- over his past 10 games, he's batting just 7-for-40 with 11 strikeouts and no walks but has three homers and two doubles. Adell hit a career-high 37 long balls last season but is well off that pace in 2026 with nine homers through 59 contests.

  • Angels' Jo Adell: Homer, double in loss

Adell went 2-for-4 with a solo home run and a double in Wednesday's 6-5 extra-inning loss to the Athletics. Adell has gone just 10-for-41 (.244) over his last 12 games, but eight of his hits in that span (three homers, five doubles) have gone for extra bases. In terms of pop, he's doing about as well as anyone in the Angels' lineup. The veteran outfielder is hitting .255 with a .701 OPS, seven homers, 28 RBI, 17 runs scored, seven doubles and two stolen bases over 50 contests. That said, he's unlikely to come anywhere near his 37-homer, 98-RBI campaign from 2025.

  • Angels' Jo Adell: Goes deep twice Sunday

Adell went 3-for-4 with a double and two solo home runs during the Angels' 6-1 win over the Blue Jays on Sunday. Adell logged a career-high 37 home runs during the 2025 season but was sitting at just four long balls heading into Sunday's contest. He cracked solo home runs off Eric Lauer in both the sixth and ninth frames, marking Adell's first multi-homer game since Aug. 19. Although he's taken a slight step back in the power department, Adell has a .314 OBP in 172 plate appearances, which is slightly higher than last season (.293 across 573 plate appearances).

  • Angels' Jo Adell: Three-hit effort in win

Adell went 3-for-5 with one RBI and one run scored in Saturday's 4-3 extra-inning win over the Mets. Adell got the scoring started with a single in the first inning while posting his second three-hit effort of the season. It was a nice bounce back after his modest seven-game hitting streak was snapped Friday, and the 27-year-old has now hit safely in nine of his past 11 games overall. For the year, he's slashing .268/.306/.370 with four home runs, 20 RBI, 14 runs scored and two steals across 147 plate appearances.

  • Angels' Jo Adell: Launches long ball Saturday

Adell went 1-for-4 with a solo home run in Saturday's loss to the Royals. Adell accounted for the only Angels run with a solo shot to center field in the fourth inning. The homer also extended the outfielder's streak of producing an RBI to three games. Adell isn't on pace to approach the career-high 37 long balls he hit last season, as he's gone deep a modest four times through 28 contests this year. However, he's shown improvement in other areas, as his .265 batting average is on pace to be a career-best mark, and his 19.8 percent strikeout rate would easily be the lowest of his career.

  • Angels' Jorge Soler: Batting cleanup in return

Soler will start at designated hitter and bat cleanup in Sunday's game against the Padres. After completing his four-game suspension Saturday, Soler will slot back into his typical spot in the heart of the Angels lineup for the series finale. Jo Adell will move down to the No. 6 spot in the order after occupying the cleanup spot during three of the four games that Soler was out.

  • Angels' Jo Adell: Swats second homer in win

Adell went 2-for-5 with a solo home run in Tuesday's 7-1 win over the Yankees. Mike Trout, Adell and Jorge Soler went back-to-back-to-back with solo shots in the top of the first inning against left-hander Ryan Weathers. Adell's homer was just his second of the season, as his flyball and hard-hit rates are down to begin the 2026 campaign. Even with the depressed rates, Adell is still getting on base and finding holes in the defense, as he's slashing .315/.351/.411 with the two long balls, eight RBI, eight runs scored, one stolen base and a 1:13 BB:K across 77 plate appearances.

  • Angels' Jo Adell: Belts first homer

Adell went 2-for-4 with a two-run home run in a 6-2 victory versus Atlanta on Monday. Adell's biggest headlines this season have come for his home-run robberies -- he had three of them against Seattle on Saturday -- but the slugger was able to hit his first ball over the wall Monday. The homer came in the fifth inning and gave the Angels their final runs of the game. In addition to playing great defense, Adell has opened the campaign doing fine at the plate, as he's slashing .262/.295/.333 with five RBI through 44 plate appearances.

  • Angels' Jo Adell: Lands $5.2 million deal

Adell and the Angels agreed to a one-year, $5.2 million contract to avoid arbitration Thursday, Jeff Fletcher of The Orange County Register reports. Adell made significant strides in 2025 and became an excellent source of power, smacking 37 long balls paired with a 17.2 percent barrel rate. This marked his second year of arbitration eligibility, and he's set for a raise of $3.1 million relative to last year.

  • Angels' Jo Adell: Goes deep in loss

Adell went 2-for-4 with a solo home run in Saturday's 5-3 loss to the Mariners. Adell has battled vertigo over the last week, but it's a positive sign he was able to play the full game in right field after appearing off the bench Friday. He also connected for his sixth homer in September and 36th long ball of the year, taking Bryan Woo deep in the second inning. Adell has maintained a .243/.303/.509 slash line with 95 RBI, 58 runs scored, 17 doubles and five stolen bases through 139 contests this season.

  • Angels' Jo Adell: Sitting again Friday

Adell (illness) isn't in the lineup for Friday's game against the Mariners, Rhett Bollinger of MLB.com reports. Adell will miss out on the starting nine for the fourth time in the Angels' last five games while he continues to battle through a case of vertigo. Chris Taylor will fill the void in right field and bat second.

  • Angels' Jo Adell: Scratched Thursday

Adell (illness) was scratched from the lineup ahead of Thursday's game against the Mariners, Jeff Fletcher of The Orange County Register reports. Adell returned to action Wednesday after missing two games due to vertigo, but renewed symptoms will force him to miss Thursday's contest as well. Chris Taylor will move to right field to cover for Adell, and Luis Rengifo will enter the lineup to start at second base.

  • Angels' Jo Adell: Cleared to start Wednesday

Adell (illness) will start in right field and bat cleanup in Wednesday's game against the Twins, Erica Weston of Bally Sports West reports. Adell looks ready to play Wednesday after missing the first two games of the series due to a case of vertigo, which first cropped up during Sunday's 4-3 win over the Athletics. However, because Adell was initially listed in the lineup both of the past two days before being scratched, those planning on using the outfielder in daily moves leagues or DFS contests will want to ensure he's still on track to play as the 4:07 p.m. ET first pitch approaches. The 26-year-old's progression as a power hitter has been a welcome sight in an otherwise underwhelming season for the 68-77 Angels, as Adell will heads into Wednesday's contest with a .243/.303/.507 slash line to go with 35 home runs and 94 RBI across 469 plate appearances.

  • Angels' Jo Adell: Late scratch Tuesday

Adell (illness) was scratched from the lineup ahead of Tuesday's game versus Minnesota, Rhett Bollinger of MLB.com reports. Adell was pulled from Sunday's contest after experiencing a bout of vertigo, and he'll now miss a second consecutive start while he continues to recover. Chris Taylor will step in as the Angels' starting right fielder and bat fifth.

  • Angels' Jo Adell: Good to go Tuesday

Adell (illness) is starting in right field and batting fifth Tuesday against the Twins, Erica Weston of Bally Sports West reports. The 26-year-old was scratched from Monday's starting nine due to an illness but is back in action for Tuesday's contest. Adell has carried a hot bat to begin September, as he's batting .407 (11-for-27) with five homers and 12 RBI through seven games.

  • Angels' Jo Adell: Late scratch Monday

Adell has been scratched from Monday's game against the Twins due to vertigo, Erica Weston of Bally Sports West reports. Adell was initially penciled in to man right field in Monday's series opener, but he's been unable to put this issue behind him after also experiencing the illness Sunday, resulting in his removal from the matchup. He'll continue to be considered day-to-day moving forward. Matthew Lugo will draw the start in right field and bat seventh in Adell's absence.

  • Angels' Jo Adell: Tallies three hits in loss

Adell went 3-for-5 with a solo home run in Saturday's 17-4 loss to the Athletics. Adell was one of two Angels to log multiple hits in the blowout loss. He's up to 34 homers on the year, including nine over his last 19 games, a span in which he's batting .352 (25-for-71) with 20 RBI. The outfielder has contributed 92 RBI, 56 runs scored and five stolen bases while slashing .243/.304/.503 over 135 games in a career year as one of the Angels' most reliable power hitters.

  • Angels' Jo Adell: Homers again

Adell went 3-for-4 with a two-run home run and a double during Tuesday's 5-1 win over the Royals. Adell clubbed a go-ahead two-run home run in the sixth inning, his seventh long ball in the last 15 games and his second in as many days. During that 15-game stretch, Adell is 20-for-56 (.357) with three doubles and 14 RBI.
