Baez was scratched from the lineup for Sunday's game at Baltimore for unspecified reasons, Evan Petzold of the Detroit Free Press reports.

The 30-year-old was penciled in at shortstop and to bat third in Sunday's series finale, but Zach McKinstry has replaced him in the starting lineup. The Tigers should provide an official update on Baez in the near future, and he should be considered day-to-day in the meantime.

Diaz is not in the starting lineup for Sunday's game against the Rangers.

Diaz will get a chance to rest for Sunday's finale against the Rangers with Jordan Diaz handling second base duties and Tyler Wade lined up at shortstop.

Mateo (hip) will start at shortstop and bat sixth in Sunday's game against the Tigers.

Mateo didn't start in either of the past two games while tending to right hip discomfort, but he was included in the initial lineup for Saturday's 5-1 win before ultimately being a late scratch. The 27-year-old took part in a pregame workout Sunday without incident and apparently checked out fine, so he now appears set to put an end to his two-game absence. Gunnar Henderson will move back to the hot corner to open up shortstop for Mateo.

Duran went 2-for-2 with a two-run homer and two runs scored in Saturday's 18-3 victory over the Athletics.

Duran's first long ball of the year came in the eighth inning, when the game was already out of reach. The second-year player now has six career homers after being called up in June. The former top-100 prospect is also on a four-game hit streak, so he seems to be coming into his own at the big-league level.

Edman went 2-for-4 with a solo home run and a stolen base in a loss to Seattle on Saturday.

Edman's homer brought the Cardinals to within a run in the ninth inning, though it proved to be the team's final hit of the game. The long ball was the second in a span of three games for Edman, a stretch during which he's gone 5-for-11 with four extra-base hits and six RBI. Edman had been cold in his six contests prior to the three-game pickup, going 3-for-20 without an extra-base hit.

Chang went 1-for-3 with a two-run home run in Saturday's loss to the Brewers.

Chang has four hits this season, and three of them have left the yard. He's also driven eight runs despite a .111 average. The infielder has a part-time role in Boston with just 36 at bats on the season.

Pena went 3-for-4 with a run scored and a stolen base in Saturday's 6-3 win over Atlanta.

Pena manufactured a run in the eighth inning, as he dropped down a bunt, stole second and came around to score on a Corey Julks single. The bunt single helped Pena to his first three-hit game of the season. It was a good bounce-back performance after he struck out three times Friday. The second-year shortstop has his average up to .226 after a slow start to the season.

Crawford went 1-for-4 with a three-run home run in Saturday's 7-4 victory over the Mets.

Crawford extended the Giants' lead to 4-0 with a three-run homer in the first inning, marking his third long ball of the season. The shortstop currently sports an abysmal .158 batting average and has 18 strikeouts to just seven walks through 16 games (64 plate appearances).

Arroyo (hip) has gone 3-for-12 with a home run, a walk, three RBI and three runs in three games since being reinstated from High-A Dayton's 7-day injured list Tuesday.

Arroyo missed about a week and a half of action due to the left hip strain before returning to the Louisville lineup Tuesday. The 19-year-old switch-hitting infielder is in his first full season in the Cincinnati organization after he was part of the three-prospect package the Reds took back in a deal with Seattle for Luis Castillo at last summer's trade deadline.

DeJong (back) will join the Cardinals in Seattle on Sunday and will likely be activated off the injured list, Derrick Goold of the St. Louis Post-Dispatch reports.

DeJong has been out for the entirety of the season so far while recovering from his back injury. The 29-year-old will likely be back on the roster for the finale against the Mariners, and he should serve in a utility role while he's a member of the club.
