Vaughn Grissom 2B | LAA
Braves' Vaughn Grissom: Recalled from Triple-A
Grissom was recalled from Triple-A Gwinnett by Atlanta on Friday.
The 22-year-old is set to take over as Atlanta's everyday shortstop with Orlando Arcia (wrist) landing on the injured list. Grissom has crushed it at Gwinnett this season, slashing .366/.458/.585 with one homer, two stolen bases and a 6:4 BB:K. His glove remains a work in progress, but he showed his fantasy upside last season and should be picked up in most leagues where he's still available.

Carlos Correa SS | HOU
Twins' Carlos Correa: Returns from injury with homer
Correa went 2-for-3 with a solo home run and an additional run scored in Thursday's win over the Yankees.
Correa made his presence known after missing the previous four games, smacking his first homer of the year. Fantasy managers can rest easy knowing that the superstar is clearly not hobbled by his previous back issues. The former first overall pick in the 2012 MLB draft is off to a slow start this season with a .661 OPS through his first 40 plate appearances.

Willy Adames SS | SF
Brewers' Willy Adames: Swipes two bags in win
Adames went 0-for-3 with two walks and two stolen bases in Thursday's 4-3 extra-inning victory over the Padres.
Adames failed to get a hit in the contest, but he reached twice on walks and stole second base after each free pass. The thefts were his first of the campaign. Adames isn't known as a major threat on the basepaths, though he did steal a career-best eight bags last season.

Ezequiel Duran 2B | TEX
Rangers' Ezequiel Duran: Stepping in as backup shortstop
Duran will serve as the Rangers' backup shortstop while Corey Seager (hamstring) is sidelined, Evan Grant of The Dallas Morning News reports.
Josh Smith started at shortstop Wednesday, and he is expected to remain the primary option at the position so long as Seager is out. Meanwhile, Duran has started only four games this season, all of which have come in left field. While Duran may see a slight uptick in playing time with Seager on the injured list, it appears that he is destined to remain a part-time player.

Javier Baez SS | DET
Tigers' Javier Baez: Will return Friday
Baez will be in the lineup Friday against the Giants, Evan Petzold of the Detroit Free Press reports.
Baez was benched in the third inning of Thursday's game against the Blue Jays after making a mental error that led to him being doubled up at second base. After the game, manager A.J. Hinch announced that Baez will return to the lineup Friday. Prior to being benched, he tallied his first extra-base hit of the 2023 season with a double in the second frame.

Jorge Mateo SS | ATL
Orioles' Jorge Mateo: Swipes seventh bag
Mateo went 0-for-3 with two RBI and a steal in Thursday's 8-7 win over the Athletics.
Mateo now leads the MLB with seven stolen bases early in the season after stealing 35 last year, which was second to only Jon Berti. Mateo has gotten off to a decent start with the bat as well, going 10-for-35 with two home runs. He's up to eight RBI after driving in a pair of runs Thursday via a sacrifice fly and a fielder's choice.

Javier Baez SS | DET
Tigers' Javier Baez: Benched after baserunning error
Baez was removed from Thursday's game in the third inning after a baserunning error, Chris McCosky of The Detroit News reports.
Baez was seemingly in for a positive performance, as he tallied his first extra-base hit of the season with a double in the second inning. However, he was doubled up on a routine flyball one batter later, after it appeared he forgot that there was only one out in the frame. He was subsequently pulled from the game, with Jonathan Schoop entering to play third base while Nick Maton shifted from the hot corner to shortstop.

Vaughn Grissom 2B | LAA
Braves' Vaughn Grissom: In line for MLB return
Grissom will likely be recalled by Atlanta before its next game against Kansas City on Friday, Jim Bowden of The Athletic reports.
With Orlando Arcia headed for the injured list after scans revealed a microfracture in his wrist Thursday, Grissom figures to be the primary option to fill in at shortstop for Atlanta. The 22-year-old infielder has been stellar at the plate with Triple-A Gwinnett, slashing .366/.458/.585 on the year, but problems with his glove kept Grissom out of the majors to start the season.

Orlando Arcia 2B | MIN
Braves' Orlando Arcia: Headed for injured list
Arcia underwent an MRI and CT scan Thursday which revealed a microfracture in his left wrist. As a result, he will be placed on the IL.
The team did not provide a timetable on how long Arcia is expected to be sidelined. While Arcia recovers, Atlanta will most likely recall Vaughn Grissom from Triple-A to serve as the team's primary shortstop.

Paul DeJong SS | DET
Cardinals' Paul DeJong: On extended rehab assignment
Cardinals manager Oli Marmol said Thursday that DeJong (back) is going to have a "somewhat extended rehab" in Triple-A Memphis, Jeff Jones of the Belleville News-Democrat reports.
Because DeJong didn't see much action during spring training, the team is opting to give him plenty of work in the minors before bringing him back onto the major-league roster. So far, DeJong is slashing .167/.167/.222 over his first five minor-league games.
