Crawford is out of the lineup for Wednesday's game against the Twins after he fouled a ball off his right knee in Tuesday's 9-7 win, Ryan Divish of The Seattle Times reports.

Heading into the week, Seattle had been planning to hold Crawford out of the lineup Wednesday for rest purposes, but the shortstop's absence from the lineup for the series finale may be the result of a legitimate injury. Though Crawford didn't exit early after fouling the ball off himself in the top of the ninth inning, manager Scott Servais said that the 28-year-old was feeling sore after the game, according to the Associated Press. The Mariners have an off day Thursday, so Crawford will have the benefit of extra rest before Seattle returns to action Friday in Arizona.

Crawford is not in the starting lineup Wednesday versus the Twins, Shannon Drayer of Seattle Sports 710 AM reports.

Crawford will get a breather after he went 3-for-8 with two doubles and two runs scored over the team's first two contests of the series. Dylan Moore will slot in at shortstop while Cade Marlowe enters the lineup in left field and bats seventh in the series finale with Minnesota.

Abrams went 2-for-4 with an RBI and a stolen base in Tuesday's 6-5 win over the Rockies.

The young shortstop continues to emerge as a fantasy force. Through 19 games in July, Abrams is slashing .342/.386/.566 with three homers, seven RBI and 19 runs while primarily hitting leadoff. He's also gone a perfect 11-for-11 on the basepaths this month, giving Abrams the first of what could be many 20-steal seasons.

Berti will start at third base and bat seventh in Wednesday's game against the Rays, Jordan McPherson of the Miami Herald reports.

Berti will make his fourth consecutive start and his sixth in seven contests overall. He'll be filling in for a resting Jean Segura on Wednesday, but Berti doesn't have a clear path to a regular role at any one position at the moment. In addition to third base, Berti has also made two starts apiece at shortstop and left field over the past week.

Tovar went 2-for-5 with a solo home run in Tuesday's 6-5 loss to the Nationals.

The rookie shortstop produced his second straight multi-hit performance while launching his 10th homer of the year in the third inning off Trevor Williams. Since being away from the Rockies for a few days in mid-June while on paternity leave, Tovar has looked at lot more comfortable at the plate, slashing .281/.303/.479 over 24 games with four homers, two steals, 14 runs and 17 RBI.

Volpe went 1-for-3 with a walk, a double, a run scored, an RBI and a stolen base in Tuesday's 9-3 loss to the Mets.

The rookie shortstop did a little bit of everything, including making his 10th error of the season. Volpe hasn't had a multi-hit performance since July 3, slashing a woeful .130/.203/.278 in 16 games since then with two of his 13 homers and two of his 18 steals on the season.

Lindor went 3-for-5 with a double, three runs scored and two stolen bases in Tuesday's 9-3 win over the Yankees.

The shortstop put together his first multi-hit performance since July 7, which was also the last time he swiped multiple bags or scored multiple runs in a game. In between those efforts, Lindor slashed a rough .125/.239/.150 in 11 contests as he continues to have trouble sustaining any momentum at the plate. On the season, he sports a mediocre .768 OPS, but Lindor does have 19 homers and 17 steals as he closes in on his first 20-20 campaign since 2019.

The Giants are planning to call Luciano up from Triple-A Sacramento on Wednesday, Alex Pavlovic of NBC Sports Bay Area reports.

San Francisco is looking to spark its stagnant offense and will reportedly turn to the 21-year-old Luciano to do so. Luciano, a top prospect from the 2018 international signing class, just recently moved up to Triple-A, with Tuesday's game being only his sixth with the affiliate. His overall numbers in the minors this season leave something to be desired, but Pavlovic notes that Luciano is batting .305 with eight homers, eight doubles and 20 RBI in his last 32 games between Double-A and Triple-A. His home run for Sacramento on Tuesday was clocked at 110 mph off the bat, giving him 13 homers and six steals in total this season.

Bichette went 4-for-6 with a two-run home run and a double in Tuesday's 8-7 extra-inning loss to the Dodgers.

The Blue Jays tallied 12 hits as a team, but Bichette was the only Toronto batter with multiple hits. It was a big game for the shortstop, who entered Tuesday stuck in an 0-for-18 slump. He's back up to a .312/.344/.490 slash line with 17 homers, 56 RBI, 48 runs scored, three stolen bases, 23 doubles and a triple through 101 contests.

Swanson went 3-for-3 with a walk, two home runs and four RBI in Tuesday's win over the White Sox.

Swanson took Michael Kopech deep in the second inning with a runner on, then touched up Kopech again in the fourth inning with a solo shot. The shortstop now has 12 home runs this year, with a third of them coming in the last 11 games. Swanson seems to be heating up and could enjoy a strong finish to his first season with the Cubs.
