Ehire Adrianza 3B | LAA
Braves' Ehire Adrianza: Goes to IL with elbow injury
Adrianza was placed on the 10-day injured list by Atlanta on Friday with right elbow inflammation.
The move is retroactive to May 2, so Adrianza will be eligible to return when Atlanta begins a road trip May 12. Braden Shewmake has taken his spot on the roster.

Braden Shewmake SS | HOU
Braves' Braden Shewmake: Recalled from Triple-A
Shewmake was recalled from Triple-A Gwinnett by Atlanta on Friday.
Shewmake has slashed .243/.282/.456 with five homers and nine steals at Gwinnett this season while splitting time between second base and shortstop. With Vaughn Grissom not hitting much, Mark Bowman of MLB.com believes Shewmake could get a long look at shortstop due to his superior glove until Orlando Arcia (wrist) returns.

Ezequiel Tovar SS | COL
Rockies' Ezequiel Tovar: Seven-game hitting streak
Tovar went 1-for-3 with a double, two RBI and two runs scored Thursday against the Brewers.
Tovar delivered a two-RBI double in the seventh inning to start a late rally for the Rockies. The performance extended his hitting streak to seven games, during which he has gone 8-for-24 with a home run, four RBI and five runs scored in that span. He has benefitted from a lengthy homestand -- only one of those seven games has been on the road -- but he has still quietly improved his season-long line in recent weeks.

J.P. Crawford SS | SEA
Mariners' J.P. Crawford: Small-ball success Thursday
Crawford went 0-for-2 with two walks and two runs in a win over the Athletics on Thursday.
The veteran shortstop is just 2-for-23 over his last seven games following a 3-for-4 effort that featured a grand slam against the Phillies on April 26, but he still managed to make an impact Thursday. Crawford's multi-run effort was his fourth of the season, and despite a middling .226 batting average, he's maintaining an elite .374 OBP thanks to a 19.0 percent walk rate.

Tommy Edman 2B | LAD
Cardinals' Tommy Edman: Swats fifth homer
Edman went 2-for-4 with a three-run home run and an additional run scored in a loss to the Angels on Thursday.
Edman belted a three-run shot to right field in the fourth inning, giving him his first multi-RBI game since April 19. The shortstop had been in the midst of a slump coming into the contest, going just 2-for-15 over his previous three games. Edman is up to five homers and 13 RBI through 30 games on the campaign, putting him on pace to surpass last year's career-best marks of 13 long balls and 57 RBI.

Jon Berti 3B | CHC
Marlins' Jon Berti: Racks up three hits
Berti went 3-for-5 with a stolen base and a run scored in Thursday's 6-3 loss to Atlanta.
Berti and Jorge Soler went a combined 6-for-10 on Thursday, while the rest of the Marlins managed just four hits and three walks. Berti's steal snapped a span of 16 games without one for the speedster. He's up to five thefts with two home runs, eight RBI, 13 runs scored and a .261/.324/.370 slash line through 103 plate appearances.

Orlando Arcia 2B | MIN
Braves' Orlando Arcia: Begins taking dry swings
Arcia (wrist) began taking dry swings Thursday, Justin Toscano of The Atlanta Journal-Constitution reports.
It's a significant step forward for Arcia, who had been limited to throwing and running over the last few weeks but is now getting into a fuller range of baseball activities. There is still no exact timetable on his return from a microfracture in his left wrist, an injury he suffered April 12, but the middle of May seems like a reasonable target as things stand with his ongoing rehab.

Jon Berti 3B | CHC
Marlins' Jon Berti: In leadoff spot Thursday
Berti is starting at shortstop and batting leadoff Thursday versus Atlanta, Jordan McPherson of the Miami Herald reports.
Jazz Chisholm has the day off and Joey Wendle (intercostal) is still out on a rehab assignment, so Berti will make get another turn out of the leadoff spot -- his second in the Marlins' last four games. The 33-year-old speedster figures to move back into more of a utility role once Wendle returns.

Tim Anderson 2B | LAA
White Sox's Tim Anderson: Getting day off
Anderson is absent from the White Sox's lineup for Thursday's game against the Twins.
Anderson had three hits Wednesday, but the team just wants to ease him back into things after he returned from a knee injury earlier this week. Elvis Andrus will play shortstop and Lenyn Sosa will handle second base.
