Mateo went 1-for-2 with a walk, a stolen base and a run scored in Wednesday's 5-1 win over the Nationals.

Mateo reached the 30-steal mark for the second year in a row, and he did it with four thefts over his last 10 contests. The shortstop has regularly been in the lineup versus southpaws lately, but he's seen minimal playing time versus righties. For the season, Mateo has a .219/.270/.344 slash line with seven home runs, 33 RBI and 56 runs scored over 112 contests, but he's hit just .180 with one homer since the start of May.

Correa (foot) will not rejoin the Twins before the end of the regular season, Betsy Helfand of the St. Paul Pioneer Press reports.

The original plan had been for Correa to travel with the Twins to Colorado for their final series of the regular season. However, the decision has been made for him to stay back and participate in simulated games instead. It is not being viewed as a setback, as Correa still appears in line to play in Game 1 of the Wild Card round next week. The veteran shortstop has been plagued by plantar fasciitis and will finish the 2023 season having slashed a disappointing .230/.312/.399 with 18 home runs over 135 games.

Lindor went 4-for-7 with two walks, three home runs and six RBI across both games of Wednesday's doubleheader split with the Marlins.

The shortstop took Braxton Garrett deep for a two-run shot in the matinee as the Mets romped to an 11-2 victory before accounting for his team's only offense in the nightcap with solo shots off Johnny Cueto in the second and fourth innings. The power display has given Lindor his first 30-homer season since 2019 as well as his first career 30-30 campaign, and he needs just four more RBI over New York's final four games to add his second straight 100-RBI season to his ledger as well.

Berti went 5-for-7 with two walks, a double, a triple, a solo home run, a second run scored and a stolen base across both games of Wednesday's doubleheader split with the Mets.

After getting the start at second base in the matinee and going 3-for-4 with his double and triple, Berti moved over the third base in the nightcap and completed his pseudo-cycle by leading off the game with his seventh homer of the year against Kodai Senga. Berti has reeled off five multi-hit performances in his last six starts as part of an eight-game hitting streak, and the veteran utility player is batting .583 (14-for-24) over that blistering stretch with seven extra-base hits (two doubles, a triple and four home runs), two steals, six runs and six RBI. The Marlins are currently tied for the final wild-card spot in the NL, and should they make the postseason, Berti's September could become the stuff of legend in Miami.

Seager went 2-for-5 in Wednesday's 5-0 win over the Angels.

Seager, who was removed from Tuesday's game after getting hit by a pitch on the forearm, didn't miss much time. He was back in the starting lineup Wednesday and delivered a couple of singles. The shortstop extended his hitting streak to eight games, during which he's 10-for-32 (.313).

De La Cruz went 1-for-3 with a walk and two steals in Wednesday's 4-3 loss to the Guardians.

De La Cruz, whose second-half slump prompted a drop in the order, has used his legs to make up for the shortcomings of his bat. Aside from the two home runs he hit Tuesday, the rookie has reached base safely six times and stolen six bases over the last five games. The two thefts leave him with 35 over 95 games.

Crawford went 1-for-2 with a solo home run and three walks in Wednesday's 8-3 loss to the Astros.

Crawford made an early impact, opening the scoring on the second pitch he saw from Framber Valdez. Through 25 games in September, Crawford has gone 25-for-101 (.248) with six homers, 15 RBI and 15 walks. The shortstop is up to 18 long balls, 59 RBI, 92 runs scored, two stolen bases and a .264/.380/.434 slash line through 141 contests. He's also shown strong plate discipline with a 15.0 percent walk rate and a 19.8 percent strikeout rate.

Seager (forearm) is starting at shortstop and batting second Wednesday against the Angels.

Seager was removed from Tuesday's loss to the Angels a few innings after taking a Reid Detmers fastball off his right forearm, but X-rays turned up negative and he will immediately return to action for the Rangers in Wednesday's series finale. The 29-year-old has delivered a robust .332/.394/.640 batting line with 33 homers, 42 doubles and 96 RBI across 114 games this season.

Adames is not in the lineup for Wednesday's game against the Cardinals.

The Brewers are sitting multiple regulars, including Adames, after clinching the NL Central title Tuesday. Brice Turang will shift to shortstop while Andruw Monasterio starts at the keystone.

Turner is not in the lineup for Wednesday's game against the Pirates.

The Phillies punched their ticket to the playoffs with Tuesday's win over the Pirates, so Turner will receive Wednesday off after making 18 straight starts. The 30-year-old delivered an ugly first half but has a .308/.361/.621 slash line since the start of August to improve his season-long OPS to .770
