  • Oneil Cruz CF | PIT

Pirates' Oneil Cruz: Launches 12th homer

Cruz went 2-for-3 with a two-run home run, a walk and a strikeout in Sunday's 4-2 win over Atlanta.

Cruz hit a 452-foot missile off Spencer Schwellenbach in the fifth inning to give the Pirates a lead they wouldn't relinquish. It was the third-longest homer of his career, and it had an exit velocity of 117.3 MPH, which is also the third-hardest of his career. There have been five home runs with exit velocities of 117 or more this season, and Cruz has two of them. The 25-year-old has three long balls over his last seven games, and he's up to 12 homers, 36 RBI, six steals and 36 runs for the season.

  • Miguel Rojas 2B | LAD

Dodgers' Miguel Rojas: Getting day off

Rojas is out of the lineup for Sunday's game against the Giants.

For the first time since Mookie Betts landed on the 10-day injured list June 17 with a fractured wrist, Rojas will head to the bench. While taking over as the Dodgers' everyday shortstop over the past two weeks, Rojas slashed a robust .350/.386/.450 with four extra-base hits (all doubles) over a stretch of 11 starts. Enrique Hernandez will occupy shortstop Sunday in Rojas' stead.

  • Carlos Correa SS | HOU

Twins' Carlos Correa: Receiving Sunday off

Correa is out of the lineup for Sunday's game at Seattle.

The veteran shortstop was in the lineup the past two days after being hit by a pitch on the right wrist Thursday, but he'll receive a day off for Sunday's series finale. Correa didn't appear to be affected by the injury as he went 3-for-8 with a two-run homer and an additional run scored in the first two games of the series.

  • Giants' Tyler Fitzgerald: Nabs sixth steal

Fitzgerald recorded a stolen base as a pinch runner in Saturday's 14-7 extra-innings loss to the Dodgers.

Fitzgerald joined the Giants as extra infield depth when Thairo Estrada (wrist) went on the injured list Friday. It's likely Fitzgerald will mostly provide speed and defensive versatility off the bench, though he should be in line for some starts versus southpaws. He's in the lineup versus lefty James Paxton on Sunday, starting at second base over Brett Wisely. Fitzgerald is slashing .273/.333/.409 with six steals and six extra-base hits across 72 plate appearances this year.

  • Bo Bichette 3B | NYM

Blue Jays' Bo Bichette: Not in Sunday's lineup

Bichette is out of the lineup for Sunday's game versus the Yankees.

Per Shi Davidi of Sportsnet.ca, Bichette will get a scheduled day off after he started the past four games upon his return from the injured list Tuesday. Since coming off the IL, Bichette has gone 3-for-17 with three walks, a double and five runs. Isiah Kiner-Falefa will shift to shortstop while Ernie Clement receives a start at third base.

  • Miguel Rojas 2B | LAD

Dodgers' Miguel Rojas: Tallies three hits, four RBI

Rojas went 3-for-5 with four RBI and a run scored in Saturday's extra-innings win over the Giants.

Rojas recorded RBI singles in two of his first three trips to the plate before also coming around to score himself during a four-run fourth inning for Los Angeles. The shortstop continued to generate offense throughout the night, finishing with a season-high four RBI. Rojas has now recorded multiple hits in four of his last six games, going 10-for-22 (.454) over that stretch with three doubles, four RBI and five runs scored. He's batting .323 overall in June.

  • Jeremy Pena SS | HOU

Astros' Jeremy Pena: Scores twice, drives in two

Pena went 1-for-3 with a double, a walk, two RBI and two runs scored Saturday against the Mets.

Pena did the majority of his damage with a two-RBI double in the fourth inning. He has now driven in eight runs across his last seven starts, and he's also hit .320 in that span. Pena has just a .099 ISO across 327 plate appearances this season, though he's cut his strikeout rate to 16.5 percent and is hitting a career-best .281.

  • C.J. Abrams SS | WAS

Nationals' CJ Abrams: Hits leadoff homer Saturday

Abrams went 2-for-3 with a solo home run, a double, a walk, two total runs and two total RBI in an 8-1 win against the Rays on Saturday.

Abrams didn't wait long to make his presence felt, swatting a 396-foot homer to lead off the contest. It was the 13th long ball of the campaign for the shortstop, and he's well on pace to surpass the 18 home runs he hit during his first full big-league season last year. Abrams hasn't been as successful as a runner this season -- he's just 13-for-22 in stolen-base attempts after going 47-for-51 in 2023 -- but he's otherwise shown growth in nearly every offensive category, slashing .278/.334/.498 with 20 doubles, five triples, 50 runs and 42 RBI through 328 plate appearances.

  • Corey Seager SS | TEX

Rangers' Corey Seager: X-rays on wrist return negative

X-rays on Seager's left wrist came back negative after he exited in the fifth inning of Saturday's 6-5 loss to the Orioles when he was hit by a pitch, Evan Grant of The Dallas Morning News reports. He'll undergo further evaluation Sunday.

Seager went 1-for-2 with a solo home run before his night came to an early end during his third trip to the plate. He looked to be in significant pain when he took a Cade Povich pitch to the wrist, but fortunately, he appears to have avoided any structural damage. Even so, Seager is likely still hurting and shouldn't be expected to return to the lineup for Sunday's series finale in Baltimore. The Rangers will likely see how he's feeling early Sunday before providing an update on his status.

  • Corey Seager SS | TEX

Rangers' Corey Seager: Exits after HBP

Seager was hit in the left wrist by a pitch in the fifth inning and immediately exited the game, Jake Rill of MLB.com reports.

Seager was in visible pain after being hit in the wrist area and walked straight back to the dugout. Davis Wendzel entered to run for Seager. Seager went 1-for-2 with a solo homer before the incident, and we should learn more about the injury postgame.
