Pena went 1-for-4 with a stolen base and a run scored in Monday's 9-7 loss to the Angels.

Pena is hitting .324 (23-for-71) over 19 games in May. It hasn't been a totally empty average -- he's picked up five extra-base hits, three steals, nine RBI and 14 runs scored. The shortstop is slashing .326/.365/.457 with seven steals, five homers, 20 RBI and 30 runs through 48 contests overall. He's in an everyday role and on pace for a 20-steal season, so there's a fair amount to like about Pena's game in his third major-league season.

Henderson went 1-for-3 with a three-run home run and a walk in Monday's 6-3 loss to the Cardinals.

Henderson has homered in four straight games and continues to lead the majors with 16 long balls. The shortstop's sixth-inning blast off Sonny Gray was all the runs the Orioles could muster Monday. Henderson stumbled a bit in the middle of May, but he's quickly returned to form and is now sporting a .271/.351/.610 slash line with 34 RBI, 35 runs scored and seven stolen bases over 45 contests.

Swanson (knee) was activated from the 10-day injured list Monday night, per MLB's transaction log.

Swanson was expected to be activated prior to Tuesday's game against Atlanta, and the team has elected to make the move official a bit earlier than anticipated despite not having a game Monday. Miles Mastrobuoni and Pete Crow-Armstrong were optioned to Triple-A Iowa in corresponding moves, making room for the upcoming promotion of Luis Vazquez.

The Mariners optioned Rivas to Triple-A Tacoma on Monday, Daniel Kramer of MLB.com reports.

Rivas has been up with the big club for nearly four weeks but has hardly played, accruing just six plate appearances. He'll see more regular action back at Tacoma.

The Mariners activated Crawford (oblique) from the 10-day injured list Monday, Daniel Kramer of MLB.com reports.

The Mariners put Crawford through a full pregame workout Monday, which is surely the reason why he's not in the lineup. He will be available off the bench, though, before likely returning to the starting nine Tuesday. Dylan Moore will handle shortstop again Monday.

DeJong went 3-for-4 with a homer, a stolen base, two RBI and two runs scored in Monday's loss to Toronto.

DeJong cracked his seventh home run of the season in the fourth inning, hitting it 402 feet to center. The Chicago shortstop has enjoyed a hot start to May, hitting .288 (17-for-59) with four homers, 12 runs scored and eight RBI this month. Overall, DeJong is slashing .246/.295/.462 in 139 plate appearances while playing shortstop every day for the White Sox.

Crawford (oblique) will go through a pregame workout Monday before likely being activated from the injured list Tuesday, Ryan Divish of The Seattle Times reports.

Crawford is with the Mariners in New York and insists he's ready to go, but the club wants to see him get through a workout first before it brings him back. He's been out since late April with a Grade 1 right oblique strain. Dylan Moore is handling shortstop again for Seattle on Monday.

The Giants optioned Fitzgerald to Triple-A Sacramento on Monday, Susan Slusser of the San Francisco Chronicle reports.

The corresponding move is expected to be waiver claim Ryan McKenna officially being added to the roster. Fitzgerald has slashed a solid .269/.309/.442 in 55 plate appearances this season, although that's come with a 36.4 percent strikeout rate and 3.6 percent walk rate.

Hamilton hit a solo home run in his lone plate appearance in Sunday's 11-3 win over St. Louis.

Hamilton entered as a pinch hitter in the ninth inning and belted his second home run of the season. He's hit in four straight games and has gone 5-for-11 over that stretch, but his playing time has largely dried up since Ceddanne Rafaela was moved from center field to shortstop. Hamilton's started just five times over the last 21 games.

Alexander started at third base and went 1-for-4 with an RBI in Sunday's 6-4 win over the Tigers.

Alexander had one of the two productive run-producing outs in the bottom of the seventh inning when the Diamondbacks reclaimed a lead they lost in the top half of the frame. He started for the fourth time in the last eight games, and it was his first start at third base. After a spell as the regular fill-in for Geraldo Perdomo (knee) at shortstop, Alexander has taken a back seat to Kevin Newman. With recent news coming out that Perdomo is expected back in two weeks, Alexander could be moving down to the minors in early June.
