Martinez is out of the lineup for Monday's game against the Astros.

While Martinez is still holding down a respectable .262 batting average for the season, it's fallen more than 50 points over the past week while he's gone just 2-for-18 at the dish during that time. The Guardians will likely continue to make room for Martinez in the lineup against left-handed pitching, but his playing time versus right-handers has been trending down of late. He'll head to the bench Monday for the third time in the Guardians' last five matchups with righties.

The Rangers released Wade on Monday, Jeff Wilson of AllDLLS.com reports.

Wade had been at Triple-A Round Rock, where he was slashing only .226/.315/.242 across his first 73 plate appearances. The 31-year-old will now be on the lookout for a new organization that's in need of utility depth.

Baez is not in the lineup for Monday's contest against the Red Sox.

Baez had drawn seven consecutive starts, but he'll get a day off for the Patriots' Day game in Boston. Matt Vierling will patrol center field, and Kevin McGonigle will occupy shortstop in the series finale.

Brito went 1-for-4 with a double and two RBI in Sunday's 8-4 win over the Orioles.

Brito contributed a two-run double to the Guardians' four-run fourth inning. The hit snapped an 0-for-13 slide and his first extra-base hit and RBI since April 8. He's getting regular playing time while Gabriel Arias (hamstring) in on the injured list, but a slash line of .184/.244/263 leaves Brito vulnerable. Daniel Schneemann (.890 OPS) lurks on the 26-man roster, and elite prospect Travis Bazzana is heating up -- .414/.485/.759 in last seven games -- at Triple-A Columbus after a slow start. Brito's also made three errors since arriving in Cleveland, which could prompt a move to replace him.

Meidroth went 2-for-5 with two runs scored and a double Sunday against the Athletics.

Meidroth had a concerning start to the season due to an elevated strikeout rate, though his performance has improved of late. He extended his hitting streak to five games Sunday, highlighted by a leadoff single in the first inning and a two-out double one frame later. In that five-game span, Meidroth has gone 8-for-20 with six runs scored and a stolen base.

Hernaiz went 1-for-2 with a solo home run, an additional run scored and two walks in Sunday's loss to the White Sox.

With Max Muncy shifting to designated hitter, Hernaiz drew the start at third base and connected on his first homer of the season, a solo shot off Noah Schultz in the second inning. In addition to being his first long ball, Sunday's homer marked the utility infielder's first extra-base hit and RBI of the year. Hernaiz figures to continue operating primarily as a reserve, with most of his starts coming against left-handed pitching.

Montgomery went 1-for-3 with a solo home run and a walk in Sunday's victory over Athletics.

Montgomery went deep for the second straight day, this time crushing a slider over the center-field fence in a lefty-lefty matchup with Jeffrey Springs in the fifth inning. The infielder has been on a power surge of late, slashing .261/.414/.739 with three homers, six RBI and four runs over his past seven games. After posting an .840 OPS across 71 games as a rookie in 2025, Montgomery owns a .771 mark through 22 contests in 2026.

Perez (2-1) earned the win Sunday against the Brewers, allowing one unearned run on three hits and one walk while striking out seven over six innings.

Perez turned in a strong performance, cruising through five scoreless innings, including striking out the side in the second, before running into minor trouble in the sixth. After issuing a leadoff walk to David Hamilton, a throwing error by catcher Liam Hicks allowed the latter to reach third, and he later scored on a groundout. The outing was a much-needed correction after Perez allowed 15 runs over his first 20 innings of the season. The right-hander now owns a 4.15 ERA, 1.35 WHIP and a 27:12 K:BB across 26 innings, and he will look to build on this performance in his next scheduled start against a Giants lineup that has struggled offensively this year.

Dominguez picked up the save Sunday against Athletics. He allowed no hits, a walk and hit a batter while striking out one over a scoreless inning.

Dominguez allowed some traffic but ultimately shut the door with the tying run at the plate, as Jacob Wilson popped out to center field to secure the win for the White Sox. It marked the hard-throwing right-hander's fourth save of the season, though his 5.63 ERA and 1.75 WHIP with a 10:8 K:BB across eight innings highlight that the 31-year-old has plenty of room to improve in 2026. In nine outings this season, he has held the opponent scoreless in seven of them while allowing multiple runs in the other two.

Johnson started in right field and went 2-for-3 with a double, an RBI and a stolen base in Sunday's victory over the Angels.

Johnson drew a rare start, with Fernando Tatis shifting to second base. The former made the most of the opportunity, notching two hits and driving in a key run in the seventh inning to extend the lead to 2-0 in a 2-1 win for the Padres. In 18 plate appearances this season, Johnson owns a .669 OPS and figures to continue seeing limited playing time in a loaded San Diego outfield that regularly features Ramon Laureano, Jackson Merrill and Tatis.
