Gordon (wrist) will start at second base and bat seventh Sunday against the Athletics, Ryan Divish of The Seattle Times reports.

The Mariners held Gordon out of action in Saturday's 11-2 loss while he managed a bruised right wrist, but the injury was never viewed as a major problem. With the health concern behind him, Gordon will reclaim his everyday role in the infield, but he'll have to settle for a spot in the bottom half of the order with the Mariners receiving quality production atop the lineup lately from Mallex Smith.

Adrianza will start at first base and bat ninth Sunday against the Royals, Phil Miller of the Minneapolis Star Tribune reports.

Manager Rocco Baldelli will reward Adrianza will a fourth consecutive start after the utility man rapped out five hits and drew a walk in the previous three contests. Adrianza offers some nice versatility and has made impressive strides at the plate this season -- his .794 OPS is 87 points better than his previous career high -- but he'll have trouble finding consistent playing time in a loaded Minnesota lineup once his recent surge ends.

DeJong went 3-for-4 with a run-scoring sacrifice fly, a stolen base and a run in a loss to the Mets on Saturday.

After a forgettable May at the plate, DeJong has seen the hits start to fall again in June. The shortstop has now reached safely in 10 of his last 11 games, and he has multi-hit efforts in two of his last three. The strong stretch has DeJong's season line back up to a solid .277/.364/.496.

Adames is out of the lineup for Sunday's game against the Angels, Neil Solondz of the Rays Radio Network reports.

Utility man Joey Wendle will check into the starting nine in Adames' stead, batting seventh while manning shortstop in the series finale. Given that he's put together a middling .242/.308/.368 slash line on the season, Adames' hold on an everyday role could begin to slip now that Wendle -- one of the majors' top-producing rookies in 2018 -- is back to full health after an extended absence.

Story (forehead) went 3-for-4 with a double, a pair of walks, two runs and an RBI in Saturday's 14-8 win over the Padres.

After leaving Friday's game early when he took a ground ball off his forehead, Story checked back into the lineup a day later and appeared no worse for the wear. He was one of six Rockies to finish with multiple hits on the day, boosting his season-long line at Coors Field to an otherworldly .336/.405/.657.

Crawford went 3-for-4 with a pair of doubles and a run scored in Saturday's 8-7 win over the Brewers.

Crawford's three hits were good for a new season high. Unfortunately for the shortstop's fantasy owners, Stephen Vogt (two RBI) and Kevin Pillar (two RBI) cleared the bases ahead of Crawford in the batting order, leaving no runs to be driven in despite him racking up five total bases.. Still, it was a strong day at the plate for the veteran, who hadn't recorded an extra-base hit since June 2. Crawford is still slashing a mediocre .212/.286/.324 on the year.

Lindor went 1-for-5 with two stolen bases in a 4-2 victory over the Tigers on Saturday.

The pair of steals moves the 25-year-old into the Top 12 in the category in the American League. Considering Lindor missed most of April, that's not bad. He is 9-for-10 in stolen-base attempts, and he's also batting .300 with 11 home runs, 25 RBI and 32 runs in 200 at-bats this season.

Turner went 3-for-5 with a triple in a 10-3 loss to the Diamondbacks on Saturday.

Turner tripled to left field leading off the bottom of the first inning and scored Washington's first run. He is now 13-for-29 in his last seven games to raise his batting average 43 points. His slash line for the season is .298/.348/.550, and he has five homers and 10 stolen bases in 131 at-bats.

Ahmed went 4-for-5 with a double and a triple in a 10-3 win over Washington on Saturday.

Ahmed tripled in the second inning and doubled in the third inning to key rallies for Arizona. The 29-year-old continues to hit well and has 27 extra-base hits this year, leading to a .277/.329/.434 slash line in 249 at-bats.

Gordon apparently suffered the injury over the last couple days when making headfirst slides. The injury doesn't appear to be overly severe, but the 31-year-old will take at least one day off to recover. Dylan Moore is starting at second base in his absence Saturday.
